@Samuel_H_Young Yes. Apologies, I wasn’t implying they were illogical choices. Just that there wouldn’t be a reliable way of telling what future consequences those actions would bring.

No problem. If the reader thought about it DEEPLY, they MIGHT come to a conclusion that the choices effect would last for like 3 books, but I doubt it. However, when the effect happens in book 4 from a choice made in book 1, hindsight will show the reader that it was logical, even though it was latent.
