I’m actually not sure 
I believe in the games the MC will date N while having feelings for A and then you’ll get scenes with the two of them. There’s only one small hint to it in this book before you lock in the Love Triangle option.

So I’m replaying F’s route for the bazillionth time and I’ve reached the part where N thinks commenting on your family relations is a good idea. I got curious as to how everyone feels about that. Personally my MC feels N can go choke on a dirty boot for trying to stick their sensitive nose where it doesn’t belong, BUT my MC is very closed off and wasn’t UB’s biggest fan before she found out about the whole supernatural thing sooo…
I think its sweet that N cared about Rebecca so much but… Timing, N Darling… You don’t really want to go up to someone who has just had their whole world shook and be like “I know we’ve been lying to you for the last week or so but, hey, don’t be mad at your mom that you might have a bad relationship with!”
For my MCs it depends. One of them was really hurt by the lying thing so while he wasn’t mean to N about it, thats just not really how he works, I don’t think he really appreciated it either. For my other MC… When I did N’s route with her she was a bit more willing to listen since she had a bond with N but any other time she just kind of ignored him because, while she took the whole vampires thing pretty well, she never had a good relationship with her mother to start and this didn’t help
this about sums it up. Tanwen was very sweet to N but she’s very sweet to everyone always because she’s bad at showing any kind of negative emotion and/or being mean to people. Keiji went off, pretty comparable to how he just snapped at Rebecca. He has a bad relationship with her and he didn’t take UB’s betrayal of trust well, and he didn’t take the whole supernaturals thing particularly well, so N’s comment was just very very ill-timed. (not that keiji would have appreciated N poking in that particular gaping wound of his trust issues at any time, but if he’d been less strung out he might’ve just given some sass instead of actually showing his anger)
Jay… Jay sighed, shook his head, and walked away. if there were a “not the time” option I would’ve gone with that. he’s been through a lot just now, he needs time to process, he realises N means well but just… no. not right now.
So I am starting my N route (I hope I don’t get distracted with other stuff) and I have come to realize that the real Murphy must not have mutation in their blood since he was affected by the vampire powers. I thought he has mutated blood. XD
Omg you come up with the best scenarios! The MC borrowing A’s favourite shirt will probably be another why A loves that shirt :’) And can you imagine if the MC was wearing a sweatshirt they stole from Bobby from when they were still together in the scene where you meet him outside of your apartment to talk about the thrall attack???
I imagine M being very much not okay with sharing clothes with anyone, much less someone they slept with (too intimate), but when UB eventually sees MC strolling into office wearing a very familiar long-sleeved shirt (or even M’s bulky biker jacket dear lord), M would glare a bit and take a big drag of their cigarette - but wouldn’t actually tell the Detective to stop wearing em. (Except maybe in a suggestive context.)
Meanwhile, the rest of UB has no idea what’s going on and is almost frightened to find out what has gotten into M. (Okay, except for F, probably. They just won’t stop grinning and wiggling their eyebrows.)
My detective is a little clothes gremlin, they’d without a doubt steal M, N and As shirts/jackets at every opportunity.

Engagement rings weren’t in vogue until the 1920s, so probably not. But you can enjoy imagining him asking UB for advice that may or may not be helpful.
