@Amanda @wanamingo Yes, I’ve only written up to Chapter Two, I am still writing Chapter 3! Sorry for the mix-up, as soon as it’s ready I’ll let everyone know!
@Emmelienxd I’ve fixed the bug and updated the demo! Thanks again!

I like to now how or what are oc say or say not killed
@Takashi_Shin I’m so sorry, but I’m not sure what you’re asking? No one is going to get killed in this book, not the main character or the companions. Is that what you are asking? Please, let me know if that wasn’t the question.
The crime that oc framed for. how was dick face ass hate die
@Takashi_Shin Oooooh, that! Hehehe! It is a guy from your village, but the how he died changes depending on which village you chose! I can’t say much more, because you’ll get to find out in the book! You’ll even get hints in Chapter 3!
I smell dragonage OvO
@Sel_Lee Oh my God, Dragon Age is indeed an inspiration, but I didn’t think that it would be so obvious to everyone! Frankly, it’s so very flattering to me that people would read my story and think of Dragon Age I’m legit squealing every time someone says that!
Dragon Age is my favourite game, and I’m having such a great time playing your game as my DAO Surana PC. Never thought I’d be using the name “Isehale” again. I’m loving it!
@Sel_Lee I better make the magic options super awesome then
Okay, so today I began writing the backgrounds part of Chapter 3 (about where you were born) and then I had a revelation. What IF different backgrounds mean different ages for the MC?
Like the fishing village background means the MC is in their late twenties/ early thirties. The mountain village background means the MC is from 18 up top early twenties. And the valley village means that the mc is in their mid-twenties.
I had planned to be more vague about the mc’s age, but I think I could add this little detail to the story and make it richer from a roleplay perspective. But I could also leave it open to the reader’s imagination so they could imagine their age and background however they want.
If I make it more specialized, it could also mean that I could make the companion’s reaction to you more specific, but also the supporting characters’ too!
So what do you think, yay or nay? Let me know!
Ehhh, Kinda meh on that idea, on one hand it’s a cool idea to have characters be able to react to our age but on the other I feel like that kinda makes the backstories all about your MC’s age. I feel like most people will pick a backstory purely to be that age rather than thinking of where they want their MC to come from if that makes any sense.
@grimbutnotalways Yeah, I thought about that too. That’s why I’m asking! So we have one against that idea, noted
I agree with @grimbutnotalways, both on a personal level (picking an age) and likely most people would do so. So, er, nay.
However, nothing stops you from allowing a selection of ages within these ranges (18-23, 24-28, 29-33 or even freely choose 18 to 33 or something), possibly even with an option to skip it for those so inclined (me, I love selecting as much details as possible for my character, as I am indeed into role-playing – and I do create many different characters).
Again on a personal level, in my head it makes sense that, seeing our lack of experience and skills, we are indeed quite young.
@Taylor_Enean Alrighty then! No specified ages in the backgrounds, it’s been decided Maybe I can put it as an option later on, we’ll see I guess!
It’s funny, I have a plan about how things are going to progress writing-wise, but as soon as I start writing, new ideas pop up, or I realize that some parts would flow better if I did this or that instead of what I have already planned
Why do I even bother with plans?!
Why bother with plans? How else will you upset all those carefully planned, uh, plans?
That is the beauty of writing, though, isn’t it? As you write it takes on a life of its own, often taken you to places you never knew existed before you got dragooned to them.
@Taylor_Enean I thought that being an author meant having some idea where your story was going to lead, but boy was I wrong! I was but an innocent child, feel of idealism and notions not based on reality, lol. But I have to say that it’s actually so much fun when the story takes me to completely different places than what I had envisioned!
Ok thank you i just don’t really like it when i am forced to like anybody in story really kills it for me.
@Arcane_warrior Yeah, I can understand that. You may not be able to kill them or leave them behind, but I hope that the options I provide to let them know you don’t like them will make it up for you!
I have finished writing the backgrounds and all the major scenes for this chapter! I only have a couple things left to write and then it’s done! I could even finish it up today!
Woohooo! After I’m done with the writing, I still need to do some editing, and then give it to my beta tester (my sister) to check it.
But I don’t think it’ll be more than a couple of days before I can update the demo! I’M SO EXCITED! I really want to show you guys what I wrote!
But I’m also kind of nervous too. The background stories are… kind of dark. No, that’s a lie. They’re REALLY dark. So I’m not sure how people will respond to them. Or if I have to move the book to the adult section even!
Gah, I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. Feedback is immensely appreciated, and if people want me to move it to the adult section I will.
Almost there now!
Ok thank also will you be able to get armour and weapons in this game.
