Yes it’s still usable.

There is a few gifts that the author forgot to code it to show up in the gifts list, you still get the gift and use it, it just doesn’t show up, kinda annoying imo. Crow is one of those gift.

If you can report this to support@choiceofgames.com, they can fix it.

Another issue, to earn mouse’s gift, it says I lack “cunning”, but wits according to the in-game glossary is cunning. I have 4 out of 5 wits. What’s the issue? I’d show the page in question and my stats, but the forum uploader isn’t loading the picture’s.

And also thanks for answering my other question.

To get Madame Mouse you’ll need “The Litany Has Failed”.

Here’s a nice Guide Sheet by @Kaio_Kryvoss

Hey! I’m pretty sure it has been asked before, but after a quick look, I don’t see the answer.

Can someone explain how earning gifts and chiminage work? I am mainly confused why it has a length aspect to it. Can I just do all the Honour, Wisdom, etc ones I can without any issues and then go for the gifts I can/want?

At this point, I have recruited 2 of the lost packmates but still haven’t engaged with the gift system, cuz I honestly don’t really get it

In essence, to get a Gift, you need a certain Conviction (they act as the sort of pre-conditions to get it; think, say, 40 points of strength to unlock a special attack in some other game) and Chiminage - the ‘fuel’ you need to burn in order to get the Gift.

You can see your Convictions near the bottom of your Character Sheet. Convictions are what your character believes in, and how strongly - three dots in Humans Must Pay, for example, means your character believes very strongly that humans have ruined the Earth and must pay for it. Gifts come from spirits, and spirits, sort of like RPG companions, will only work for you if you reached those Convictions.

Now, say you have a strong enough Conviction. That means the spirit is willing to teach you its Gift, as it agrees with your worldview - BUT you also need Chiminage - the ‘fuel’. Spirits are fueled by your actions. Actions in their service make them stronger. Think Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. Over the course of the game, everything you do will generally be either Glorious (whooping ass), Honorable (keeping your word, sticking up for your fellow Garou), or Wise (learning stuff). Each Spirit cares about one of these things, and will use, say, Wise service, accrued by Wise deeds, to fuel its power, which you provide it with over a set course of nights.

This is how you get Gifts. Have Convictions that align with the Spirit you want and enough Chiminage (Honor/Glory/Wisdom) to ‘exchange for’ the Gift.

Hope this helps! (:

There’s a new build coming on Monday.

It helps, but I still need one thing clarified if you can. Than what’s the deal when you can see Chiminage possible. Glory 7 nights etc.

Is that just something you can do to get extra wisdom, honor and glory points? And is there a spot where you see how much of them you have, couldn’t find it.

Glory 7 nights would mean that you have achieved acts of Glory (for example, killing that formor in the barrows early on) ‘worth’ 7 nights of Chiminage. For example, if you were now to get a Gift that requires ‘4 nights of Glorious chiminage’, you would still have 3 nights left over.
‘Chiminage possible’ has, AFAIK, two meanings. First, it simply means that the area is available for you to talk to spirits and get gifts. Since you already have 2 of your packmates, Chiminage should be available in two of the game’s areas, while a third is still unavailable.
Second, you can also perform Chiminage, but without doing it for one particular spirit. You’re essentially just ‘refuling’ the three areas’ spiritual gas tank. This has, as far as I’m aware, no direct positive consequences, just some additional in-game dialogue.
Now, thirdly, you should be able to, uh, ‘check your Chiminage wallet’ when visiting one of the areas - the deep woods (Nin), the barrows (Melody), or the slum (Podge). When you’re on the screen that lets you check out all the Spirits and areas (“I return to…” or “I check out…”) there should be some text on the bottom that says ‘Chiminage Possible:’ and, below that, the number of nights you can spend as Chiminage, organized by Glory, Honor, and Wisdom. Thore are the ‘points’ you’re looking for - they’re organized as nights.

Thanks I got it. So its basically just like when you train your stats. Days are just the amount of how much you have at your disposal and nothing really else.

Part of me kinda was worrying that the game had some hidden timer.

Hey does anyone know what the deal is with the pistol you can get via editing the save files?
Only other weapon besides the main four that seems to appear in your inventory.

Do you get it from the new DLC or somewhere else somehow?

What’s the deal with it? It’s described as “an automatic handgun”

Also I’m guessing the bow is just for that first fight right at the start?

Also does anyone have exact information on what bonuses/negatives each outfit has? And when you get a second outfit does it overall just replace the first one and is used/referenced more?

Can’t vouch for it, but I once read that someone joined the Black Furies, went for Kali’s Gift and found a gun while performing the necessary chiminage. Maybe it’s related to that? And yeah, the bow is explicitly left behind in New York after you leave, but you can get a better bow with the Thyrsus of Anglonice.

Each outfit contributes to one conviction:
Tactical clothes (Our Weapon is Rage)
Hunter camo (I Just Want to Survive)
Preppy clothes (Humans Must Understand)
Black on black (Find Purpose Through Dignity)
Barbaric and intimidating (Humans Must Pay)
Cute dress (Find Courage Through Laughter?)
The second outfit you get replaces the first outfit in the inventory, but both of them are used/referenced equally.

Ok, there’s a new build pushed to the beta that has a ton of fixes.

If you have access to the beta, you can play it there. If you want access, drop me a line (jason AT choiceofgames)

There are a few more things that Kyle wants to implement/fix before we push to a wider audience.

Sorry for the delay!
