@Eisenstern No, but you will get to control them from behind the scenes. Opinion also seemed inclined towards politics / elections, so that will be the focus of at least one chapter (probably mid-game), with your performance in that having considerable effect thereafter (i.e. whether or not you end up with the Mayor ‘in your pocket’, for example).
@Anansi & @Roger Any info you can provide would be appreciated (background is good, and two other useful ones to know would be your initial choice in Chapter One–Mangano, Chuck or Dino–and which option you chose for the Protection racket setup, good guy or bad guy).
As a general rule for most bugs, remembering which route you took in Chapter One–Mangano, Chuck or Dino–is a useful starting point, as that early choice has a significant impact throughout Chapter Two. Thanks.
@zero647 The reason(s) for Angel leaving of her own accord (which she doesn’t always seem to be doing too successfully atm!) will be revealed in time (Chapter Three).
Carina, being a generally “nice” girl, is the hardest one to form a lasting relationship with, simply because of who you are (public image notwithstanding–she cannot deny the evidence of her own eyes). All relationships come down to Persuasion at the end of the day though, so if a chosen background is somewhat lacking in that regard, don’t expect to easily persuade a nice girl that you’re really a nice guy! That said, when the relationship-bonding scenes finally make it into the main story, Persuasion will be somewhat less important than the choices you make in that pursuit–but will still be a factor.
Yes, there are individual relationship ‘meters’ (sort of) for every major character, so none forget how you treated them, or behaved towards them, in the past. However, these mostly (but not always) tend to be used as modifiers, with a particular character Attribute being the most important factor–such as when asking someone to help you kill someone else. In such as Louis Campanini’s case, being an underling, you first and foremost have to “command his respect” (to use the actual story text given as the hint in his case).
@13ventrm A very valid point to bear in mind, methinks. Thanks.
