I would consider art assets for the ROs. Many people want to see the hot guy/girl they’re romancing. Especially if you’re going to have gems that have to do with expanding “make out/sexy time scenes”

An update on MMM’s progress in the publishing queue:
First of all, I’d like to say that it’s really cool having a lead editor to help me polish the game as much as possible. Shout out to Jess for being very supportive and giving me great ideas for how to make certain scenes even better.
I finished the outline a few days ago, which means that all of the dark content has been approved of, and I’ll be getting my first advance check soon. Now, we’re going to be working on editing and coding the first three out of twenty five episodes.
Progress should be very quick going forward, as their coding language is very simple, and very similar to CoG’s, so the learning curve is almost nonexistant. It also doesn’t hurt that I’m about 90% done with writing the story.
A couple changes that will be taking place:

I hadn’t realized that Tales doesn’t currently have code to customize the MC’s name and gender. So, the MC will be a female named Gytha.

I talked with my editor about the sexual abuse scenes and we came up with something that we both like more. When it gets to the point where Gytha reveals their fetish to the ROs, all of them but Abella would be uncomfortable and reluctant to do it. Gytha would then have a couple choices:
1.) Insist that the RO do it anyway. They would then get into a big argument and the RO would ultimately leave.
2.) Actually open up to the RO about how her sexual fetish is connected to her childhood trauma. The RO would still be nervous about the fetishized foreplay but they would choose to do it now that they understood where Gytha was coming from, and since they would feel their relationship had grown after Gytha confiding in them.

Just an honest question based in curiosity. Will you also provide an option to not participate in the fetish play at all, but still have sex with them? I say this only because (I assume) most players will probably just want the plain vanilla, and it currently looks like the only way to completely prevent engaging in the fetish play is to insist and scare them off, which would end the scene altogether.

Oh good nooooo. My life has just crumbled before me, I am drowning in an ocean of sadness with no ship to come and help 
. I completely loath female MC’s for some reason, I turn and scram the other way. It might be because my transness makes me loath my own sex or maybe I’m just sexist. I’m still gonna force my way through the game though, somehow.

I’m not totally opposed to that, but my initial thought is that I’d like to stick with the fetishes. It makes sense with the character and adds another layer of weird, creepiness to a weird and creepy story.
That said, the first half of the sex scenes where you woo the ROs are still normal and the same amount of stuff I had in The Magician’s Burden.

Yeah, it’s not ideal, but then again I think we have all been spoiled by CoG. 
Most interactive novels don’t let you customize your MC.

ill admit based on the description of the game i was in the mmm just slightly to dark probably not gonna read it the i saw near the bottom…
and i thought ok maybe i might. That might make it interesting enough to read.
norman was a tolerable character in a weird way and dexter…i got through i think 1 season before i went nope done, but i mean if dexter had magic…i think i could get thought at least another 2 seasons.
just maybe not read this when im depressed.

You should make it into a game with both the hitchhiker and driver are serial killers and they end up doing a road trip to see who can rack up the biggest body count lol

I’d definitely pay for that tbh. I feel like that would truly be some quality content, escpecially with dark humour!!

I wanted to say this before I forgot again: I have exchanged e-mails with someone from their staff, and they said that they were looking in to adding pronoun functionality. I don’t know when they are planning to do it or if it will get done, but it’s possible that their software will support it in the future.

If you dont want to make it into a full game you could make it a scene in MMM. The MC is travelling by a coach and picks a traveller up and they both end up being killers. Lol

I feel pretty confident that would quickly become just Myers and Voorhees. They aren’t going to have any time for a couple of humans, killers or not.
Also, y’all should read the Monstergeddon series on Something Awful. Kinda in this vein, and a hilarious take on mid-2000s forum culture.
