You know, if you are short on ideas my MC is always open to get fanarts of her :eyes:

Just saying, you know, for artistic reasons

My mini fic is going to become a meme? :joy:

I know is totally off topic, so I will take it away if you want, but oh god, I love her, I am literally crying right now, I’m short of breath :joy:

Where’s the game code located? o3o I am le interested in this.

You can find the code here:
https://www.choiceofgames.com/user-contributed/wayhaven-chronicles-1/scenes/startup.txt

To move between chapters, just replace “startup” with “chaptertwo,” “chapterthree,” etc.

EDIT: The link works now.

Slight typo, it should be .txt

Also, you have to have it registered to your COG forum account. If you bought it on Steam I think you can import that. If you bought it on some other store, you will need to send a snapshot of your receipt to COG and they can manually add it to your account.

You know there’s one thing that’s kinda bugged me and I don’t know if it’s been brought up.

This Part

After Murphy tastes a drop of blood at the hospital.

What does it mean by “untainted” and how does that prove that another vampire isn’t feeding from the MC? Does a vampire feeding from a human taint their blood somehow? Or does Murphy think that another vampire is using the MC like he planned to, mixing their blood with vampire blood and feeding off them for power? Am I reading too much into this?

Choooo choooo, let’s add this to the train of “if a vampire feeds from you, you get marked as his/hers”. Which well, that will add to the angst, since Murphy does feed from us. Will that make our MC feel tanited?

Oh GOD I hope not!!

Both of my MCs got bit by Murphy in different playthroughs! I do not want them to be his :weary:

I know, right? But think in all the angst that can come from there. This gives me ideas for angsty fanfics.

You’re right… all that good angst and drama…

Our poor RO who will always be able to tell that some other vampire claimed their lover. A constant reminder of their failure to protect them…

Doesn’t Murphy feed from his thralls? In the prologue, he bites the real Murphy, who later shows up as a thrall. I assume if a vampire feeds from someone and (assuming the vampire is a “natural” one) they become a thrall, there has to be some exchange of…something that leaves a lingering scent. Also, in the real world pheromones are exchanged through skin-to-skin contact (hence “having chemistry”), so that would leave a scent as well, if a vampire were feeding from them.

maybe it’s something in the saliva. And if you fight him off he doesn’t get to bite you. However considering how much shit Murphy’s done on us, being “tainted” is the least of concerns imo

You could avoid that. XD Though for RP purpose, you want them bitten.

I think that will depend heavily on the MC. I can easily see some MCs feeling rapped after Murphy biting them. The fact that someone takes something from you against your will is heavily traumatic, so yeah, I think feeling tainted would be a common reaction, tbh. I know one of my MCs is going to feel like that, if we have the option in future books.

Oh I know, but in my first two playthroughs I messed up… and I think it’s more dramatic if he does…

@Hannah_Minger Oh, hm, true. That does make a lot of sense…

Oh, and something else - I remember when browsing code, the scene when he either bites your neck/arm is labeled as “bad end 1/2” iirc. So yeah, this tainted thing could lead to consequences in next books, if it turns out to be not just a purely “cosmetical” choice.

Whoa whoa whoa, it’s possible to not get bitten by Murphy?

I don’t see that anywhere in the code!

Yes! I believe if you pass the two checks leading up to when he tries to bite you you can get away. He still gets some of your blood either way, tho.

If you dodge or attack successfuly, then he will have some blood in his hand, but that is from the wounds of the transfusion, not from a bite
