Apparently not. I wonder why myself, since it’s the longest game in recent memory to not get a Steam release. I guess a game explicitely about US politics may have been deemed too… controversial for this time of year.
If that’s the reason… then damn, I never thought CoG would be affraid like that, and bow to the “people” in power on such way But by any chance I’m wrong on that, then sorry in advance
I mean, I played the WiP and it didn’t seem very controversial. It seemed pretty tame tbh.
@Dr_Phosphorus We don’t actually know the official reason yet, so we should probably avoid accusing anyone of “bowing” before we have heard from a single person in charge of publishing.
You are very much mistaken. If you look at our history and the public statements we’ve made, you will see that we are not shy about having values and views that are not approved of by the current administration.
Games are selected for Steam release based on their projected sales: specifically, whether they seem likely to earn enough to offset the extra costs involved. It is a business decision.
Edited to add:
We understand that people are tense about the current state of US politics. We are also people, and we are also living through these times. Please try when posting to avoid engaging in destructive rhetoric like negative conjecture (for more on this topic, see this post).
I’m glad to have been wrong, then. I appreciate receiving an answer on that. I had to ask to get further clarification on the subject; otherwise, I would have been left wondering about it.
I’m also glad I wasn’t targeted for raising such a question—I mean, we have to prove that we are different from those people who removed others like they did on that last thursday
But if I was rude or impolite, I apologize for that too.
Congratulations on release! I remember when the demo first appeared on Dashingdon. It was a delight to watch the game develop and an even greater delight to now see it spread to a wider audience.
I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and to.the best of my ability preserve, protect, and defend my own amusement in doing so.
Same here, would be a great addition for my library
But I think the author deserves the support early on, so I got it by the Playstore, while we don’t get it on steam
Congrats on the release @RfKramer
I ones found time to play it’s Wip version and I liked much. Unfortunately I can’t found time for feedback at that time.
