I mean, if I’m aiming to be chosen I usually end up somewhere at 71-73 (and this is with admitting trusting too easily and setting Xavier free, all the while not being actually interested in being chosen), I was just trying to track what the actual number is.
I only got around 69 on Chapter 7 before Judgement Day. Perhaps my ruler MC is too kind hearted. 
I don’t recall many places where being kind would actually cause problems

I think freeing Xavier and interfering with Jarean costs some Leadership points. I have to check the code though.
Edit: So I when and collate what decreases Leadership. The highest value you get deducted was 10. I didn’t put what value though… You are correct that being kind doesn’t mean a decrease in value. XD Avoiding these will probably make reaching 67 and above easy.

Just be careful who you trust, last time you said you want peace with Erwan and Astryn they poison rhivenia try not to trust anyone blindly lest you want another incident like that.
I agree with you, this game actually give a reality check , which is another reason I like it, I trust Astryn words that Erwan and Pagonia is honourable and won’t use poison , but the outcome really gave a shock and saddened me , I was actually considered a lots when interacting with Astryn there after, on whether to continue shielding her . I want my first playthrough as my genuine experience, so I was glad continue trusting Astryn actually made our bond closer, at least she decided not to kill me in the end… but her warning before that end scene was true to her heart, she promised not to harm my people by warn me, we are always enemy . Now I understand, while not harming other people, she never promised not to harm me, that was an emotional realization , of Erwan I won’t be so merciful with him now, although I don’t think Astryn will allow me to kill him.
with even the Everans best scout, Marlene had perish, I am now more determine to enlist Erza as my spymaster, my instincts told me she had her connection of thieves which may be the group who can counter Erwan superior espionage
How to get "perfect Ending " ? Which choie you choose during Speech ?
Perfect ending for different readers will be individual perception, as everyone’s interest will be different as well .
For mine, I consider it was a perfect ending when I finally befriended Astryn and rooted in her heart, she decided not to kill me and openly seek forgiveness from Erwan is what I consider a perfect star-crossed lovers. Astryn had been with Erwan her entire life and loathe Rhivenians with upmost hatred, but with me managing to change her heart was no small feat.
As for the speech, I weather the storm as I perfectly know what will be the consequence by proclaming to be Astryn’s protector , apparently the merchant want me dead, I do hope I gain alliance with the thieves when I free the children earlier, Erza and the thieves would be the perfect spies to seek out those traitors…Lol
As long they find the real traitors and don’t just pick randomly. But u will become unpopular with and hated helping those thieves.

You can be kind or ruthless, being in good leadership could be kind, naive, cruel or pragmatic.
For my opinion, leadership is a trait in mind where we can be good leader, but our heart may be different from our mind, Daenir said a king need to be in good balance in mind and heart, but apparently, my MC leans towards my heart but my mind with good leadership understanding let the Sword chose me…Lol
