not really my taste but my god is it still very good. i enjoyed what i played and it was blast to read. roach may not be my fav ro but man do he be very funky. roach definitely going to be such a fun person to hang out with.

I recently played this and I really enjoyed it. I definitely liked playing as a being getting comfortable to life on Earth. However I wish their was maybe a bit more to our mundane childhood/teenage years, a bit more to help establish a sense of normalcy and personality before we jump into the strangeness that starts happening in the story.
I also wish the cult thing was done better, since choosing to ignore it, just loops straight into being made the leader of the cult anyway and while I understand it may be for story reasons, it just feels a little too railroaded.

Oh jesus, the game is so long without adding Newman’s childhood and teen years. I also suck at writing teenagers. I think i blocked out that stage of my life 
Oh yeah, it’s for story reasons: Luna Ridge (and the ranch and cult) correspond to the second part of the game. Think of it as the “taking the ring to Mordor” part. If I take out the cult there’s no story 
You can however choose how your Newman feels about it and there’s different endings depending on your choices.

Yep, that’s completely valid, and your Newman’s take on the cult (and Horizon) will affect the ending. Also the way they feel about Earth and humans. All of that influences which ending you’ll get.

Got introduced to this demo last year, loving it. And Roach. Mostly Roach. They are are so terrible, and yet so charming, how dare.
I’m curious, how do you unlock the “But Roach was the, uh, first.” option in response to “This isn’t the first time somebody has tried to approach you with more than platonic intentions…”? I’ve done a few permutations of my Newman but that option has always been greyed out

After gas station fight, in Roach’s apartment pick the option of bold flirt something along the lines “Wanna shower together?” wink wink nudge nudge Then there’s gonna be an option of stepping out of shower to get clothes since Roach is lazy testing how serious you are. Pick the option “Two can play the game” then “You don’t know when to shut up” in the next promt. Or something like that

Sorry I disappeared for so long, I wanted to wait until I had exciting news, and today is the day, finally
I’ve sent TP to Hosted Games and they’ve replied. I need to tweak a couple of things and send them a bunch of assets (the cover art for the game, the blurb, etc) and then TP will be added to the queue 
I’m super excited!
We’ve been brainstorming some cover ideas with my artist and I’m pumped to see what they come up with. I’m also saving money to pay for the art assets, so if you have some bucks to spare, here’s my ko-fi

Ahhhhhhh can’t wait!! I think this may be the first game I’ve started following that is actually on its way to being published, its been super awesome seeing where it all started from and now seeing it so close to the end goal! You better bet I’m gonna be one of the first to buy it as soon as it drops!

I only finished the prologue and I’m gobsmacked with the quality of writing and how well you’ve portrayed a lovecraftian lens of existence. Your narration is concise yet evocative, and the characterisation nuanced across the people we encounter as well as the protagonist.
