To get Curious Correspondence you need to talk to guard in a prison and tell him about break out or ask him about private space and he’ll tell you about secret passage. During escape choose option to leave the rebels to investigate and you should get a scene where Maker is talking with Sonoma over a comm. Choose to approach silently and watch what she’s doing.
Mine Sweeper- well i don’t have it yet, but the only minefield that comes to mind is when you go with Maker after Rivera, the same one where you get McLeod if you get blown up.
@GreekWinter Thank you for the help. So I have a save from book one where I escape with Williams from Rivera’s compound but when I load that game I still do not get the secret ending, even when I choose every pro Williams choice, like not telling anyone about him, letting go the prisoner etc. Is there a different ending I have to get from book one?
The ending’s I got were
1: Go with Sonoma.
2: Go with the elders to the paper factory
3: Go with Maker
4/1: Get captured by Rivera and not working with her
4/2: Get captured by Rivera and working with her
Am I missing anything else other than the secret ending?
If you like the game, please consider giving it a review on the Google Play store. It makes a HUGE difference to me and to sales to get as many positive reviews on there as possible. I know many of you are playing on the omnibus, and I’m thrilled at all the awesome ratings I’ve gotten there, but if Android users could take just a moment to download the standalone app and rate it, I’d be forever grateful! /e-begging
I believe you also need to be able to pass a stealth check while sneaking to watch the whole thing and trigger the achievement. Thanks again Saprook, you’re amazing at getting those tips out here so quickly!
Yeah, this is for avoiding getting blown up in the same place.
@Servant_of_choices It’s reeeaaaalllly complicated and hard to trigger (hence being secret.) There are a lot of tips in the old Haven Rising thread on this forum for it. Otherwise I’ll try to find it out, but it will take me a while to dig back into the old code. As an aside, you can also join Williams for real in book 2 if you load the game where you were imprisoned with him at the end of book 1. When you meet the HSM with him in the prologue, he’ll give you the option of joining him. If your feral score is very low (like 20 or less) you’ll be able to join him whole-heartedly as opposed to faking it.
@jcury It’s not the escape with Williams ending. The ‘Join Williams’ ending actually has you leave the war early and GTFO with Williams, confront Haken and betray him to Williams, and escape before the climax even happens. No chapter 13 or anything. You have to have a low feral score, and follow a great many steps and have some luck. Check the old Haven Rising thread, I know there were a lot of tips in there. It’s very hard to get by accident.
That’s pretty much all of them, although there are variations on the ‘go with Sonoma’ ending. If you help her kill Rivera, Sonoma will be fine and you escape in a helicopter. If Sonoma gets seriously wounded by Rivera and Rivera lives, you can escape with Sonoma’s lieutenants (led by Onyx) in a bunch of jeeps, escaping while avoiding mortar fire from leftover human troops. Both of those end in the same bracket where the HSM take over Sonoma’s safehouse.
@Servant_of_choices You can kill Rivera only if you link up with Sonoma and successfully pass stat checks for helping her fight as Rivera flees to her helicopter. You need to fight by Sonoma’s side to kill Rivera, she lives in every other instance.
how can we hijack the heli for escape as opposed to crashing it and being captured by maker , i dont wanna meet my maker if you get what i mean for book 3
I just binged like three runs across the first and second these two days, I’m super into the setting and the characters. I specially enjoy how there is a path for all types and of course while not an RO I do enjoy all the strong werewolf ladies. Razor, Inferni, Sonoma, why can’t I shower you with looove! Still, I enjoyed Bly’s scenes a lot, she is a wonderful character.
Ill have to try an extremist warrior, its going to be rough but if I have to do a few warcrimes to get with Sonoma…
During the game, Sonoma remarks multiple times on how Rivera is against her mistreating prisoners and her scientific experiments using HMS members as lab rats. We get the impression that Rivera may even be closer to humans than her own people.
However, the recording that Maker shows us has Rivera claim that her plan all along was to “cure humanity” by turning them into werewolves.
So, are her moral stances against torture and experiments on live humans simply due to her fearing political blowback even as she hates humans or did she intend to use Sonoma’s “cure” in a more “humane” manner, turning only a general here, a politician there, so that werewolves could control human society from the shadows?
Isn’t there a right answer when dealing with Interviewer Robert Sheridan with Ahote? I tried both answers in accusation number three and it both ends with him saying we are denying or that he was right and ending the interview. Is there supposed to be some skill check that I’m aware of that gives the right answer?
Much like real life, sometimes there just isn’t a right option and he probably only invited you on to his show to get you to admit to something.
Also having gotten three different endings now, it really shows you a bigger picture and just HOW much is going on. Like holeeee, the depth and how your choices take you to the different ends is great.
A lot of higher budget type choose your adventure stories tend to all just go to the same ending with no real meaning to your choices (Looking at you telltale).
If you talk with the Elder Circle, they mentioned Haken and it was established that he died afterwards, likely from the wounds he gotten with the fight with William. If you interacted with Razor she talks more about her relationship she could of had with Haken, as she let him down when Haken proposed flowers to her. And said that she should’ve been a little easy him.
Just popping in here for a sec to say that his death and even whereabouts are a topic of much speculation among the wolves. Many believe he’s dead, especially since he disappeared after such a brutal fight, but others definitely think he’s alive. Also, I’d be a little wary of trusting either Sonoma or Rivera when it comes to discussing there whereabouts of fallen warriors…
