Good news, everyone! Episode 3 has been released :D! Sadly, due to Dashingdon’s imminent closure, you will have to reset your progress on CoGDemos :/.
Hey, so, I would like to apologize to everyone for the wait. I unironically could have finished this update a full month ago, but I got far too deep into my own head and convinced myself that everything had to be perfect, that I couldn’t release until I was 100% sure that everything was flawless. I would keep writing things and then erasing them over and over and progress sort of just stagnated for a while.
…Then I realized something: this is a WIP. It doesn’t have to be perfect yet–that’s the reason playtesters exist in the first place to tell you what’s wrong. After realizing that, things went a lot more smoothly and I finished everything I had left in like 4 days lol. So yeah, totally on me for this not coming out sooner. Apologies again and let’s hope that things go more smoothly for Episode 4 :].

Hey, I want to report that this is not an option for me still.
Same as before, I had Bernard go first, convinced the others,
and without being given a choice went down with the plane.

Whoops that was my bad. I wrote the scene, but only linked to it in the version of events where you don’t have Bernard go first. It should be fixed now though :].

I have a couple more things to report. One is a typo, when you ask Allister about that woman he says Bernard resembles. He says “I don’t you did very well this shoot”, which is missing a “think” between “I” and “don’t”. The other is that, after winning the challenge in chapter 3, the page you get is still the one about heading to the cabin, laying on the uncomfortable bed, and having a hard time sleeping, though MC has access to the resort due to winning the challenge. I don’t know if it’s a factor, but this is on a run where I lost the beach challenge in chapter 2.
Overall, I really liked episode 3, looking forward to what else you’ll cook! Great job!

I just had an idea, which may require a moderate amount of work, but which could improve the overall experience a decent amount. Right now, the end chapter/day page feels slightly empty. “So-and-so was eliminated X place”, pretty much. Now, this is mitigated somewhat when you are present for the elimination, but when you are on the winning team, it leaves you feeling “oh, they’re gone? Just like that?”
So my suggestion is simple: have the eliminated member have a final confessional, doesn’t need to be an extremely long one, go below the “X was eliminated” sentence on the day’s result page. If you are going for replayability, and want people to play for the other team (and lose) to experience how the character reacted to their elimination, that’s fair. But imo having these “eliminated confessionals” would make for a stronger experience for single playthrough players. Not a dire need of the game by any means, but something that may be interesting to explore if you want it to give it that extra oomph and already worked to implement all the ideas you had.
