Plausibly Deniable Witchcraft: Unnatural events disguised as natural events leading to the framing of a targeted scapegoat. The Witch by Robert Eggers comes to mind.
Dreamlike Fantasy: The obvious, and sometimes theatrical, projection of a magician’s subjectivity into their perceptual cosmos. Almost every type of magic comes to mind; a curious one may be the one used to manifest the WandaVision sitcom.
Otherworldly and Cosmic: The channeling and enabling of things beyond the magician’s and others’ awareness. Generally self-dissociating to connect with something else. From something primordial, sacred, or ancestral to a lovecraftian existential crisis inducing worship.
Maybe these three work as descriptors of what we associate with magic?
Question, can the MC summon monsters and sign a contract with them? And then they become a chibi version of themselves that stays with the MC all the time?
I dunno, i would like to start with hands+magic then have the options to fight or just bluff with the unique weapons we find, withouth hanging too much on the stats for a bit of flavor outside combat, u know?
Holy sh… let us have the choice to become a paladin for the god/ess of magic? It would be so cool to have the side character be perceived by the gods xD
“A Dark Song” by Liam Gavin feels like “Plausibly Deniable Witchcraft” at first to “Otherworldly and Cosmic” as it progressess.
More into it, “The Dreams in the Witch House” by Lovecraft, and “1408” if considered as the result of “magic”, may lead one into a humbling experience about reality.
Any piece of media where the usage of magic is in deep relation with a more sacred, primordial, esotetic, real, or “meta” entity, deity, or thing as a source of magic will do.
Jokes on you, this makes complete and utterly perfect sense to me!
Regarding the beta, I can see a lot of people wanting it simply because it means content sooner. While I support that, I think you’d be better served going your own rate. If you’ve been slower, then be slower. It’s fine. It’s rare that an author can actually dedicate a substantial amount of time to the story, let alone do it full time. Even authors making over $1,000 USD on Patreon have to fill in the holes.
Don’t worry about it. Truly. With the small amount of current content and the time for the update, you may see some detracting comments and claims of a fake WIP. Ignore them. In fact, report them and move on. Don’t even entertain the idea.
To make the best possible IF, you need to go your own pace and try to avoid that anxious feeling of people waiting. We’re here and we probably won’t be going anywhere for a while.
hi can there i have a suggestion what about a music magic focesed on singing songs and to use your voice to for example turn everyone in to love sick fans that do what you want i know its weird but since this is anime
