I’ve been quite lazy on actually reading this, so I took some time to catch up.
Small thing
I noticed in a few locations that there seemed to be an extra space in-between some of your paragraphs. It seems like it’s occurring on the texts after choices. Do you have *line_breaks there?
Honestly, the spleunking scene was so accurate to how I would have reacted, and I’m really glad Roach went with me. Him comforting me after the small tunnel was absolutely adorable and I hope for more tender moments like that with him.
Also, UGH. Every single sex scene you write with Roach is unbearably good. I am so so so so so glad that I didn’t have to give him up in Chapter 4, that would have been disappointing for various reasons.
Really, really looking forward to Chapter 5! Regarding the whole public beta thing, CoG mandates that your game has to go through a full public beta before being submitted to HG. Just keep that in mind. I would also be very sad if I couldn’t get to play the full game, because I really wanna see where all of this is going.
@pimenita i love roach so dang much! he makes my mc swoon so hard lol this update was perfect! it was truly worth the wait! and that scene were the mc tells roach not to go i truly thought i was in a anime lol. like she was gonna run and just plead for him not to go.
Uh if you mean what happened in cabin, you let go of him, come back the cabin later, you’ll have extra talking with Roach and even another sex. He wants to go out because…you will find out the reason in that talk.
So, I have been flirting with Jonny since chapter 2, but again, he storms off as soon as I tell him me and Roach are staying at the cult. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong =/
I can’t believe Jonny isn’t into Roach. I’m telling you, that kid is denial. My faith will not be shaken.
So, being an otherworldly horror is all well and good, but I would have liked to be a bit nicer about it.
Basically, the options to deal with our family are either “treat them like my real family” or, “disdain them as worthless”.
I would like to see a third option, that still retains the inhumanity and distance, but allows some affection. Something along the lines of: “these humans are entertaining pets, useless of course, but still mine”. Even if you don’t care much about humans as a rule, surely even horrible creatures from beyond the pale are allowed some measure of sentiment, if only out of possessiveness.
Also, I found it very surprising that Roach can only be a man or a woman. Considering who they are, a more fluid gender identity, or non-binary one, seems like a reasonable alternative.
Has anyone gotten the option to choose between Roach and Jonny? Every time I try to get it Jonny just tells me to take care of Roach but that’s only supposed to happen if Jonny feels betrayed. I flirted with both at every opportunity but I didn’t sleep with Roach and I brushed his hand away.
And yeah, he’s a little wary when it comes to his friends because of reasons.
