A single RO? Damn Lux better be the most interesting individual of the world at that point, still will see how things develop.
Variety can be a virtue but one needs a certain expertise to tackle it, if as the writer you are more sure about a single route but really complete and full of events that leave us readers in awe well that I can back and understand.
The jealously scenes? Wonder if things will get murderous during those, like Lux enters a black temper and murders some of those flirty individuals Yandere style, well hopefully is tamer than that

I actually rather like the concept, ITFO does something similar, where depending on your sexuality, youāre locked into only being able to romance one specific character, and without being given multiple options, it lets the author build more around that character and they can spend as much time as they can on that single relationship dynamic. It also means the author in question has to be good at writing interesting characters, but Iām not too worried on that front. The workload here isnāt anywhere as complicated as that, but depending on the genders of lux and the MC, there are four relatively different variations of a dynamic to explore, and Iām curious to see how it goes

Alright! Iāve updated the demo to get rid of pesky pronoun errors and typos. Fingers crossed everythingās good now 
. Thank you so much to everyone who brought them to my attention! As per request, Iāve also included the option to type in your own name for the MC and added percentage bars for certain character opinions.
This is the reason I chose to make Lux the only RO. I had considered adding others, but ultimately decided that Iād rather explore on relationship as in-depth as I could rather than risk not being able to balance them out. Besides, it would have been obvious that Lux was the intended RO of the game anyway.
I really do suggest that people play the game with multiple combinations of Lux and the MC. The different dynamics should be fun .
I definitely plan on adding more gendered variations for the MC as well! It will be slightly less obvious/overt with the MC because the circumstances theyāve been growing up in to this point are very different. With that being said, variations will definitely be included.

Just recently found this but Iām loving it! Super looking forward to seeing how court shenanigans go and how our MC navigates them!
I understand that Lux is the only RO, but will we be railroaded into a relationship with them, or will we have the choice of keeping things platonic with them?

The Lux romance is mandatory. Iād considered including a platonic option initially, but as I got further into outlining I realized just how much work that would take. It would be almost, if not completely, impossible. I figured Iād have to cut either the romantic route or the platonic route, and opted to cut the latter.
Iām sure that some people wonāt be happy with this, and I understand that. But I opted to make the romance mandatory in order to tell the story I wanted.

Well this surely keep me intrigued as to what is the prophecy, so far so good.
I donāt mind with one RO although itās probably draw some dissatisfaction I understand with just one RO we get more in depth romance and hopefully exciting story.

I just finished the demo and I loved it! Lux seems to be my type so Iām excited to see just how complex our relationship with him can become. Also, the fact that gender has an impact on romance and how Lux acts is so cool :0

Will there be opportunity to make Lux jealous? Or people falling in love/being obsessed with MC?
Would height differences be actively mentioned? Can be funny if a tall Lux stares down at MC and thinks ācuteā or makes fun of mc, especially a angry kitty type of mc

Lux is definitely a character haha. Iām glad that you like them so far!
There will be jealousy scenes later on in the game. As of now, I plan for these to be both romantic and platonic in nature, though that could still change. Iām tracking a height variable so yes, height differences will be mentioned.

I just finished the demo and I really liked it! I think the dynamics of the different families felt very real. Waaa Iām excited for reading more of this! It has the vibes of House of the Dragon lol the older brother of Lux and heir reminded me of Aegon, the first son of Viserys 
Iām really interested in seeing how the relationship between Lux and the MC develops!
Oh, and I think, as someone mentioned above, that a character chart inside the game would be useful, especially for people like me, who can hardly remember two names at most akskdkdj and the title of the game at the beginning! I had copied the link of the demo and forgot about the title and I struggled to find this post in the forum 
Ps: I realized the title can be seen when you click on the link, but still wouldnāt hurt to have it at the beginning, right? 
OK, Iāll stop nagging now 
edit: I now also realized that you can see the title from the browser in the computer 
but from my phone I couldnāt

Hi everyone! Itās been quiet on this thread for a hot minute huh? Iām just popping in to say that Iām almost wrapped up with chapter 2, with only a few scenes left to complete. Given the progress Iāve made and the progress I expect to make, I have an update date in mind!
Chapter 2 will be posted on July 31st at 9pm EST. Iāll be running the demo through quicktest, my fingers are crossed Dashington doesnāt decide to hate my subroutines again.

There are some slight tweaks to Chapter 1, but itās largely the same. The update will consist mainly of Chapter 2.

So yāall know how I said the update was coming out on the 31st? Well surprise, itās coming out 2 days early! I had more time on my hands than I was expecting these last couple days, and I managed to wrap up chapter 2 sooner than expected.
Please let me know if you find any bugs/typos. Knowing me, my brain probably skipped over all of it even with my editing rip. Chapter 2 is 22.5k words long, bringing the demo to a total of 44k words. I advise playing with both a male and female Lux to get the full benefit of variation/branching.
Stuff you can do in chapter 2
In Chapter 2, you:
- Flashback to the MC getting their prophecy
- Seek comfort from either Alaric or Eulia
- Have lessons with Lux
- Meet Arjun, if you havenāt already
- Have tea with Isolde
- And make an impression on Lux, if you havenāt already
