Dezh: I’d put her with Adam. I’ve actually considered doing a playthrough that way, just to see how it would go. She’d either think it was fun tormenting him with bold flirtations or she’d get frustrated and give up when he didn’t want anything… physical.
Nyx: Mason, simply because the other two wouldn’t work with him. It would be interesting, but I’m not sure she’d put up with Mason’s shit. And she definitely wouldn’t screw him until he started treating her in a less hostile way regularly, instead of just when he wanted to get laid.
Wolfe: Either Adam or Felix, not sure which. She might work well with either of them. I think Mason might be too much for her, given her violent ex.
Jax: Nate, without a doubt. She couldn’t deal with Mason or Adam.
Same here. Though I will say that I feel like I made the perfect MC for Nate…only she is paired with Mason. And by the time I realized how perfect she would be for Nate and how much he would appreciate her, Emma and Mason were already solidified in my head as my OTP.
/sigh Mason will probably never truly appreciate all the things Emma can do, but then I’m hoping Nate will kick his butt so that he sees what a catch he has.
Val’s usual RO is Felix, but if not him I’d pair them with Nat. Which is kind of a cheat answer for the purposes of this question, as I was going to pair them with Nat originally but I already had Tanwen as my MC for that route, so I didn’t think it worth playing through it with Val cause they’d be fairly similar this early on. Until I had a lightning bolt moment and realised Felix is way more fitting for them, but yeah. Alternative RO would be Nat, and it would work out quite well I think
Tanwen’s usual RO is Nat but I also play her for the love triangle, so obligatory answer feels like Ava (though whether that relationship is going to work really depends on how much A softens throughout their route, cause right now Tanwen feels attracted to but not at ease with Ava and I do think that’s important for any of her relationships). Another answer that is definitely not one of her canon ROs in a way would be Farah. Her forward flirting would leave Tanwen pretty much spontaneously combusting and she’d be very worried that Farah was just a flirt, but when it’s revealed she’s just a big ol’ softie who falls in love easily and hard (just like Tanwen), those worries would be well assauged.
…you’re gonna make me play through the game again with these alternate LIs and i am blaming you
Jay… is a difficult one, gosh. The only reason I realised he could work with Ava is cause I was flipping through OCs in my head for A’s route and went …huh, this might work at Jay, then kept toying with the idea and found that yep, this can definitely work. He’s… an interesting one, romantically, and one I’m still getting to know. But to actually answer your question: definitely not Mason, and okay I keep pausing to think as I type this and I’m genuinely not sure about pairing him up with anyone else? And this is in part cause Jay is slow to develop feelings so I think both Nat and Felix’ relationships would just move too quickly for him? In that sense Ava is perfect cause they’re both just as fucking stubborn about feelings
Keiji’d be …weirdly, Adam? I want to pair him with Felix but as far as Felix’ canon route goes that just would not work because Keiji’d be spooked off by his Feelings™ way before he can actually start to realise his own. If I could go non-canon and make it happen more like Mason’s route, with Keiji taking Mason’s place and Felix the MC, that’d be real fun. So if we’re just talking in the context of the game, I could see this going hilariously. It’s another slow-burn, and Keiji’d start out way antagonistic but slowly the sass starts getting more friendly rather than taunting, just about having fun messing around and trying to get a reaction out of Adam than being actually sharp. And I do think feelings could grow from there, and both Adam and Keiji get to be horrified with themselves cause out of all people they fell for that one?? which is very amusing to me~
Henry (Nat) I would pair him up with (future) best friend Farah out of the others. They would do fine and probably be a nice couple (It was hard choosing N or F the first time through). Henry might struggle to keep up with F but it wouldn’t be a big issue. I don’t think Henry could pair up with M or A though, because they are hesitant about actual relationships.
Connor (Morgan) would otherwise go for N but he would have a hard time opening up to N. He would not be willing to confess his feelings (He would realise he had them pretty quickly) until N forced him to say something about it. It would take a long time before Connor was willing to commit to a proper relationship, and I don’t know how it would go from there.
Barry (F) Would probably be with Mason because A is stubborn and N is a more mature person than he could handle as of Book 1. He’s the most open with his feelings out of my main MCs, so things could get awkward with M.
Simon (Ava) Probably couldn’t be paired up with anyone else really, as my most awkward MC. If in some crazy world he was paired up with F, though, he would probably explode from the attention. With A, he can pretend that there is nothing there for a while, and doesn’t have to open up quickly, but F is too forward for him, as are N and M.
Umm, Marla could be with Adam, they are both combat oriented, but Marla is much nicer than him
Astrid, who is with Felix, could also be with Nate.
Iris, her best much, not counting Nate, would be Felix, but I have to put her with Mason, because otherwise, Irina would be with Mason, and that… that just wouldn’t work at all .
Irina is extremely professional, she would never mix work with emotions. I can see it happening with Adam (her official RO) because Adam does have emotions for her. They are both botteling it up, but eventually it will blow up on their faces. While if it was IrinaxMason, that would never happen because she would shut down all the attempts from Mason to get in bed.
Emma: If not Ava, then Nat. They already get along pretty well, and I think seeing Suavewell in action would leave her dumbstruck. Personalities would mesh well together as well, and someone less high strung would be good for her.
Cassandra: If not Nat, probably Farah. She’s rather sensitive though so I’m not sure she’d always handle Farah’s teasing and snark well.
Hayden: If not Morgan, probably Farah, though I’m also super tempted to say Ava. Farah first though…they both get along well and are masters of snark. I also see her being fairly happy to take things a little slower and more seriously for once. “Farah’s relationship material, okay?” ← Said to probably Tina when she notices her taking things more seriously then usual.
As for Ava…it would be a glorious disaster, and she’d probably drive Ava utterly insane…not in the good way, though she’d try for that as well.
Emma (M) and Zoë (F) would probably both date Nat, lol. Zoë is drawn to Farah’s cheerfulness and energy and humor, but she is also 100% down for the stability Nat offers. Emma likes the warm, friendliness that she radiates. Which is why they are going to be good friends.
Haha, that’s not a fair question for those MCs in the love triangle, as there’s only two choices left. But I will try decide between the two of them.
Henriette:*interrupts* I’ll go with Felix, at least he has a sense of humour. I don’t think I can handle Mason’s weird mood swings. (Even Adam is at least consistently broody.)
Hmm… yeah, I will pair up her up with Felix too. Most importantly, he has that whole package - good looks, well dressed*, charming manners, which she appreciates in a guy.
*I think Sera had said in an Ask that Felix is the best dressed amongst all the vampires, and something about him looking groomed at all times.
She also has mischievous streak in her - not in the pranks sort of way, but more like teasing - so Felix would be quite a good match.
And though she’s very friendly, she not so trusting, so Felix’s open personality could perhaps break down some of the walls that she has built around herself - Mason’s hot and cold personality will definitely make it hard for her to open up.
I think she also needs a relationship, not more one-night stands (her one-night stands literally means just one night and never again). And if it is just a one-night stand, she only does so with her dates, and Mason would never do dates; so she and Mason will just be impossible.
…How dare you… THIS IS EXACTLY WHY MY MC WILL BECOME A VAMPIRE, YOU HEAR ME?!.. please, leave me alone to cry in the darkest corner of my being…
No, that is how they do not say it c;
M goes out of their way not to feel and just be. Though when they do feel they either become angry or smother the feelings in flirting/sexual interaction. At least, that is how I interpreted M’s behaviour/character.
Emma would probably get with Adam if Nate wasn’t around. She’s pretty similar in personality to Nate so they’d get along… eventually. She’s too mellow for Felix and too dominant for Mason.
Alice, the opposite, would probably lean towards Nate although she’s pretty stubborn and doesn’t agree with how Nate handles a lot of situations. She’d rather just battle things out. At first glance, you’d think she’d be good with Mason but I think the two of them would be too aggressive with each other and not mesh well. Felix’s personality already kind of irks her so I don’t think that would work either. Honestly, I can’t see her lasting with anyone except Adam.
Luca is extremely easy to get along with so he could have a relationship with any of them. But he tends to lean towards the problem children so I think Farah would be best for him. Farah loves to tease and Luca is very easy and fun to tease.
That’s my take as well. The only exception that I can see is the whole protective thing. Sera had an ask recently about M shoving the MC behind them in the warehouse with Murphy and she pointed out that he was acting on instinct, but he probably wouldn’t have done that for anyone else.
So that seems to be another way their feelings come out: anger, flirtation, and protectiveness. I prefer the latter two, but the first one is fun, too.
