The Wayhaven Chronicles: Book Two (WIP)

The demo is really fun, and it took a few times to come up with any useful feedback. Here are a few typos I found that I haven’t seen mentioned yet.

Lol I wanna read what she wrote but I just can’t resist romancing anybody

If I remember correctly, it’s just a reminder that Wayhaven focuses heavily on romance and you may miss out on content (i.e. the romantic subplot) by choosing not to romance anyone).

@Hannah_Minger is correct. There is no “plea,” just a warning so that the reader is alerted.

pretty good demo so far @Seraphinite though i think there must be a bit more romantic scenes for the ros? they seem a bit distant from the 1 book, (so far i have read ava only, and she seems a bit more distant , having in mind that she was pretty close to the mc in the ending is kind of weird to see her and the mc so distant as to not mention any lingering feelings, both in the way they talk and the choices we have)

edit: ok i did read all the ros now and it seems is only in A route.

OMG How I’ve been able to miss this?!

Thanks for the feedback and the excitement, guys! I’m so happy to see people enjoying it. Knowing people are enthusiastic about getting back into Wayhaven is a big boost for me!

I’ve noted down errors and things and will be editing more, though this week will mostly focus on chapter 4 as I am seriously eager to finally get that chapter finished

@Hannah_Minger - Those errors you pulled out should have your detective’s name in them, so that is really weird! (eg. “It’s been a while, name,”) . I’ll take a look at that.

OMG! I can’t believe that my favorite vampires are back!!! I must be dreaming! I was able to replay the demo 4 times already. It’s so cute that some of them are trying to deny their nervousness and excitement, especially A. Actually I was surprised at their action when the MC was leaving the warehouse, though I won’t spoiler for those who haven’t played the demo yet. Once again I am filled with excitement and feel alive with their arrival. Thank you for resuming your work in a rather short amount of time. Hope that everything will be great and we will be able to play your second book soon. I haven’t been able to sign up for beta testing for the first book and hope that my schedule will permit me to at least try to sign up for testing on time. Enjoy your summer and once again thank you!:kissing_heart:

[EYES EMOJI INTENSIFYING]

Speculation moment. Carnival rumours? Bobby makes an appearance? Tina getting more in the know about the MC and the RO?

[Please let her tease them. Like we need more Tina being incredibly smug but supportive for her bestie]

The most terrifying part of Wayhaven.

I think you spelled “exciting” wrong lol
Think of the drama!

Don’t know if anyone caught this one yet or not, but:

Should be:

“You didn’t have to.” Felix licks his lips, as though tasting something good in the air.

Just finished my couple of PTs and I already love it :metal:

Nearly forgot how entertaining it is to watch A and stubborn MC butt heads, muhaha

Typos I caught

First chapter:

The new stranger stands before me with head bowed. When I inch a step forwards, they look at me with curiousity.

curiosity

Grey eyes meet mine, and my resolve suddenly stengthens.

strengthens

“Your tone is unneccessary, Detective.”

unnecessary

Second chapter:

Without hesistating, I move towards the doors then head inside.

hesitating

Again, “curiousity” multiple times during Rebecca talk. Unless it’s British spelling, which I don’t think it is?

making it look like the place is meant for training olympic athletes rather than just normal everyday use.

“Olympic” should be capitalized.

to what might look like a out-of-place technology store otherwise.

an out of place

Ah, sorry, ma’am. Didn’t you see you were here.

Didn’t see you were here

Third chapter:

persian-style rug

Should be capitalized

Murphy’s name does little to effect me, my attention remaining completely on Rebecca and the conversation.

affect

The gentleness of the accent constrasts so much with the sharpness

contrasts

My heart gallops in my chest, any bird song lost as its the only thing I can hear beating in my head.

Hey @Seraphinite I have a possibility nip-picky suggestion for the M route?

This part here

Maybe change “some great” to “a great”? When I try to mentally finish that sentence there’s only a few, ah, physical assets that logically work there and the gender neutral ones aren’t what I’m thinking M is referring to? But using “a great” I think would open it up more.

You can say “arms,” “legs,” “buns,” “eyes,” “pecs,” “abs,” etc. Those were off the top of my head. Where is your mind, missy?

Wherever M’s is, obviously. :stuck_out_tongue:
