The Great Tournament Hints

If you have enough health, at the end of the tournament in the last match, you can challenge Malik and even if you have far less health, you can alternate between offense and defense and end up slashing his throat.

How to unlock hidden achievements?

@Alex_Chen
There are few hidden achievement , i only remember keeping Sir Robert alive…basically you need to prevent him from drinking the poison and stay on to fight alongside him until the end…

As for the rest, there were already walk through …in fact a very detail walkthrough discuss among us, perhaps you can scroll up the thread and read them? because i read novel this long ago and forgotten some of the detail unless i re-read them again … i remember there were active discussion among us few months ago, which every fan of Great Tournament contribute their own play through there… so i would advice you to scroll up to read our comments

and the ā€œRoyal Kazoo Playerā€ (if i correct), basically you need your Diplomacy skill to be 1, not less or more. Then before the feast (after you met Hannah for the first time), choose Fancy shirt and pants. Then at the Guard scene choose ā€œmake something upā€, and ā€œi forgot itā€. Voila! you get the ā€œRoyal Kazoo Playerā€ Achievement

Any suggestion to choose the right militia?
At the moment I just rejected people with major injuries

Can anyone help me with this? I want to know which cities have shops, what I can buy from there and at what price.

I don’t remember that quite well, but this were my best answer

The Capital: The Engagement Ring
Firebend : Health potion
Willow Dale: Bow and Health potion
Pendle : Horse
Eastborne : Shield
Northsbury: Armor

and for prices… i forget all of that…

The militia troop count is not important , for my opinion… I rejected most conscription (the wounded, women and children , old folks, young kid and sole support of family) and end up with minimum troop. I only withdraw 500 gold, train around 7-8 archers and 4-5 spearmen… neighbouring villagers will come and i train them as Horsemen (the number depend on your riding skill)…
the war was won and Nadine survived

@Earl_of_Arland
You are awesome to remember those town names
I remember Bow is 500 gold, shield is 750 gold, armour is 1000 gold, horse is 1000 gold… there is no need for sword because Sir Robert’s sword is the best … I bought shield , armour and Horse , became rank number one before the final and killed Malik over and over again easily…Lol
with Nadine at our side, we couldn’t lose the archery contest…Lol

You need to give them the answers they want to hear. Remember they’re organising this tournament to find a future king.

So say you want to be great general/king etc. along that line.

Also the first qn you need to answer fully and truthfully.

the Fragglesworth is the best (and imho) only way to end with Midas achievement. Just con that poor Herbert to giving you 10000 gp (needs some diplomacy score)

Yield to Malik will be a good one

This is something I just couldn’t get without reading spoilers… thank goodness for the internet

You can ask for gold after you win the tournament as your boon. You get 1 million gold and become king later, giving you both the king and the Midas achievements. It’s the easiest way to get Midas

Greetings, fans of the GT!

I fell in love with the game and I have successfully unlocked most of the achievements – except one hidden! As I have already played the game for many hours and nothing helpful can be found on the forum, I thought, I might ask you nicely for a small hint/advice. I certainly would not appreciate direct answer, but a slight push in the right direction, for instance, in which part of the game can it be unlocked or the location of it, maybe also an advice about what stats should I focus on, for anything of this I would be very grateful!

This is the list of my unlocked achievements (19/20):

Ruthless

Merciful

What we do in life, Echoes in Eternity

Bullseye!

Tournament Champion

Down with the monarchy!

King of Magincia

Prince

Warriors … assemble!

Save Sir Robert

Secret Meeting

Midas

Sherlock

Keen Eye

I know Magic

Bandit Killer

Solomon

Expert

Veni, vidi, vici

Kind regards
Morgeral

You’re missing the kazoo player one. It’s during the royal feast at the start of the game and has to do with an average diplomacy stat.

You can read my explanation a few post above, thank you

(I hope I wrote my question to right place, still trying to figure out how to use this… strange forum)

Hi everyone,

Do you know exact name, extention and location of save file?

I asked to offical support but probably they are too busy to answer my question. I hope you, players, have some time to spare for me.

Hi, @tako_muro ! welcome to the forum. Can you explain what do you mean by ā€˜Save files location’? because i think that The Great Tournament has no saving/checkpoint system.
