Which genre do you feel is underrepresented?

Off the top of my head:

Choice of the Cat
For Rent: Haunted House
Fielder’s Choice
Undercover Agent
T-Rex Time Machine (sort of!)
Hero Unmasked
Congresswolf
Sixth Grade Detective
A Wise Use of Time

So, not heavily represented, true. Unfortunately, slice of life isn’t a very popular genre.

Might I ever so humbly and meekly interject that So, You’re Possessed! is all about self-deprecation and not taking itself too seriously. :smirk: And hey, it’s magical realism set in the present day for those who’ve said they’re looking for that, too!

Okay, that concludes my self-promotional PR shill for the day.

What about legal game set in the CCH world where the MC is lawyer who has to defend heroes who have gone a little bit too far defending their city lol

Trust me, I have that story in my head, BUT…since it would still be set in a “superhero world,” it would still turn off folks like my law school classmates who might support a “realistic” legal drama.

Dear lord, trying to put Realism in my Superhero reads!? GASP

Seriously though, I don’t see why this is so bad. If your in law school, that sounds like an interesting topic to me.

If this guy with this power did this and was taken into custody for it and is on trial, how would it go realistically? Frankly this has me curious and I’d love to read / play something like it.

Hey, thanks!

I’ve actually played some of these (not the complete game, because they didn’t interest me enough) I just never made the connection, I suppose. Still, it’s nice to know!

For me it is:

  • Cyberpunk
  • Western
  • Cloak and dagger (like 3 Musketeers etc.)
  • Adventure (like in finding treasure / Indiana Jones Style)
  • Crime / Thriller
  • Sport

I know there are a few games in these Genre but for me, it is not enough. also nearly every game in these genres has a sort of a fantasy touch.

Swashbuckling? Yeah, I could see that working as a cool setting.

Comedy . Cose…laughing is the real cure to everything!

Steam-punk . Cose it’s SOOO Awesome ! Magic + Tech…

Detective kind of stories . Cose…I love agatha christie :hugs:

I want to see some cosmic horror stuff, I kinda want what’s basically the works of Junji Ito in COG form. I also want some more modern day cute slice of life things. And yes, I acknowledge those are 2 different extremes.

I really can’t get enough of supernatural games and romance games.

I’d like to personally see more games like Choice of Romance but maybe in a more modern setting. I think a realistic romance game would be interesting using this engine because you see a lot of those dating sim VNs, those phone text dating sims, and things like virtual GF/BF apps. So I’d like to see what potential can be brought out using CS.

When I mention supernatural games I mean games like Unnatural, where there are a multitude of supernatural beings and as you progress you would learn more about them and stuff like that. Midsummer’s night introduces fairies, and in the Lost Heir games also have supernatural characters, but you never really learn about things like their culture, interactions, and histories.
