My last time reading this was in March and I must say I am very impress with the progress you’ve made. The foundation of the game and the setting seems so much more stable and coherent now. And the plot feels so immersive it really draws you in.
I love the setting and love interacting with the characters they feel pretty unique and well thought out.
Also I must say that the combat system you’ve made is very unique and I love how interactive it is. I can’t imagine how hard something like that was to code. The only thing I would recommend as of right now is including is maybe a disclaimer to go check the glossary section to read what each stat does before we have to distribute our stat points for the first time.
EDIT: Actually a note about the combat system, so I just tested it by leaving myself up to 10 and it seems like right now as your spell level increases so does the mana cost. However it seems like this makes the spell less useful at least for me it does. Mainly because I could I can’t use the spell as often as I could before. Which made me have to focus more on my physical abilities even though I had been building up my magical abilities.
The spell Fireball for example was more useful to me at level 2 than it was at level 3. At level 2 I could one shot most enemies and I could cast it about 5 times before needing a mana potion but when it leveled up it cost 6 mana and I could only use it 3 times now.
In comparison to your physical attacks they also become more powerful as you increase your strength stat however there is no increase in stamina cost to use a physical attack at higher levels. Which makes strength far superior.
I think maybe keep the initial mana cost the same for a spell as it levels up or maybe make spells cost less mana as your intelligence stat increases.
