Can’t you type your email? Because that’s how you save, you type the name of your saved game, your email address and that’s it.

Mine did that to me before, try exiting the game, then opening it again. (Worked on my phone anyhow.)

This happens to me any time I try to save any COG game. Just turn off your device and turn it back on again.

Well even though I did a replay of Mason’s route last night, I suppose I can play it again today. Since it’s his birthday it’s the least I could do. It’s not like I was already planning to replay it.

@Meira_Litch Normally yes, I just type my email in, but there was nowhere to do that. lol But luckily those mentioned above gave me some good advice! :slightly_smiling_face:

My mom ordered me to forward her angsty headcanons to you all.

“The detective is diagnosed with some terrible disease, right, and they’re struck down young. For maximum angst, it should happen when they and their RO are an established couple but haven’t had many years together. As they’re on their deathbed, their dad shows up after years and years of absence to say goodbye. And the RO is left behind with a grieving Rebecca and newly-returned absentee father. AND the detective tells RO they want them to live and long and happy life without them, but they know they can never be happy again because who could love…a vampire?”

She was practically rubbing her hands together at this point. She actually chuckled, then tossed her head back for a good cackle.

((She also said to congratulate @Seraphinite on a well-done story and say that she bought two copies she liked it so much.))

EDIT: She says she hopes you all shed tears at the thought of their eternal suffering. “Because it is eternal. Because they don’t die. And that’s the best kind of suffering. …There is perhaps a reason M is my favorite.”

how dare you do this to me?

You could have just told her you shared the angst. You didn’t have to do this to us. But you did. That’s cold…really really cold.

Just kidding. Thats a really good, and really sad headcanon. I pray to God it never happens though. My poor F…:sob::cry::sob:

Your mom is awesome!

I am both amazed and terrified of your mom.

Which leads me to something else.

Our MC is terminally ill, they could be saved if they turned into a vampire, but they refuse. Reactions of the RO’s? @Seraphinite and everyone else.

Am I the only one that can imagine M turning our MC in a moment of panic and massive denial?

If we apply the MC’s life versus saving the world scenario:

  • A and M will turn MC into a vampire, no question.
  • N will respect MC’s decision.
  • F will be indecisive.

You think? Like, Im sure N would, I think M wouldn’t, but not sure about A. My doubt comes from the fact that in this scenario, MC is specifically asking to not be turned, so I don’t know, I think A might accept their decision?

I seem to think that my MC will also ask A to save the life of the majority so I found it synonymous to the situation at hand.

idk about A.
I could see A just not doing it out of denial and then mourning for the rest of their life trying to convince themselves they don’t care.
That said, if the detective asked first, I think A would, yeah.

I also think F would without much thought. They seemed pretty head over heels in the first book, but I could be wrong

To be fair though, it did cross my mind that A might respect MC’s decision as well. This would be a good indicator of character growth for them. XD

Why would you want this?!?! Sigh okay here goes.

A: I’d assume A would try to make us see how illogical that decision is. Say stuff like, “If you have a chance to survive why wouldn’t you take it you idiot?” Then it would evolve into them being panicked and begging us to let them change us. They can’t lose us.

N: Lots of crying and making sure we are feeling as good as we can. They would do their best to make us proud of them and try their best to honor both our memory and choices. They would stay with us until the doctors/Unit Bravo forced them out of the room. Even after we’re gone they would do their best to never be too far away from us. In both body and mind.

F: They would probably be like “You’re joking right? Who wouldn’t want to be an awesome sexy vampire?” while laughing nervously with a strained smile. When they saw we weren’t they would go into panic mode. They would try everything to convince us to stay with them. If that still didn’t work they would just cry and stay by our side until the very end. They would never forget the person who loved them for who they truly were inside.

M: M would probably say something like, “Don’t be a moron MC, why do you have to be so damn difficult.” After realizing that we aren’t changing they would get more worried and a bit more forceful. Saying things like, “You have to change, I can’t lose you!” After we pass away I can see them being more withdrawn. Perhaps a bit less likely to get down with every attractive person they see. And perhaps they will find some solace in knowing that someone truly loved them. Even if they were a dumb human.

Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go cry in the corner for a few minutes then watch corgi videos to make me feel better.:sob:

I think M and F might need some convincing because I think of the four, those are the two who are least able to handle even talking about the detective dying one day. As in, Sera said they’d deny it. F, in particular, might need some convincing, since being a vampire is all they’ve ever known–they might not understand the concept of accepting your own mortality. Heck, after Book 1, I’m not completely convinced they understand the concept of mortality and death and grief fully (see: their levity at both Garret’s death and the previous unit in Wayhaven and their reaction to Kate’s sobbing).

So F would be confused, maybe, and M would be angry because you can’t just punch death in the face. A and N would just be sad, and A would try to keep a stiff upper lip about it. And likely fail. But I don’t think any of them would force the detective to be a vampire against their will. A, N and M all understand it’s not an easy thing to be, and F cares enough about the detective to respect that decision, even if they don’t agree with it.

Try looking up videos of corgis being…corgis. Those always make me laugh. Imagine how happy N would be to walk into a room with a bunch of hyperactive puppies. Or F if you dress up said puppies in little vampire outfits and started calling it Adam/Ava.:joy:
