I’ve been fleshing out a new game, and wow, it’s this exactly.
No details to share beyond this. My focus is still to finish Daria: A Kingdom Simulator first, but this new project is really shaping up fast and has a good chance to be Game #10.
I love the creation phase of game design. It takes a totally different energy level compared to writing/coding or editing/bug-fixing.
Depending on where I am and what’s going on, I like to have a few games on the go for that reason. (MY notes and WIP folders are enormous! I’ll never run out of ideas, just time.)
Yes, there are some really big events between Life of a Wizard and the Lost Heir trilogy. With luck, I hope finish Kingdom Sim (or at least get it to Beta) by the end of July, meaning I could start the next game’s writing in August. I’ll share then, probably.
Man, I wish I could retire from that pesky “real job.” Some day….
Will we get to play as non-humans (including trolls) like in Life of a Wizard? Meet younger Naistalan and other long-lived characters from either story? See places such as Jilal again?
On another note, I wonder what the most “canon” play throughs are for Life of a Wizard and Lost Heir. I know that the Legacy Advantage has the Wizard have an affair with a royal, and the product of said affair is crowned king after Gareth, resulting in the Lost Heir themselves down the line. However, Last Wizard had the Demon King (the Lost Heir’s epithet after the events of Demon War) as an evil figure even though most of my “Demon Kings” are only called that due to the ritual converting them into a demon (and not their actions), while remaining all-loving heroes, some of whom even spared Zusak.
No, this is for his hypothetical game set in between Life of a Wizard. (where you have a choice to play as a non-human) and the Lost Heir trilogy (where you are human, but can possibly have a drop of non-human blood depending on your ancestor). It’s confirmed in Kingdom Simulator (before Life of a Wizard) that you play as a human, I think.
Yup. But think more resource management game. Although there’s a pretty cool, high-fantasy story, it’s not a book. It’s not like any other games I’ve seen yet.
It has elements of several strategy games from the past 30 years where gathering and processing resources was done. It also has a modern feel with parts similar to crafting and even idle games.
I think it’ll be a lot of fun when it’s done, and it’s almost complete. Life got hectic. I still can’t believe it was four years since my last release, meaning my other seven games were done in the first five years.
I think about it too. When I was finishing school some friends and I made a MUD called Eye of the Storm. It got surprisingly popular.
I still worry that Heroes of Daria would be too big of a project to be done properly, but I still think about it. Who knows? It won’t be soon, but some of those games in my WIP folder crawl out unexpectedly and get finished.
All eight of my games are currently on sale on all platforms. If anyone is looking for the ultimate deal, you may want to check out the Lucid Bundle on Steam which is receiving a double discount this week.
Is this true? Cause I looked both on the Google Play Page, the CoG Page and Steam Page for the games and I did not saw reduced prices outside of Steam.
Is this maybe only a visual bug for me or are they planned to go outside of Steam on Sale with Monday while Steam already got the Sale?
They’re listed as being on sale in the omnibus app, and the individual app prices on Google Play are the same as those in the omnibus. However, the prices on Steam seem to be about a dollar lower than the prices on Google Play.
@Lucid Congratulations - eight games in ten years is super impressive, and I was glad to be able to fill in the gaps in my collection this week. Keep up the good work - your creativity is inspiring, and I will never stop recommending Paradox Factor any time it’s even remotely relevant.
ah okay thank you. With the game costing 2,89€ both on android and CoG it looked like the normal price not being reduced but normal price while Steam with 1,57€ really looked like being the only one that got reduced. I mean I get it Google Play having more cost then Steam but Steam being even cheaper then own website prices is something that surprised me. But thank you again. Now as I saw it is really reduced I will take the chance to complete the collection.
