Did you pass the first mission check for the bonus somehow? I tried that build and was one gold short for the morale potion that would have put me over the success line.
Did you make a certain stat build and made sure your MC’s Morale is not in the negatives?
No? I fought alongside the farmers using magic, at middling morale.
I found I kind of hit a negative gold snowball without getting the bonus gold from the best outcome on the first mission since everything is more expensive without a mentor.
I knooow.
Actually, when I tried it, what happened is I couldn’t get +3 morale on the second mission, so I had to get a book of economics instead of a book of magic. I still ended up a stat point up, though, and can get the necessary magic in the second game if I wanna continue.
Crazy thing is I think I got it solved to where I was literally 1 gold short of putting it all together.
Is there a way to get my magic lore to 2 as a freelancer. I had enough money to buy the book but the option was just grayed out.
I’m thinking on returning to the game. I played Kendrickstone more than once, but choice app eliminated my achievements (it does it sometimes
)
I think that there is a limit?
*selectable_if ((wealth >= 150) and (spellbook = false)) #I buy a tome of magic, and try to learn the arcane arts. [150 silver]
I think this is the code behind this. So you are not going to get very far with your magic build in freelancer path. The only way to improve your magic even further is to apprentice to the wizard
2/2 is still pretty strong magic, especially if you go to Will 6.
The way I’d do it is to succeed in the first mission (which is more difficult for freelancers but far from impossible) and take the gold reward.
