You can also just compliment her. Saying “you look nice today” (you get the chance to do so just a bit before Ambrose’s parlour scene) gets you the exact same relationship buff (ie, 100%) as going through with her zany scheme.
She’s … really really immature. A woman-child. Her relationship bar has only two states: loves you or hates you, and nothing in between. It’s actually pretty funny when expressed in the CoG mold of relationship bars and sliding scales, and perfectly encapsulates just how simple she is.
So, I have this game since it launched. Played quite a few times too. I thought it had nothing more on it that could surprise me.
But when I found out that Colonel Magnus Firesnuff, master adventurer extraordinaire, is actually Fifi Buttercup? That was something I could never have expected in a hundred years. Now that was a masterstroke!
Wait a-- in my head, I always imagined Mopsie being in her teens.
I see, thanks! I guess I just imagined her younger because of the way she speaks.
@Spire, there’s also a way to romance Valentine, go live with them on the West Coast and - somehow - continue to be Rory’s valet. I never picked that ending, but I did see it in that long list of choices at the end.
Nowadays, I barely have time to read or play games. However, I managed to find some time to check out Tally Ho and I fell completely in love with it. Funny, endearing and certainly entertaining, just what I needed to alleviate a bit of the stress that usually comes on Christmas. I can’t say I was completely satisfied with the ending I got, but that’s probably only because I made some dumb choices during my playthrough. I will probably be satisfied more if I play it once more, and I’ll definitely do it; there are so many interesting characters and scenarios that I don’t want to miss.
Not my favourite game, but definitely in the top 10. I’ll be looking forward to your work in the future.
Well, if you want to hear my thoughts, I think quite a few of the people on the forum would be pumped for a sequel named “The Adventures of Trina Wilhelmina, Inner Circle Agent”.
Also, does anyone know how to get Frankincense to ask to meet in the gazebo? when I talk to him all he ever says is that we mustn’t speak of the past winter’s night gazebo boinking, even though my character is very deliberately seeking to have her birch and her oak in the same arbor.
It will be another Wodehouse game, and I am tentatively thinking of calling it “Land Ho” or possibly “Westward Ho” as the next installment in the, uh, “Ho” series, as it were.
I am still in the early stages of outlining, but I am starting to come around to the notion of bringing back characters from Tally Ho. More than that, I’m not sure.
You realize that this is all heading towards a big Christmas-themed extravaganza featuring all the characters from previous installments in all possible combinations, right? Cause, you know, if ‘Ho’ is now your thing you just must crown it with an installment named…
Fifi Buttercup is a… No wait, I meant… Oh you know what I mean.
