I managed to get Adamo as my romance option without using the bathhouse trick, but on a second play-through absolutely could not reproduce it, haha. Is my memory going, or is there some kind of randomness that factors in?

I was bringing it up to point out how dangerous it is to be using the word rape carelessly, like consensual sex with someone who clearly chose of their own volition to become a prostitute and doesn’t like being a prostitute. You go down that path and you’re giving the assholes who do it willy nilly a leg to stand on.
Well, that was certainly food for thought. I find myself falling somewhere in the middle on this one as there are, I believe, valid points on both sides of the argument.
I guess the real question is whether the subject even needs to be touched on in the game, given the very small part it actually plays in the story. I’ll certainly be giving that some thought. Thanks guys.
@Zed Not sufficiently tested to be included in the online Demo yet, nope. I’ll post here when it gets updated online.
@Epicazeroth See the final paragraph in my post two previous to this one. I want to focus on finishing the standard version of the game, so some aspects involving lots of extra writing will not now be included in this version (‘explicit’ scenes being the main one). Time permitting, there would be different versions of the game released in future, although I’m actually very keen to start work on a joint project I’ve been discussing with another developer here, so “in future” for other Vendetta versions could be a while away yet! Rest assured though, I’ll be finishing this version of the game first before tackling anything else.
@ChrisD Opinion on the subject is . . . divided, to say the least. The scene in question in the version currently online follows on from choosing Carina at the Bathhouse.

I recently played the online Demo yesterday and it had heat workin with enough notoriety.
But anyway, how soon can we play a demo that has more of Chapter 3 beyond the Maze?
Thanks for your comments guys. In general -
“Heat” is only partially implemented online at the moment (the Crime Commission’s “Public Enemy” ranking, which acts as an overall modifier where applicable). The next update–within the next week, all being well–will expand on this to include investigation and arrest warrants by different branches of law enforcement. The third & final Heat update (probably not needed for the Demo chapters, so will kick in during Chapter Three) will cover prosecution, bribery, jury tampering and sentencing. At the moment I’m also playing with the idea of very short sentences not automatically resulting in an actual game end, but there’s no firm decision on that yet.
The next new story update for playtesting, beyond the actual Demo (i.e. Chapter Three) will be around the end of the month. I have a big chunk of free time coming up in the second half of this month and intend to put it to good use.
I’m aiming to finish the whole thing (standard version, anyway) by around September.
@Epicazeroth Not quite. To be more certain of finishing the standard version within a reasonable timeframe–the most important consideration!–I’ve decided to not now include all the other planned explicit scenes in the standard version, so the only existing one (the Carina seduction routine) has been removed from this version.
It was essentially a choice between more character background-related stuff, or more character relationship-related stuff, and I think the former would serve the game better overall and have more replay appeal for a larger segment of the target audience.

I have a question, how do you get this “rape” scene? Can someone tell me word for word because I wanna see what the fuss is about.

Not really a scene, just that you demand to get everything you paid for when she seems to be nervous and fiddling around.
@Zed I already drink way, way too much coffee (truth is, I’m addicted!) but I’ll take your other suggestions under advisement. 
@Syndicate As @noogai says, there isn’t really a rape “scene” as such, just a Choice many would view as rape (Bathhouse scene, Chapter One, if you choose VIP treatment and then timid Carina to be your attendant)–the response to which is a simple acknowledgment that you made that choice: “You take what you have paid for.”
In fairness to @Havenstone, who raised some valid points on the whole subject, there was indeed another scene playtested earlier (same girl, by chance, but only if you chose a different option at the Bathhouse and got to know her much better) in which a similar choice might sometimes become available. That one “faded out” over the repugnant bit so it was more of a “before & after” scene, and one hopefully leaving the reader feeling as guiltily shitty as they should be in that situation . . . That whole sequence has however since been removed from the standard version of the game and is not currently available online.
Um… anyone feel like telling me what choices I need to make in order to get out of the maze?
