SPOILERS! Heroes Rise 2: The Hero Project

@Skeith, alas, I’m pretty sure the MeChip warning system requires hard real-world currency (i.e. it’s an In-App Purchase), and can’t be had for any amount of the $$ your character acquires in-game.

@Havenstone There is code, at least in the chrome store version that lets you buy it for $50,000 if you have $60,000.

Ah. Ignore me, then.

I’m actually also interested in Culic’s mothers name. I’m really not feeling like I want to start completely over just for that info

Also, the MeChip upgrade has piped in on quite a few of the battle decisions, giving hints on the best way to decide. And I finished The Prodigy having saved Sonja, this receiving the HoT grant, and I was able to buy the MeChip upgrade without spending any real money, you just need the in-game cash.

Culic’s Gerald and his mother’s Geraldine.

Is it possible to get maybe about 70+ or 80+ relationship ratings for Lucky, Black Magic and Jenny in one playthrough? I’m still not convinced on which relationship I should choose, and with the choices I made or I plan to make in my upcoming playthroughs, I’m not sure how it would turn out in the final game, hence it would be nice to be prepared for any scenarios in the next game…

Well hopefully in the next game we will get a chance to go for all the romance options, even when taking into account all the events that happened in Heroes Rise and Hero Project… It would be disheartening if any choices made in this game or the previous one causes any of the romance options to be totally irreparable/unchooseable (I don’t think there’s such a word lol…) in the next game.

I don’t think so. You have to choose between Lucky and Black Magic at one point, after all. If you choose not to choose your relationship with both of them takes a hit. I’ve never tried, mind you. I suspect it would be easier to accomplish if you’re romancing Black Magic, to be friends with Lucky, than romancing Lucky, since Black Magic tends to be a lot more unforgiving. Give it a try and find out.

I’d think Black Magic would be unrepairable though, if you don’t finish the second game in a relationship with them. I could be surprised though.

The relationship ratings had no effect on the game in the original beta version that I played and read through very closely. It’s one of the very minor issues I had with the game. The relationship scores seemed to serve little purpose. For example, having a high relationship score with BM made her no more forgiving, and no less likely to issue ultimatums, than if you had a low score. While it’s possible that things have changed since, I expect they probably haven’t since it’s a rare person who will notice.

I see. That makes sense, thanks for your reply! So I guess being friends with Lucky and romancing Black Magic would be the best choice for now as it seems to allow for a final choice to be made in the next game… I’ll try out all options if my will and patience allows me to, considering that in my first playthrough the results were less than desirable because I was constantly on the fence… Well I guess we won’t know for sure, so I’m just going to make a couple of saves for the next game. Its gonna be somewhat tedious though…

Also, is it possible to not sell out Jenny while not being sabotaged myself? I did see the option to not take the pills Rebellion offers me, but I didn’t try it yet so I don’t know if that would change anything. Though from what I read here it probably will be the same considering we would explode either way lol.

@P_Tigras Well, I remember having high scores with BM but was still issued the ultimatum… I guess I’ll find out if I ever get to trying a playthrough siding BM all the way. This could mean that in the next game we would be able to access all the romance no matter what choices we made in the past games, which can be good or bad depending on the player’s views.

If you don’t take the pills you won’t explode.

@P_Tigras Wow, that’s good news! But I guess this means that I will still be booted out of the show if I choose to help Jenny huh?

You are booted out of the show, regardless of any previous actions, if you refuse to tell Jenny’s secret.

You explode if you’ve been taking the pills.

Black Magic did deliver the ultimatum, regardless. I don’t think it checks for relationship stat. It just checks for previous actions. Maybe that was changed, I’m not sure. I generlaly don’t check stats so I didn’t notice, but what P_Tigras says sounds right.

Yep, you will be booted out regardless if you don’t rat out Jenny.

Regarding the romances, there are other variables that also track the status of the relationships, not just the numerical score, and in part 2, those other variables were far more important.

I should add that even though you’re still booted for not snitching on Jenny regardless, if you take pump then once news of your “substance abuse” spreads, your legend score is reduced, your hated score is increased, and antipowered sentiment increases. On the other hand your scores aren’t touched if you didn’t take pump.

I somehow got into a weird middle-ground with Lucky and Black Magic. Technically, there was never any breakup scene, and my PC remained on decent terms with both, never having actually voted either of them off (plus an inexplicably high relationship stat with BM despite not following their voting demands).

I’m really curious as to what that will result in later.

Also, why is it so hard for me to get anything other than the “chameleon” strategy? I’m convinced I’m not understanding the choices correctly, but some of the strategies are very similar to one another and sometimes I’m not sure if something is supposed to be sarcastic or not. Anyone else have better luck sorting that out?

I see what the both of you are saying! Okay, this makes it easier for me to plan out the playthroughs I’ll make for the next game. At least now I have a clear idea with regards to the type of effects I wanna get in the end, thanks to you both!

@CS_Closet Wow, that is interesting! Do you remember the major choices you made to achieve that? Like what kind of signs were you showing Lucky? Also, how did you manage to not vote either of them off?

It could be like what @FairyGodfeather said, where you dated BM in the first game and in this game you only tried to be friends with Lucky.

Either way your results certainly sound interesting, what about your various stats including your relationship stats?

@ash10
I’m pretty sure it was all the split voting and non-alliance nonsense choices I was making, and I never chose any of the “only friends” options with Lucky. Also, when given a choice as to which I wanted to go on a date with, I just refused to participate. Then, it was a simple matter of making another split vote between the other two contestants up for elimination. Inevitably, Black Magic does get voted off, but since the PC didn’t vote for them it doesn’t really seem to negatively affect much.

Only thing left to do after that was try to make amends with Lucky when given the option during which they tell you they’ll watch your back. I ended up with an 84 for my Black Magic relationship and 53 for my Lucky one and managed to stay a split 50/50 in my Popular/Underdog stat.

@CS_Closet Oh wow, so I guess in order to get your results the PC will have to be a chameleon, it seems. I’ll try to see if there’s a way to avoid that if I can, since there are so many options to try, which can only be a good thing. By the way what was your ending legend point?
