Your mother is an evil and fantastic woman. I think she just an A+ in Fandom mothering. Now excuse me while I go cry a little.
I believe I have said this before: but I really like your mother very much! All the more for liking M the most of all vampires. That woman has splendid tastes.
(If only I could get my mother into Interactive Novels… but she just does not see the appeal, and she is quite a clutz regarding anything that works on electricity and is made in this century…)
This is a fantastic speculation theory. And I am going to ponder about it (whilst blinking the tears away) because I honestly do not know how my detective and M (or F, who is my second favourite, or any of the other characters from Wayhaven) would handle it.
I believe that hearing it would be a shock, naturally, but the truth would not sink in until she could do nothing more than lay in bed. At first, my detective would (unconsciously) deny the illness and do as if nothing was the matter and go about her days as usual.
But once on her deathbed… Well, I have to say, I do not like to think about it too much… Death can, after all, stand at your front door at the most unexpected moments.
There’s also the possibility that Unit Bravo goes to turn MC, but MC dies anyway due to their body not being able to handle the change while they’re dying. Now I’ve made myself sad.
Oof, angst. Your mom is cruel :’{
Imagine it with F… finally understanding death and mortality, how it feels to lose someone so important. Or N fuuuuuu- I hate seeing N sad sksksksksk. I don’t even know with A or M, but maybe they realize how much they care for the detective, only for MC to be taken away. Dammit angst
Also, am I the only one who has 8+ playthroughs (two for each route, with shy/bold and the love triangle route favoring A/N in different playthoughs)? Like, I just can’t get enough of this game. I caaaaan’t
No. I’ve got 9 different detectives right now.

I’m working on that right now. lol So far, I’ve got a Detective Keela Ó Cléirigh for the LT route for N; Detective Olivia Hughes, which I switched from an M route to a LT route for A; Detective Samantha Evans for F; Detective Kaytlyn Greene for (just) N; and now I’m going to make new detectives for M and (just) A. As of right now, the only (very) flirtatious MC I have is Samantha, but M’s first detective will probably be very upfront, too.
And N and A’s detectives are more on the shy side, but I’ll be making them very flirtatious detectives soon, too - and then shy detectives for F and M! ![]()
I have four main detectives, for a total of five saves (tryng to restrain myself, here!
)
Hanna with Nate, Andrea with Mason, and Erika with Felix.
Jade is the exception and have two saves: one romance Adam, one for the love triangle.
I have played the routes more times, owever, but didn’t save them.
Hey I don’t know if it’s been touched upon but does anyone have an OC for Wayhaven that isn’t a Detective? I’ve been toying with the idea of an OC who is the Agency equivalent of an ESL teacher. Only instead of teaching people from other countries they teach creatures from different worlds (because there is no way all these worlds have english or even the same dialect of english. Hell what if they didn’t know any language close to a real-world equivalent?).
What no this idea didn’t come from a mental image of Farah saying some outlandish idiom from her home dimension I have no idea why you’d think that Anyways there has to be a lot of people who know about the Agency but don’t work directly for them. Or ar orbiters like the Detecive is now.
I wondered that too, because if F’s from a different dimension, how did they learn English? I did get the sense that the Echo World was just that–an echo/mirror of our world–and so might have similar languages, but…
It would also be funny if the reason F only knows the one language is that they were taught English first and then were like, “nope, that’s it. No more.” Because English is a mess. (Or as my mom says, “a thug that beats up other languages in dark alleys and rolls them for spare vocabulary.”)
You might want to spoiler tag anything related to the Echo World and F’s origins, though.
I am only on my 5th playthrough (second M run) but in the end, I would have three official playthrough one for A, M and N. I am still contemplating whether to do a F run, I might do one though to see how it will go. As for the love triangle run, I will probably wait for the rest of the book to come before I tackle it but I am still not sure because I don’t like the love triangle situation much. >_<
Sooooo, um, I might be making too many saves. >///>
I’m doing one for each route. (M, N, A, And F)
There will be 8 in all for I’ll be making save for F!Unite B and M!Unite B.
Though part of me is tempted to make saves that also have to go with. Going to bar and interacting Douglas or Stay at work and deal with Bobby
And I’m tempted to do saves for Capturing Murphy and him getting away
Soo if I go with this I might have 16 saves for the first book? 0___0 and I didn’t even mention the Triangle alternates.
Is this a sign I have a problem?
No. Or we all have a problem.
Even though I mentioned what saves I have and what ones I’m working towards, I didn’t mention that I already had at least three or four other saved games that I didn’t keep track of. So I technically already have seven or eight saved games and I’m looking at at least two to four more. Maaaybe more. I’ll just have to wait and see how I feel… lol
I would recommend doing F for sure. He was my least likely candidate for a romance in the beginning when I first saw the demo, but he is my 2nd favorite romance (M being 1st naturally)—a place I had thought Adam locked in for sure until Felix swept in once I got a hold of the full game.
It’s surprisingly good, and I say surprisingly because I really tend to not fall for the obnoxious flirts in games. It’s a major turn off for me if I think the RO will go for anything with a pulse (and yes, I know the irony of me liking Mason so much, and no I don’t care lol. I didn’t expect to like him either though.).
But Felix (and Farah) are deeper than they appear, and I found that I really enjoyed the romance, despite my reservations. So I urge you to at least try to give F a try.
Thanks for the advice! I would definitely try out F’s route when I have the time. I do have time though but at the moment, I am just to lazy to do anything right now. lol
This 100%.
F really surprised me with how much depth there was to their character in regards to what I respected. There was much, much more emotion than I went in expecting.
Precisely! F is precious.
Also another few words I want to add to Farah and Felix character (to encourage anyone who has not yet romanced them), though I am going to blur the words, just to be sure:
They are incredibly sweet besides all the humour, but above all, they are extremely honest and do not beat around the bush, as in: not at all. In my opinion they are even more honest than M. Which is a very important personality trait, in my opinion anyway.
True, they are horribly cute flirts, but once you make your intentions clear (and even before that) they are surprisingly attentive, with their humour always evident throughout it all. It is charming really.
@Mewsly, I am surprised by your absence in this conversation, do you not have some F-gushing to do? c;
Haha, for all we know she’s writing another essay-long reply entitled, “Why you have to romance F at least once, but really, do it six times and here’s why:”
Sometimes I feel like I was the only one who didn’t expect Farah to be shallow… Then I remember @Mewsly is here! But I really appreciated her levity. I love Nat, but she is very intense. I always knew there was more to Farah than what we initially saw (then again, I also love Courfeyrac, Mercutio and Zevran Aranai, so maybe I just have a type, lol.)
