I noticed that the cover art contains the Nissan logo, the GT-R logo and and the Skyline logo. All these three are active Nissan trademarks, and using them on the cover art of a commercial game can be legally risky. The icon also shows a car with the GT-R logo and R34, referencing the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34.

I think you credited Unsplash for the pictures. Note that Unsplash clearly warns that recognizable trademarks retain their copyright even under the unsplash license. You might want to blur out the trademarks or modify your cover art to remove them.

Is that so? I didn’t notice. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I would rather to get it removed completly than to have any legal troubles.

Unfortunately we didn’t qualify for a steam release at the jump, but I will enquire again for one in the near future. :crossed_fingers:

Sorry for the inconvenience in the regard.

This is straight up fucking bullshit and if I could demand a refund I would right now. A single choice that leads to an instant game over in the middle of the story that is buried 90 minutes into the story? Are you fucking serious?

Hey there,

I understand why that was frustrating, especially after investing so much time into the playthrough.

That outcome was intentional from a story perspective. During the police raid, the white limousine belongs to a high ranking mafia associate. In that situation, an unknown person suddenly running toward the boss would be seen as a potential threat, and his bodyguards would react immediately rather than taking chances. That’s why your MC died trying to approach it.

I appreciate you sharing your feedback, though. It’s helpful to know when a consequence feels more surprising than intended, and I’ll keep that in mind as I continue improving the game and future projects.

Im loving this game but god do I wish there was save points. Having to restart the entire game because I made on mistake or got a little curious is infuriating.

You could achieve the same effect by having an enforcer rudely punch you in the face and slam the door before dropping you off in the previous menu so you can pick one of the other choices. I don’t understand how this game made it all the way through wip without anyone bringing this up? Is it because dashington comes with it’s own save file system so this minefield style non-standard game overs don’t bother people playing the demo so much?

I really want to like this game more than I do. But the fact there are so many instant death options scattered throughout so much of the game, without any checkpoints or start from the beginning of the chapter options made the whole process feel more frustrating than anything else.

I’ll fix the instant death woes in the update. Everyone is asking for a save system and rightfully so.

I was racing Brock in the last quarter of the story when I made a wrong choice, and the game ended. Imagining having to go all the way back just to reach the same point again is frustrating. A save system would be greatly appreciated.

Don’t worry mate. I won’t leave you guys hanging .

Yay I’m glad you guys are asking for a save system too, requested it too in the game’s page, playing so much and dying without options kf returning is not cool at all specially given visual novels already have an answer to that you collect the bad ending and keep playing stuff like that can be very cool to get alternative narratives and the like but at the end returning to the canon path. Amazing game by the way, great way to start July!
