The Thousand Of Us (WIP)(Updated 11/25/24)

About being used as a god mode, I really have to disagree with you. After all, I can imagine that many who wants to play a god mode wouldn’t want to pay a price like that. The point of that mode is a power fantasy, and I really can’t imagine being all-powerful if the price to pay is literally our life or having their power depend on a contract that, in the end, you’ll end up losing more than you gain.

Because if I play a god mode, it’s because I want to feel like a god, not a puppet of someone else

Gaddem…maybe i wasn’t that clear in my explanation earlier…what i meant when i suggested that power was that the MC is the entity people make deals with…not some other background character…In even simpler terms…the MC is the one who offers the deals without being anyone’s pawn…the ones paying the heavy prices are those the deal is made with and not the MC…I hope that clears it up.

Forgive me if I sounded abrupt in my message, you have the right to express your impression like all of us who follow this thread and I’m glad you have that kind of consideration too.

Hey, that sounds very interesting. After all, the basic reasoning of a deity mode would not only be the ability to create and destroy, is also to be able to grant and take away in that range of abilities that MC can acquire (that is, everything basic that moves the natural and human world). , immortality and also inhabiting and transporting oneself to other spectrums of our existing reality or even outside of it, such as death, dreams, mind, etc.

It’s a pleasure to be of help, but I don’t think I was the only one to have contributed to your WIP project.

All of us who were part of this thread were a pillar (Like a brick.) in helping you forge that humble but interesting initiative of yours. And today we will have the opportunity for everyone to find out what has lived in your mind these last few months.

Congratulations on this update, I hope you have a good weekend to rest.

I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I wish we could beat our enemies without our powers, but just using our “human” abilities, because defeating an omnipotent god using strong, awesome, cool powers is good, but defeating him with just his fists and intelligence is much more satisfying.

like Batman Vs Superman but this is kinda impossible in this game ngl

I know this and I’m a fan of this type of hero (but Garou you’re talking about not facing beings stronger than disappointment, think what Saitama would say if he found out about that) :grinning:

My favourite character in all of fiction has always been Batman, and one of my close top 10 happens to be Ironman. This is mainly because I’m in love with the scene of an ordinary human bringing down gods.

The problem however with putting that here is that it’ll be suicide seeing as the MC is barely and adult who just graduated from high school and they are in a world where you’d be lucky to even find the slightest bit of tech left in tact after the 2 years hibernation period.

I was initially actually thinking of putting an option to wake up as the only one on the planet without a mutation, but if I had done that, I’d just be giving myself a headache on trying to keep the MC from dying in nearly every confrontation. Just think of MC with no powers surviving their confrontation with Michael.

So basically I had two alternatives I’ve put in the game for this: Enhanced Intellect and Enhanced Senses
Both make you feel human, while still taking down gods.

It’s like embodying a Greek demigod, right?

Good to hear that. Enhanced Intellect is my favourite and I’ve been continually afraid it would be taken away if you needed to reduce variables, as no one ever seems to mention it and I don’t think it gets played by very many of us.

Well, yeah, kind of, mainly in the case of Enhanced Senses.

Honestly Enhanced Intellect is easily in my top 5 powers to both play and write, it marvels me how underrated the power is on all the polls, and people don’t really talk about it as much as other powers.

Also I don’t think I’d ever remove any among the original twelve powers in the game, but in an unlikely situation where I’m forced to remove a power I think it’ll mostly have to fall on Enhanced Senses, seeing as people don’t seem to play with this power that much. Like enhanced Senses is literally 0% on the power poll till now, out of over 400 casted votes, not one vote was given to it.

I’ve played it a couple of times, but it’s just too easy to see how it could become completely debilitating. If a power set is more likely to become a consistent detriment rather than an asset, I think you lose a lot of potential players right off to any of the others. Given the flesh eating storms and rotting remnants of civilisation, it just seems that Enhanced Senses should be considered an handicap more than a proper power.

I think that opinion can change if you give us a chance to see the potential of that power. Since I believe until now it has not had the adequate opportunity to explore its scope and potential as you have done so far with the beginning of chapter 2 in the powers of Divine Arsenal and pocket dimension. A close look at that power as an MC can make the difference between us viewers because I share your same opinion that that ability is highly underestimated.

Also, if we talk about surveys, I think I am at least one of the people who likes all the powers, but the survey only allowed us to point out three of these powers.

Are you saying that the ideal way to have a power like that would be that the MC must have willpower to withstand the possible overwhelm of such sensitive senses?

Would that be possible, though? You have Enhanced Senses and you accidentally stumble into/the ground gives out beneath you into a pit of corpses. Does anyone have enough willpower to turn off their nose? How do you get out if you turn down your eyes? How do you manage to feel your way out if you also turn off your tactile senses?

Would it be interesting to see how existing highly sensitive people deal with it?

I gotta say one thing. I am picking the weapons choice because a lot of these weapons Because of one certain character I deeply loved use a spear Cu Means dog He got his nickname because he killed the blacksmith. Dog And swore a blood oath to him until he got a new pet and that dog Main job was to pretty much kill. Anyone who tried to steal from him and feast on its bones. And hearing about his spear. I immediately got giddy.

In truth though, the first time I started writing about enhanced senses I did so to intentionally make a kind of handicap when compared to other powers.

Though don’t be mistaken, Enhanced Senses might be weak at the start, but if you develop your MC with the right build in stats you’d be surprised the feats you could accomplish with this power.

Still, If you MC doesn’t have the right build in stats while on the Enhanced Senses route then it might as well turn into a serious handicap for your MC.

Also note that Enhanced senses MC would feel times 10 of the pain normal MCs feel when they’re actively using their power, because it also enhances MCs sense of feeling. So try not to get hurt so often on this route.

Just finished the demo earlier today and now i have a few questions…1. How can an Enhanced Senses user tell what a person’s core stability level is?..2.Where was Ari keeping the MC’s body during their hibernation?..3.Any estimate for the God Mode release?..In case of spoilers, even a hint would be enough and before y’all bare your teeth at me for the last question…my apologies if we’re not allowed to ask such.

This is for high leveled users, they can use their sixth sense fully developed only by enhanced senses users to sense the cores of people close by and they can deduce through the level of chaotic energy in ones core, the level of the person.

Peyton is one of the only people known to be able to do it so far.

Well this is kind of a spoiler so I’d refrain from answering for now.

Give or take I estimate at least a little glimpse of it coming out before the year ends.
