This happens when I click back to main menu from the Lineages page on the stats screen (I’m using firefox). It freezes afterwards.
I’ve done well-rounded one, see screen above, and managed fine: but I did use manipulation to anger him, then Induction to further mess with his emotions, then used his shiper rifle while he was distracted, and only then waited for an attack, evaded and countered. Maybe try this?
Just means your such a good liar that you always are honest but make everyone think you lie and thus never believe you unless you want them to.
@Gapaot
Fixed! Unfortunately, vampires can no longer be 102% deceitful. (Or so I hope)
And you followed a clever pathway, considering your character was basically a “full Manipulation” one (these Perception and Physique values wouldn’t pass a Medium check, for example). We try to reproduce this situation as much as we can - to prompt the player to seek “less obvious” tracks. If you try to go 1 x 1 on Oswald with a feeble character, chances are you won’t survive the night.
Thank you for those options to manipulate and use Art during the fight to change odds to our favor in case we have manipulative, but weak Regent. It feels great to be able to get around fights if need be, but still feels like we’re properly weak fighter. Using Oswald’s misguided sense of fair fight to trick him and then shoot with his own rifle? Priceless.
Love the game, just had to ask will the mayor be a romance option? I mean it seem it would make things enjoyable for you and other vampires under you… But she not only one I think the Outlaws leader might be other choice with twisted side
@Gapaot
That’s definitely good to read - it was one of the intentions of this scene. We’ll try to keep it up with the next “boss fights”
@CrimsonGoddess
Well, what I can say for now is that there will be more parallel scenes/side quests featuring Mayor Christie and Aurore. They can end up being loyal allies or declared enemies - it only depends on your choices.
@Noah
Don’t know where this typo came from… it was a “copy-paste” error, most likely. I’ll look it up and fix it. Thank you!
And yes, it was on purpose - a list of the mentioned places. Perhaps changing it to a “vertical list” could be more effective.
I actually meant the multiple mention of nyc
I must say this has really caught my attention
and Mordhaven is 3 times mentioned
Yeah, this was really on purpose Imagine a list of corporations:
Corp 1 (Mordhaven) …
Corp 2 (Cleveland) …
Corp 3 (Pittsburgh) …
Corp 5 (Mordhaven) …
Corp 7 (Mordhaven)
I will revise this paragraph not to cause any further misunderstandings. Perhaps even name the corporations. Thank you guys
Good stuff, this. Looking forward to future iterations.
Quick nitpicks:
When I chose Joshua Mitchell as my Puppet, the end scene referred to him as ‘your puppet, 1.’
When playing poker as a strength-focused Aznuit and going all in, the game gives me both the ‘win’ and ‘lose’ messages, in that order.
When I Enfever Oswald, he loses his ‘conscience.’
When I fight the Southern fencing master, I get the option to ask if he is from ‘Abalama.’
Thanks for reporting! I will upload a minor update today with typos and code fixes - including these thingies you mentioned
EDIT: update on
If we die, can you add the option to start from a checkpoint instead of starting the WHOLE thing over?
Do the decisions of random events shape the story in any way (ie the way the cloud views you)?
Also, this:
