I wasn’t a big fan of JJ from Slammed. I mean, it seems like their issue with the MC could’ve been solved by them just asking for a real fight. They did not really need to go through all the hoops they did for their revenge.
Plus I turned down Evan to try to romance them and it was not worth it!
I’m also not the biggest fan of Lucky from Heroes Rise… I mean they’re fine, but they act like their so sweet and nice but they can be so mean to Black Magic. I don’t know, it just bothered me.
I don’t want to be a downer or insult people who do this, but I always seem to dislike the best friend trope who is with you at the start of the game. This is mostly common, but I usually view them as an afterthought. I kind of like building friendships rather than having someone who likes/loves you unconditionally. I think having that option to select their gender takes the immersive aspect out as well. Explaining helps, but if romance is involved I find the other characters more interesting.
Really? I wanted Hades to be my father, but I got Poseidon instead. The moment I found out that I was the child of a fish-man I got really dissappointed. Are you telling me that in order to get the Hades route, I have to choose all the edgy choices? But then again, if the author really did remove Hades as an option then I’ll just have to accept that. Also, i’m kinda confused with the whole relative thing. Aeson > Hade’s son > Hade is Poseidon’s brother > Aeson and the MC are cousins? Are RO even available? Calypso > Daughter of Ares > Ares is Zeus’ son > Which makes Poseidon Ares’ uncle > Calypso and the MC is related??? Unless Gods don’t have DNA and our DNA is given to us by the human parent. A lot of the Gods are Zeus’ children, so aren’t all demigods technically related to each other?
The author has removed Hades as a father option. As for Poseidon, it’s not yet sure that he will be a father option. All we know as of now is Zeus is the confirmed father for the MC.
If I recall correctly, the gods don’t have DNA so the MC are not related to each other per se.
I played Children of the Gods yesterday and I got Poseidon as my father, so yes, Poseidon is actually available. Still dissappointed in myself that I got him though. But thanks for clearing things up! 
The author haven’t update the whole demo so the link has a mixed contents from the updated and the original.
Zeus also married his sister and their children in turn comingled as well (eg. Aphrodite and Hephaestus). Never mind that all of the Titans are siblings and paired up. Clearly the Gods don’t play by the same rules as mortals or it’s all allegorical.
I know. And the night goddess Nyx had 50 children with her brother. But she’s still the night goddess, so I decided to name my MC Nyx.

Hm… to put this thread back on topic, how about I mention another character I dislike? Hmm… Arthur Woodward, from ‘A Study in Steampunk’. Good guy, will do what he says, but a real stuffy shirt, and I don’t appreciate a certain choice of his to obscure a certain character’s existence.
I’ll help. I disliked everyone but Xi from Academy for future Villains. Not in an ‘oh, they’re dastardly Villains’ kind of way, but in a ‘gods, these characters are annoying’ way.
Also Alexandre from the Eagle’s Heir. In an effort to make him malleable to the MC’s influence he just turned out hollow.
Now that you mentioned Eagle’s Heir, I remember another character I didn’t like: their treatment of Napoleon.
Napoleon, in Eagle’s Heir, is a ruler who wishes to not rule, a deeply idealistic man concerned with the independence of the people. An excerpt from a letter written in 1796 says otherwise:
“Do you think…that my object is to establish a Republic? What a notion! A republic of thirty million people, with our morals and vices! How could that ever be? It is a chimera with which the French are infatuated but which will pass away in time like all others…as for liberty, of that they have no conception…The nation must have a head, a head rendered illustrious by glory and not by theories of government…of which the French understand not a wit. Let them have their toys and they will be satisfied. They will amuse themselves and allow themselves to be led, provided the goal is cleverly disguised.”
That sounds like a cynical man who believes people cannot truly be free, willfully manipulates the people who support him, and sees himself quite arrogantly as the “illustrious head” his government needs.
Whitewashing history, even in the context of alternate history, always ticks me off.
I had bouts of like for the mother and Phil, I was sort of indifferent to the point where I didn’t particularly care about any of my character’s relationships.
I strongly assume my annoyance does go back to bad coding decisions in part. Phil, I was fine with until he treated me like a non-person at the party because I didn’t have the requisite stat with him. Same with the mother who inferred my MC did things they didn’t actually do just cause I hadn’t crossed some stat threshold.
Also: Taking back everything I said, Rathna the Soul-Flenser struck me as the most interesting of the whole bunch. And she was consequently not developed any further.
Black Magic, Even though I romanced her in my initial playthrough I started hating her after it ended
Same, I thought at first she must be one of the main characters the MC would interact with but I never even got to see her after the “test”…
I thought she always did that.
That’s what happened for me too, I met her checked the stat screen and realized I should’ve picked Phil.
I usually rarely dislike characters because I like to think each character has there own appeal… But with that said, Hedonist from CCH just rubs me the wrong way? idk hes the only one character i wholly dislike…
