Decision: Since (now) all three deaths are an inside job insert 9/11 joke, the death by coding option may work. So here’s the set-up:
You become an actor/actress so that you can find who was responsible for your parents’ deaths, and on the side I’ll include some romance and off time for the protagonist because screw my schedule. Sound good?
That’s actually brilliant! Just throwing it out there, but an interesting way for the MC to solve the murder might be, if they managed to recreate the play where their parents were murdered, with the same cast and crew involved, and used the situation as a way to re-enact the crime scene. It would be awesome! 
Hey, everyone who cares even remotely about this WiP, I’m sorry, but it would seem that this project is gonna be on hold for a long time due to some unforeseen circumstances that now plague me. If I am able to once again start writing, I would love to return to this, but for now this is goodbye.
