Are you sure? I mean, it’s only book four of seven. And M’s pretty sure they’re not in a relationship with anyone.
Great, I’m having a deja vu now with the bugged Bobby relationship number in book 2 which I reported years ago and is still not fixed to my knowledge. I had to manually change it to work as intended.
I looked at that, but I have no idea how it works either. Did anyone try the random choice and got a different outcome of it?
I get you. Joy is more laid back and nice than Dezh, but even she won’t answer so nicely to Alima. I wish there was a sarcastic option or a rude one.
The big question now is where is she going to park her demo? Dashingdon shuts down today so will it be cogdemos? Or will it be somewhere that only people on her social media can access?
…seriously? I know villages that have more people. And I’m Finnish.
1000 can be a fair sized town in parts of Australia! And where I am we still have travelling circuses.
So do we… unless they’re all gone bankrupt by now, I’m not sure.
Do you have a law for how big a population a place has to have to be able to be called a town, or can they just self-declare it?
We don’t have villages here in Australia, well at least in South Australia. Everything is a town, and it seems as if its the pub, the church, and the general store that make it a town. One place I know has two halves, with a 5 minute drive down the main road to get to the other half of the town. I found it strange when I first got here but now I’m so used to it. I suspect most other countries would call them settlements.
The village/town distinction (and for that matter the town/city distinction) is more important to some cultures than others. In America, just about everything is a town. (Like @barca1au says for Australia.) When I moved to the UK It took me a long time to get used to how pernickety Brits were about what made something a village or a town…
Makes sense. We used to have a legal distinction between towns and not-towns (we don’t have separate words for towns and cities) due to towns having different legal obligations, but it’s not the case anymore and it’s pretty much just about what everyone wants to be called in a map, which I found weird because what’s the point, but anyway, I can’t get out of that mentality.
If you are feeling generous, you can sort of think of an excuse for this loser to be a pig - mum’s with shady government agency, dad used to be a pig too, classical nepo baby. But what excuse does a 900 year old being have for acting like particularly hormonal 15 year old experiencing their first love whilst also being in deep denial? 900 years means A witnessed countless wars, including two extra ghastly ones, plague outbreaks, fires, genocides, the Inquisition, what have you - and did not develop even most basic coping mechanisms, not to mention priorities? ¯_(ツ)_/¯ MC should ask themselves if they really want such a defective specimen, especially when they’re also prone to destroy furniture in fits of rage and jealousy.
And it’s not like it’s difficult to find a reason for plausible angst. “I lived your history and humans are dicks, I don’t want to get involved with one of you”, “You’re short lived and we’re hyperemotional, I don’t want fifty years of grief after you kick the bucket”. Here, took me 5 minutes to come up with that. Instead A’s deal is…uh…what their deal is, really? I read their route just yesterday and still don’t understand why they’re like that.
Mine is over half a million, and on those extremely rare occasions there’s a suspected child abduction, police works non-stop, all medias are on high alert, there’s constant coordination between them, the police and volunteer groups, all the time until the kid has been found. Here, a kid gets violently abducted and nobody gives a toss. Then another, how many, something like 20? disappear, and nothing even then? That’s like 2% of town’s population, for fuck’s sake! Yeah I get it, it’s otome reality and not real reality, but even then it only needs very little extra effort to be less stupid? Like, you know, ditch the whole kidnapping garbage plot and instead focus on that bounty which started with big entrance and ended with a tiny fart?
There’s absolutely no way this podunk end of the world has enough money for a modern-from-the-ground-up hospital (or anything, really) with that population, when shortly before that it experienced an economic downturn by losing the river trade traffic. Like, how does anyone here make money? What do they do for a living?
Write reports about how nothing is happening, I think.
I must of missed how small this town is. Book one is a serious issue then. Talking about smaller than my ‘city’. Anything that major, isn’t ignored by anyone. Plus, everyone is questionably armed too. Besides that, murders are going to cause neighborhood watchers to grow.
Yes. I do find that superspeedie vampires have issues with zombies or non super soldier trappers difficult. Like. Yall can dodge bullets. No way yall should loose. Yall run around town (makes sense now that its only 1k so even I could) like its nothing. Really? Of course holding punches for some reason isn’t necessary.
Another issue is, does powered blood make us live longer? Otherwise, I, myself, would never date a 20 year old. Why would a 900 date a 30 yr old?
The agents aren’t some humans in the world.
Wayhaven made me question every time I use this word in my own writing.
That is a really good question that I doubt we will ever know the answer too.
If it does, then it won’t matter about dating vamps.
According to Murphy, he said about breeding. He may not be aware.
It turned us into half vampires if gonna be technical. It was his blood mixture. Drained our blood and put his in.
Uh. Wait. What?
Hmmm. What?! Uhm. Something just realized is wrong there.
Unless vampires drink blood they are just human then? Yet, run faster than cars?
We are half vamps?!
No. There’s two types of vampires in Wayhaven: there’s natural vampires (like F), who were never human to begin with, and there’s turned vampires (like the rest of the Bravos), who were but got turned and are now, well, vampires.
There’s no such thing as a “half-vampire” in Wayhaven.
Even though were human with Murphys vamp blood in us?
You are applying logic to this series, which is a mistake by default. The only thing that ever happens is what the author specifically states happens, common sense be damned.
The book says we are humans with extra benefits. Murphy just made us extra extra. I don’t even know if the process of making vampires was, or will ever be revealed.
In that world. It seems to not be drained of blood and then fed vampire blood. Basic vampire myth, everywhere outside of this series. My understanding is thats how the B team got vamped themselves.
