"Werewolves 3: Evolution's End"—The ultimate battle of humans vs. werewolves!

Thats sad, but thank you anyway.

Was anyone completely caught off guard by the whole Winter thing because I was big time to the point I spent what felt like a full hour in shock and just saying wait, what just happened!? especially after she told my MC she was pregnant. :scream:

Like I wasn’t expecting this to be a choice or something that could or would happen at all in this book series, so it was a really nice surprise and something I loved being able to pick because it makes me so happy when my MCs can have a family.

Hey, I’m curious, I’m told that there’s a sort of unintended way to romance Tiva as a girl and that there’s even content in 3 that accounts for it. It’s very awesome that you didn’t have 3 just ignore that, btw.

But I’m curious if it’s still possible and if so how? I’ve seen a lot of the content the first two books have and I’m enjoying the third, but Tiva is a route I’ve never been able to experience purely because I can’t bring myself to play a male char. Just curious if I can still see the f/f content for her, even if it has been trimmed down, since I’m more interested in the dynamic introduced at the end of 2/start of 3 and how that would play out.

Plus, I mean, she’s a favorite character of mine. Even my pacifist couldn’t help but look out for and help her.

I can’t remember exactly how the interactions/variables changed with the patching we did, as it was a while ago now and the interactions were complicated working with legacy code from back when my structure was even worse than it is now.

However, if you’re mainly interested in the romance text (without m/f sex) I’d be happy to copy/paste the most interesting character/romance scenes to you via message.

Ah, that’s okay then. I don’t wanna take up your time with that. It’s just a shame since Tiva’s a great char and integral to the story. I was a little sad when that and having a kid were locked behind being male (especially because our char having pups on the way would have a lot of implications on scenes).

Not that it’s bad writing or anything wrong, it’s purely a me thing that I don’t feel comfy playing male chars in first/second person games.

But thank you for the offer! And I just wanted to say that I love the books, keep up the good work!

Actually, there is one thing I’d be curious about reading, are there any unique bits of text related to Winter being pregnant you can read later? Like do people comment on it or does it come up in a dramatic moment? I don’t want to make you copy and paste all of it, more just curious if it comes up, I guess.

Thank you for the praise  I don’t mind copying some stuff, it doesn’t take much time. I’ll see what I can find tomorrow.

Winter has a few scenes that are different where she talks to the MC about being pregnant and the MC has some unique internal monologue bits at a few points if that happens. Most of that story will take place in book 4.

As for having kids/pups, that will be an option for players of every sex/gender in book 4 toward the epilogue!

If you’re sure, thanks!

And that’s fair, I did know you planned it for the epilogue, I just meant that it won’t be as relevant for most of 3/4 like it is with Winter which is unfortunate.

But good to know, I look forward to book 4!

Sent a bunch of Tiva stuff to you. Enjoy

Tiva stuff is always welcome in these parts.

Thank you!

I’ve been following this series since Haven Rising but I couldn’t read book 3 until very recently. Now that I’ve finished it, I can definitely say it didn’t disappoint. It’s as good as the first two, maybe even better. I just hope we will be able to get even closer to Maker in book 4 if we side with her over everyone else.

Firstly, I just want to say how much I loved getting back into this series, and how much I loved reading this book especially (probably because with this one I get to read new story, interactions and so on).Took me from buying it to about a week ago to get round to reading it, and then 3 days for me to read the book once, but about 5 to get my enjoyment into words that would help articulate my initial thoughts.
Since I had requested 2 features in the pack mentality forum, and have now finished a playthrough of the third book, I also felt like I should address how much I enjoy the way the features were implemented (from what I experienced, so others might have different experience).

So first regarding the subculture/faction reputation now having an effect on the MC’s relationship with the faction, when high enough. Although I only remember experiencing it with Metalheads (maybe it only happens with one per playthrough, or maybe the others are less obvious to me, IDK?), I would infer that most factions are the same, in that I’d say that the one I did experience felt well implemented, and was followed up with later interactions, so I liked how it now feels like there’s a reason for the reputation stats to be there.
Second request I had made on that forum was a request to romance Inferi, and to be honest, I hadn’t expected anything like that from the third book after reading the reply, given how there were already 5 romances to keep track of (didn’t know how much one romance would be to write when requested, but 5 sounded like a lot of writing). However, toward the start of the 3rd book, there were a few jokes about wanting Inferi to be single that felt both like I was being called out, in good humour, but also like my request had been acknowledged at the same time (which I appreciated), so I had at that point thought that’s probably the closest that there will be, given how much else there must have been to write, from what the original reply had said. Having a laugh with Inferi, Augury and Jolon about the idea was already more than I had expected, and even if later on the Inferi/Aug romance had less time than others had (which it may not have), they still appeared a lot more in the main plot this time, or perhaps the plot was long enough to give that impression of all the characters? All in all, I enjoyed the banter and the threesome, and the book overall, including stuff less relevant to my request. Still love how Inferi is such a goofy doofus, although I also appreciate that she got more character development, such as hinting at a tragic backstory/upbringing, and her claustrophobia. Lastly am enjoying listening to bands and music genres I encounter in the book, since I rarely listened to metal with growls and screams which I struggled to understand as words before, so is nice to try new music.

In terms of what I could request for the next book, I’d say more of the same, as long as it fits into the story coherently and accommodates others requests and such. As a request for something new, if not for knowing how much it might add to the time taken writing, I would ask for a happy ending (or happy cliffhanger) for the romance with Inferi (and Augury) (maybe by implying long term near book end?), maybe just in cases where the overall book ending is happy (i.e. if people are not captured/killed/etc., as I could see a happy romance ending contradicting the feeling that some endings intend to evoke). As with my requests for the 3rd book, understandable if don’t implement, since you likely have even more romances to write/expand upon than the 5 for this book as is, and even more general choice branches, and given how I don’t know if you have a deadline for the next book, how patient others are, and so on, I don’t think anything I request should be prioritised. However, a second request I am considering is maybe having Haken or Nakai talk about why they decided to stay religious after all that’s happened, or maybe why they believe in the same sort of stuff the Native Americans believe in, like the Great Spirit, especially given how Haken is so opposed to humans, so is interesting to see a shared belief, even if some, most or all wolves don’t know about any human beliefs.
Sorry If I say anything anyone else already said, have yet to read others thoughts and requests.
