"Werewolf: The Apocalypse — The Book of Hungry Names"—Unleash Rage and wield spirit to heal the land and rebuild your fallen pack

This is basically why you had no issue. its a great strategy tbh - specifically leveling up the relevant skills necessary for the checks you’ll be using in the next mission so you breeze through it. Doubly so if you align your convictions with the Gifts you’ll unlock after recruiting a teammate. Even more so if you join a tribe and get the 6/4 extra stat.

I’m going to share my build.
Note: this is for a very especific way of playing.

Let’s talk skills, the most important skils in the game (without any route order) are:
Aim
Athletics
Awareness
Combat
Investigation
Leadership*
Persuasion
Subterfuge
Survival
and you can add some points on Mechanics, computer and clandestine and streetwise for certain moments in wich for some reason became important but then pretty useless.
As for atributes, you can supply physical by going Glabro, Cha, Man, Comp, Wits and Res are your friends and at least have a Int on 3, that was an error I made and I paid it greatly.

Gift depends of Tribe and Auspice, but I can share my build, as a Hart Warden Galliard, Butterfly is a must(and even more if you play Ahroun I suppose), same as Song of Valor/Song of Inspiration(but the leadership one take preference), and if you can get the Wardstone, it made certain battles irrelevant, Owl gift is also must but I never got it because roleplay reasons(never get the correct stats) and did well, so you can survive without it and Falcon and Squirrel was very fun to use, also Falcon is good to burning Rage when necessary. There’s some things that didn’t get because bugs and stuff, but didn’t matter at the end.

Also, because of the Rage, probably this isn’t going to work well with an Ahroun(you need to burn a lot of rage) or a Ragabash(not enough rage) but it should be doable because they’re the stats and skills that are most used by the game.
Also for some reason got the bug so I joined the Hart Wardens pretty late in the game(after Podge) wich was a bummer.

And also, and I freaking mean it, the most optimal build is NOT the most fun, play whatever you like and then go for optimal builds when doing the trophy hunting.
I did it because I wanted to did Nin right and well, the rest ironically came naturally as it my own style of playing in the TTRPG, so, curiously it ended looking like a lot my typical Fianna/Iron Master Galliard/Cahalith build.
That made me very happy for some reason, if I play W5 one day I would love to try this build, the micromanaging was very adictive and playing buffer is as fun as in WtF.

You can ride the tiger without killing Elton tho

That’s something that bugs me, you need certain requierment to do so - like romancing, being the same Tribe, having high affinity - or you can do it normally?
Because I couldn’t and I tried until there was no more option than killing him.

You can do it normally. I was a Silver Fang, romancing Nin, and had like 1 dot with Elton and didn’t sacrifice him. All I did was when Katherine told me, “now, shank Elton”, I went, “what? no, are you insane? Were making it through this WITH Elton, not at his expense.” Then Katherine throws a tantrum about how much harder that makes her job, and then goes do it anyway, because Shadow Lords are terrible people willing for any price to be paid to cut corners as long as it’s not them paying it, so you need to keep a tight rein on these morons.

I’m guessing you might need high Wisdom for it to work? Not sure, but that would make sense to me

I was playing with Storyteller mode on and the option didn’t have any tags.

Does anyone know how to prevent Lucinda from dying at the end of the game?

Lucinda can die? O_o

What situation is this?

So I finally finished this game. I feel incredibly accomplished about that because I was stupidly not understanding the core values and convictions of the story overall. Especially about the Litany Sustains Us lmaoooo. (I’m too sarcastic irl so I was in trouble for a bit). However more to the point, I completed this game as a theurge and romanced Nin accidentally.

The ending really made me happy. To be recognized by other werewolves? It feels good.

:joy::sob: I typed the wrong thing but I think maybe just don’t use your human allies in the final fight?

I got the Sword Made of Monkeys achievement and kept Lucinda alive, though.

At the end of your confrontation with Answering Tiger. Roscoe and Hobland (with Nomi if you romance or reveal the truth) drives in with Lucinda’s van, and they tell you that Lucinda died unfotunately.

In all of my multiple playthroughs I’ve used my human allies in the end. Lucinda dies except for one, which I don’t remember what I did differently.

This more than likely has to do with stats. Especially if in all your playthroughs, Lucinda only lived in one… I’m gonna start up a new game as a spiritual ahroun, so I’ll see if I can find the answer.

If you use your human allies at the end, sometimes - when a flag I’m not 100% sure on is triggered - they talk about how cops fired into the crowd and Lucinda is shot. I thought it was if you call her to come get all the poor dogs in the kennel but no, I tried not doing that (but I still unlocked the cages) and it still happened.

Could maybe be related to your Humanity Conviction?

Nah it’s stats, renown and depends on how you treat them when visiting their place, if you treat them like garbage well don’t blame me if their dead.

Weird, choose the same option but didn’t get that outcome, a bug perhaps? well, I get many on that playthrough, so maybe, It’s good to know that you can no matter what, another question, you can restore the Falcon no matter your auspice or Tribe? I wasn’t a Hart Warden then and I could, but I was a Galliard anyways.

I restored the Falcon as a Silver Fang philodox.

Make sure you call Lucinda to pick the dogs in the hotel.
