You can’t leave me on a cliffhanger with a story in which I’m cheated on :frowning:

But other then that I can’t say that I understand how the personality system works since I seem to have 100 on the right side of the personality stats but so far so good I would say

Another promising story I stumble into in the forums.

Good luck, I’ll be back for more content next update

Glad to see you’re still working on this.

Didn’t notice too many changes, but it’s been a long time since I played it, so I may be misremembering things. I still hate all the ROs, though, so that hasn’t changed. And the MC’s life sucks and is only getting worse. Best scenario at this point is the MC killing all the ROs (and B and Irving), then disappearing before she can get caught.

Aww…the only stylish/edgy clothing option that actually includes shoes is still a dress. :disappointed: Was hoping there would be a more traditionally masculine one. Jeans and a black leather jacket is so mundane and boring compared to the female option particularly if the mc has to wear it with their shitty, ratty old work boots.
And on that topic if my mc still gotta wear his old crappy work boots give us an option to wear the rest of our old clothes too.

Valid, mc is a fish out of water. On the upside barring possibly only Fernando (I still think Fernando might have made the switch with or without Beth) they are not any worse than the other people in mc’s life right now and that is a testament to just how much mc’s life sucked. And Kao is at least nice to look at.

My other thoughts remain the same as in my previous comments too, particularly how the mc is going to cope with the fake identity and backstory forced upon them and how they are actually going to launder the money to their real identity, assuming mc will ever receive it.

True. There’s literally nothing good–and no one good–in the MC’s life. I fail to see how any of these assholes could remotely become valid LIs for the MC. They don’t seem the type to apologize or make up for blackmailing, threatening, or outright stating they want to murder the MC in cold blood.

And R… there’s nothing that cheating sack of shit could say that would salvage them. The murderous blackmailing thieves are better than R, as far as I’m concerned.

I think the part that makes this game grating is the fact that there isn’t one character, save Fernando, that actually likes the MC, and he’s the only one who comes close to caring about the MC. Which means it’s probably a lie and he’s fucked the MC over, too.

That’s the thing–with people like these, it’s unlikely the MC would ever get it. It’s far more likely that, when they’re done with the MC, they’ll kill them and leave them dead in a ditch somewhere. If it had more of a Mr. and Mrs. Smith type vibe, that could work. But neither one of those two was a loser that no one liked.

I like the character personality its probably the first time I see a personality named trait and while keeping the stats like bold impulsive
In one play i cycled between three personality (jester explorer and caregiver)
Now my question is these personalities effect the mc choices ?
And great wip I can see this becoming one my favorite IF of all time keep up the good work and remember don’t burn yourself always take breaks when necessary and happy day or night depend on time zone I guess

True, although I think he may not have deliberately set out to do so, I see him more as somewhat similar to the mc in that he may be the henchman to Beth and whatever organisation she works for or with. All that to say I think they may have blackmailed him into it albeit with a bit different blackmail or enticements than the mc receives.

On that we agree.

True, however while the mc is currently a loser Atlus didn’t have them killed and I do think that is because Atlus has an eye for talent and not out of mercy, as he pretends as they could indeed have killed the mc and dumped them where they would be unlikely to be found for years or decades. The mc is already talented at identifying art and spotting fakes (and does have most of their college education except for the final year and graduation that would have mattered) and could possibly indeed be trained to forge art pieces quite convincingly as well.

Will we be able to betray them and turn them over to the police or screw them over and take the emeralds for ourselves? Don’t want them ti force me to do their bidding

This … this… this game is actually phenomenal in that I’ve never ever equally hated all the ROs involved in a game ALL OF THEM , this is unprecedented for me.
The only route i want to play in this game will be the one in which mc screws everyone over , takes the emeralds , flips off his ex and co-workers and walks into the sunset filthy rich.

Yes! A lot of the changes were behind the scenes with minor changes to the story to set up for chapter 4. At this point 10000% valid to hate the ROs haha

This happens whenever I say I feel like punching Irving:

Wish there were more options on how to handle R, there’s a bunch of text describing the relationship and how much it and they mean to the MC, but when we find them snogging our coworker we get some superficial options on how to react, 3 paragraphs and then we move on. I know that’s not the point of the game, but it felt lacking nonetheless.

Also, I’d just like to add that from the moment the MC started talking about R like they were the pinnacle of human perfection I knew what was happening in that apartment. Don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing, just thought it was worth mentioning.

it happens after I finish chapter 2. After the discussion between the characters saying we are not cut out for it, the next scene is that pic.

Found a bug

Hi all! Sorry for the late reply, I’m working on fixing those bugs, and continuing on the next chapter. Working two jobs right now so things have been a little hectic haha. I’m seeing all of the replies and I should have an updated version for those bugs up by the end of the week! Also keeping in mind the commentary on the story line, things to think about. Certain things ion the story (i.e how Rob is addressed, certain choices, etc.) are subject to change, I’ll def take the comments into consideration while writing. Anyway! I’ll check in again once I’m able to upload the spruced up file on Dashingdon. I think the 404 might be because I need to update a few links, I will work on that as well. Check in soon!

i should really start reading the replies before playing a demo. i don’t feel comfortable playing a character that gets cheated on. a trigger warning would be nice. i hate all the ROs. the mc’s life sucks but i hope the mc improves or worsens and ruin everyone’s life especially R’s. :heart_hands:

this was me the whole time :)
