Hey why was I the third one I’m more evil than omega and abyss and okay I’ll stop talking about evil but it will still be an element in my posts. Personally I thought It was okay to have a little bit of the thread in my posts anyways because of course the game is leaning on the demonic and evil side of CoG games.
So you said that any demon can visit another races place so two questions.
- What activities do you have planned since you mentioned a colliseum in one area?
- How would the general race treat you if you stole a demon soulof their kind?
Hey @BlazedStorm did you ever look at the game red moon rising on the forums you can’t post there anymore but you can still play the demo but until you play that you won’t understand exactly what I’m saying but will your game have close to the same game mechanics also will the game have random events i.e. fights with rival demons, family member accidentally walking in on you and your prey, randomly finding trinkets or lost souls, and or being visited by viska/viskra?, and haveing to fight off guardian angels also can you can you own a stall in the white market or eventually the whole white market and are there certain places or properties in hell ex: fields of punishment, lemashtu’s palace(one of Eve’s sisters, one of the queens of hell, first vampire feasts on the souls of newborn infants) (lovely) or eventually viska’s/viskra’s palace maybe your factions area. Also can you stage a coup to take over another demon’s faction area?

Compounding on Stalker’s idea, if one particular race is always getting tricked into smiling/ opening their hearts, will they then try to attack you or treat you differently if you try to make th smile. Also, what if some races are always depressed. And finally if you make a demon smile and make him your slave, can you tell him to trick other demons into smiling and giving you more power?
First of all o-0 second of all personally I understand what your talking about but I don’t think this is a good idea because then there would be war over who would get eachothers soul and if you haven’t played the beta and read this thread it would be very easy to be absorbed because you thought demon romance was a good idea. Also that world of demons is to bright and cheery for me every demon trying to be very lovey dovey so they can steal eachothers soul that would be and interesting world to play in but I don’t think that’s the way Mr.Storm meant for this game to go but it won’t stop me from loving the game.
Imagine the soul being locked up inside a cage, and the mortal body being the guard that protects those cage. How would you get to the soul? The easiest way would be to be gain affection from the guard to let you in. However, this isn’t the only way. You could persuade or blackmail the guard. You could sneak past the defences and pick your way through. You could be forceful and make the guard open the cage through fear, or tear the bars open yourself. There are many ways you can gain access to the soul.
However, demons are different. They have no mortal shell, and so have no guard protecting the cage. Therefore, you can’t be all loving to the guard to get in, nor could you be persuasive as demons won’t listen. However, you can slowly pick away at a demon like picking the lock of the cage, or forcefully barge your way in. See the difference?
As for the faction kind of thing, that is a possibility. I will see to adding some sort of race mutual dynamic when I can

When you say tear the bars open yourself are you implying that we will be able to kill humans and on that note can we abduct those people also what is your stance on angry souls not corrupted but plain old malevolent like in the grudge.
I thought he meant that we could have a kind of mental battle with them, not literally killing them. However a kinda life-after-death thing could be used, like the idea that the body is just a shell and the soul can go into (a vulnerable) immortal limbo. Or i could be wrong and if so, get the UFO and abduct some people!
@Fairlyfairfighter has the right idea. The cage was simply an analogy to help express the various ways of gaining access to the soul. Ways in which you can force your way in would be through physical and mental harm, kind of like beating up a guard either mentally or physically and then smashing open the cage.
I think @Generikb you have been mislead. You are not abducting the people themselves, but rather absorbing their soul and consciousness (or collective conscience if you wish to think of it that way). Their bodies will still remain in an everlasting trance, and will need to be either maintained, used, controlled or disposed of in the right way to avoid suspicion. If you were planning on taking the soul of a family, yet you let a member’s body simply perish, I’m sure you’ll struggle to get the souls of the others as they wouldn’t trust some stranger when a killer is about.
When you take a soul, even more complications arise. You are creating a new cage within yourself where this soul now resides, and you have become its guard. As you gather more and more souls, the pressure will increase. You are essentially creating a prison within yourself, all of which would need to be controlled and watched. If a soul does not like where it is, it would want to escape. The more you have, the more there is to keep up with. You need to either petrify the souls to stay where they are, making it a living nightmare for them, or form an unnatural paradise from which they wish not to escape. Letting them discover the true events which have conspired could lead to an uprising from within yourself. Remember, you have trapped these souls in your own soul. If they break out violently, they can break you too. As this is your own reality, you can enter your own soul and interact with the souls of others you take. This allows you to either discover more, monitor the souls carefully, or just mess around and have fun in a spiritual realm.
Even more complications arise when you absorb a demon soul. Demons know about demons, and so if they abhor you and find a way to interact with the mortal souls you’ve consumed, you can imagine the chaos that will emerge.
One good thing to note, is that the longer a soul resides within yourself, the more their willpower decreases. You could think of it as a prison I guess: The longer the time, the more you believe you’re not getting out. If you get nice things, then it might make you like the place, but it could also increase the thought of actually being free one day and so could increase the mortal’s will. Make it a nightmare and you could break someone’s will power drastically, but will make them want to escape even more. If their will power is too low, you may find them just giving up the thought of freedom.
But please do not get confused: When you take a soul, they do not instantly know what is going on. They will be confused, and make resist, but they will not understand. What makes them doubt your ‘realm’ being real depends on what you do on the outside. If you come into contact with an object or Human that has emotional ties to one of your captured souls, then an emotion is going to flare within that soul and so will their suspicions. Naturally, they will be attracted to the familiarity. Therefore, it is a good idea to get to know as much as you can about a Human before taking their souls, as you don’t want to end up destroying yourself from the inside because you did not plan ahead.
So yes, souls come with complications, and I’m sure that I will continue to find more as I re-read my own theories and ideas. If you have anymore questions then please ask. I know that it is becoming rather confusing, and so I would be happy to explain it easier if you desire.

If a demon gets emotion like you said it could in the upper comments does it then become a guard to its soul.
