I buy all of my games from the website because I read on e-ink devices, and it’s the only way I can play from everywhere without having to buy the same game multiple times.
The website started selling games before they were available on mobile, so I I have been hoping for this since a few years now. Because, now that there are so many games, it’s difficult to find older ones if we don’t exactly remember their name to use Ctrl+F. Something more user friendly would be nice.
Here are an idea of tags to narrow down the game list:
- a search bar with filters on the website.
Maybe it would not take much time to someday add a search bar on the website, with tags? Here is an idea of what would help to find games:- Genre: slice-of-life, xenofiction, superhero, sleuth, sea adventure, etc.
(genres can be much better than the vague generic ones from the omnibus app) - Gender: v, f, m
- PC species (not just supernatural, but for any non-human state): human, animal, spirit, angel, fantasy race, undead, dragon, ai, cyborg, other
- Relationship (the tilde includes either friendship, romance, or rivalry or both): v~v, f~m, f~f, etc.
- World settings: past, contemporary, future
- Rating (of themes like player coercing or murdering, ‘graphical’ violence, and erotic content, not just the later): 1, 2, 3
They can create tags from the games’ recurrent themes, instead of what generic books do. Just put more time to think about tags than what was given for the omnibus app, because it doesn’t cut it.
- Genre: slice-of-life, xenofiction, superhero, sleuth, sea adventure, etc.
But it’s a request. Not a complain.
