Tempus Chronicles (Fantasy/WIP/Idea)

I kinda want to romance this guy… Hopefully he’s more than just a generic, destroy-the-world sort of villain.

I’m not really a big fan of stat-choicing. When each of your choices is connected to a single stat, and only one is “correct” for your character’s stats, it’s not really much of a “choice”, since you have to choose correctly, or you’ll die (and I’m not a big fan of dying in these games, either). It also means that you have to be completely consistent with earlier choices. For example, someone who chooses a mixture of strength and stealth choices wouldn’t be able to choose either of your options and win.

This story has caught my attention, I shall watch it and await the demo patiently.

I’m not quite confident in my ability to write romance, so if I do implement romance, it’ll most likely take a sideline to the main plot(s)

Katran is probably one of the few characters I have fully fleshed out. He has his own backstory and reasons for doing what he does. Which, of course I won’t reveal now. I also do want to note that there are other villains, some of which can be seen in the excerpt I posted quite a while ago. And each of them have their own goals, that sometimes conflict with Katran’s, which you can use against them… if you manage to learn their goals that is. Some goals will be easy to learn, some not so easy.

It’s not going to be as limited as I may have made it out to be. So here’s the rundown of how I plan for combat to work. It’s going to be a “Health”(Endurance) based system. The skills you are good at will govern how well you can use them in combat. For example you could use both stealth and combat, but if your character isn’t skilled in one, then most likely you will lose endurance. Other tactics in “Boss” combat, would be reacting appropriately to your opponents actions. For example if you were to try to sneak in combat(this wouldn’t really be an option, but it’s an example) while your opponent is sending bolts of electricity at you will result in a loss of endurance, because your opponent already sees you. However reacting to that with a combat move like transmuting a pebble into a large boulder, you would block the attack and be able to keep fighting. (Or better yet a (rare) combination move, like following up the transmutation with a push spell to not only block the lightning, but also use a spell from a different class(or raw strength if you have a high skill, and it’s small enough to lift) to send that boulder flying at your enemy.)

Thank you very much.
