Hi! I’ve been lurking the forums for a while and I finally got a problem with my account fixed. I really like this W.I.P, but I do have some questions. :]

If the author has already answered these, you can just ignore this… Otherwise, what kind of magic will be we able to specialize in? Will there be an element system like miHoYo often uses?

I’m assuming since the game is called “The Ultimate Magic Student” we might be able to eventually build a well-rounded character that’s proficient in many types of magic, but what are the starting types? And how many of them will there be?

I liked the RO but since you mentioned persona i really wanted a tomboy character like chie from persona 4.

The author stated there will be many different persona MC can take, from hateful villain, secondary MC, supporter, possessive lover (yandere), bold tomboy to general goody two shoes.

Yes Author say they will have many different approach to this, one way MC can go like NTR master as a dude another is obsessive girl aka Yandere.

MC can be the story MC trusted companion or supporting character or just make their life miserable by stealing all their glory.

Can be Villain or be hero or make own story as Story MC progress in their story.

Player MC can get as strong or even stronger than original Hero party.

So @ZCometa can we choose the mc background/having family and siblings or MC is that much of side character to the point they’re just a background appearance and by the way how much of a side character the mc is like it’s MC is it supporting side character or a background side character

Hey everyone!

It seems like it’s been about a month since the predicted release date for the update, hasn’t it?

Well, as I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been writing very little each day, but little progress is still progress! Currently, I have 36k words total (excluding code), with around 5k being the glossary and 5k being words you already have seem in the demo. That leaves around 26k words of new story content. (and growing of course)

I remember saying a month ago that I was close to finishing, and I really was, and still am. However, given the free time I had to write back then, my progress was much quicker. :frowning:

Anyway, I’m glad to see that you all remain active here despite my long absence! I’ll answer some of your questions, but first, I must admit that I’m also starting to get a bit anxious about the delay :sneezing_face:, so I’d like to propose something to you.

To do so, however, I need to give you a small spoiler about what’s going to happen in the next update: As you know, the focus of the update is for you to meet the main characters, so the end of the event/chapter involves you enjoying the festival with one of the characters. The part that still needs completion is precisely this section where you spend time with one (or two) of them at the end!

I believe it would be best for your experience if you played the complete update all at once. But knowing that progress is really slow right now + that I still need to revise everything for errors and rewrite parts before I can release it, I was wondering if some of you would like to participate in beta testing?

I have zero experience in beta testing :clown_face:, so perhaps I could just create a separate demo with what I have available now (with errors, bugs, unfinished paths, etc.) so you can start helping me with corrections + opinions on how things are going.

What do you think?

(By the way, I’ve been informed that the the conversion from the metric system to the imperial system of the characters’ heights might be off! I’m terrible with US metrics, so I apologize lol. I’ll correct that as soon as possible.)


I also like the idea of working as a team with other characters and the mc being like a tank while the rest focus on attacking. It sounds really cool!


The magic system is something I have put a lot of effort into creating to make it interesting for you all! But no spoilers for now, okay?

I’m not planning to reveal how the system works yet and I don’t want to keep giving small details until you piece it all together like a puzzle! xD

The focus after the update I’m currently writing will be on battle and the magic system, so I want to save all the detailed answers for when we get there!

I can say that I drew inspiration heavily from the Nen in Hunter x Hunter and the Chakra in Naruto, but in a way that suits magic in the style of Harry Potter spells! (Yes, I described it in a confusing way on purpose so you wouldn’t understand it just yet hahaha.)

Even though it’s not a concrete answer, for now I can tell you that the magic system does not revolve around elements like in Pokémon or Genshin Impact. Yes, there are unique categories for each person in that style, but they are not based on elements.

But you can be overpower, yeah.

I won’t reveal what the “types” are just yet, but there are 8!

Based on what I’ve revealed so far in the whole thread, you might be able to guess what they are or something closer. :thinking:

Also yes, they will react if you are too powerful.

Although the magic system is not focused on elements, there will be elemental magic.

Everything will be balanced around mana.

Sorry, but I don’t plan to include any clichés or plots from hentais! Although I do plan to write hot/nsfw scenes, hentai themes or heavy scenes at all are not in the plan. (By the way, I’m not considering you stealing someone’s girlfriend/boyfriend as a hentai cliche and it will be in the game, as I already said.)

Actually, I myself am quite surprised that people are so eager to go hand-to-hand! I thought the sword + magic style would be the most popular choice, but maybe that’s just because it would be my own choice in the game. :stuck_out_tongue:

A tomboy character exists on paper, but she is not an RO for now because, as I explained waaaaay up in the thread (many messages in the thread already, too much work to scroll back and mark it xD), I want to focus only on these ROs for now, and if there’s room, I’ll add more.

I think that what you should do is put the next update in when it’s ready for us. It’s better to get everything ready to a rough-draft standard and then let us start tearing into it. There will be bugs and errors either way, of course - that’s why you’re showing it to our hungry, critical faces.

My Predictions!

Already confirmed ones:

Body Strengthening Magic - Self-explanatory, increasing your speed or the strength behind your punches are two examples.

Elemental Magic - Self-explanatory, use the power of nature to win against your opponents.

My personal predictions:

Space Type Magic - Teleportation, item storage/inventory (pocket dimensions), portals (?). Reason; Most animes have some kind of system that explains the MC’s ability to carry a bunch of stuff effortlessly without having to worry about real-life complications. Also, teleportation would just be a cool power.

Object Enhancement Magic - Enhance your sword to give them effects that make them able to cut through steel like butter, and or shields to grant them higher durability (this can apply to other objects, like spears and such). Reason; Since the sword and magic combo is an option, I thought that it would be kinda natural to have this option.

Energy/Light Magic - Use bursts of energy and or light to stun and fry your opponents to a crisp. The more proficient you get, the bigger your splendorous rays of pure light get, and the more damage they cause on the battle in turn. Reason;

Healing Magic - Heal the wounds, injuries, and aches of your allies and possibly gain their trust in turn. But be careful because sometimes, being a healer is thankless work… Reason; Classic power + allows for more good MC moments or, “I choose who lives and who dies.” moments.

Aura Projection - Transform your passive aura into a deadly weapon, or an intimidating deterrent. Shape your aura in various ways, including as a shield around your body for defense, and a spike-ball/spike-disc to unleash upon your opponents (although leaving you open).

You can also transform your aura to make it seem more appealing and inviting to others, or make yourself seem like the most menacing thing to ever exist. Reason; Shaping an aura that you can grow more with more power and experience sounds like an interesting concept, especially if it can be used effectively in combat and non-combat situations. Also;

I don’t know much about these systems, but I do know that Hunter x Hunter uses auras somewhat. :]

Out of all the Ro’s who is the strongest despite the MC? And is there a ranking system that will help determine a mage’s strength (F; D; etc)?
