reading the character bios and… Chase is just a Chill Guy confirmed??? (I will be romancing him, peak character)
He is indeed a Chill Guy™. Chase has honestly been really fun to write in episode 3 so I fully support your endeavors!
He is really chill, if you haven’t read the beginning yet. So I approve!
Does that MaYN mean I can romance Allister with a male character? And if I can is there a possibility for a showmance with the kid to develop into something genuine after the show? Cause he does seem to be one of the romance archetypes I love, the bad rich boy ice prince.
Yes.
Yaaay, Allister love! And yes, as Master-Javier already replied: it does mean that Allister is male exclusive.
I’m going to have him eliminated next now just because of this statement lol (I’m kidding)
If you ain’t doing it guess I am
Yay! So I guess a boy like Allister is in it more for the fame than the money, huh? Seeing as how he referred to his lawyers plural in the opening? I bet Allister is one if not the main eye candy draw of the show to a lot of viewers as well.
Allister is too cute to be eliminated this quickly, I hope he and my mc can actually be the finalists but then my mc still needs to beat him because, unlike Allister, I think my mc could really use that money.
Don’t worry I won’t do that to him. I actually replayed it recently and picked a few of the options regarding him and he actually stuck with me. He was adorable and funny, I loved the scene with him over reacting about the mansion lol
As for who I plan to go for regarding romance I’m leaning towards either Camilla or Amarah. I haven’t really decided yet lol
Is there a way to form an alliance with Chase or does he always reject?
You’ll be able to form an alliance with him, just not at the beginning. He wants to take things easy at the moment.
Allister’s in the competition partly for the fame, but mostly for a reason related to his backstory that’ll be revealed in his downtime events later.
You know, now that I think about it part of me thinks Alistair and Megan would either make Ironically great friends or they will hate each other.
I know this is a long ways away but I simply need to know: will the winner of the season, whoever it turns out to be during our playthrough, keep the money? I would hate for another ending of world tour to happen, despite that season being very good.
Yes! I would never let a World Tour-like (or even Island-like for that matter) ending where the winner loses their money in the end happen in my story. Those endings never sat right with me.
Also for the record, the stupid game show tax that’s in the US doesn’t exist in my universe. If you win, you will keep all of your fictional money no matter the country! lol
Well everybody has to pay income taxes and high enough winnings can and do push some people (temporarily) into a higher tax bracket than they are used to, however as it relates to the gaming/gambling taxes some game shows over here actually pay those for you now after there was a minor outcry over it a decade or so ago and some others like the national lottery and certain charities were already exempt from VAT and gambling taxes. A lot of the small print over here now says that winnings are after tax numbers. So in that case you’d actually technically win more than a million and a million is what you actually get to walk away with if you win.
Income and other taxes, like municipal ones, remain the problem of the winner however and personally I do think that is fair. Besides with large enough prizes there are lots of other loopholes in the tax laws one can use, just like all the other millionaires, to significantly lower ones tax burdens.
Ooh I like this story! I don’t think I’ve ever read a reality show IF so reading this really intrigued me and made me want to dive in more~ Can’t wait for more updates!
Infamous is the other one that comes to mind when it comes to reality shows. Which is funny to bring it up now because there was a really interesting reddit discussion today regarding that IF.
I seriously wasn’t expecting that post to get the attention that it did. I made it because I was genuinely curious is all. I loved the discussions in the comments, it’s was such a breath of fresh air.
