Slammed! (Spoilers)

@AiEme Wait… You can… Die? Wow. my first ending was to beef it out with JJ, I then replayed it so that I could beat the snot out of prototype as a female character. I did have the issue with one thing in the game, at the beginning when you choose sexuality it says you can be homosexual but that your character doesn’t have to be, i tried this on my second play through but it really didn’t mean much at all considering it has all the same romance options, or am I missing something?

@Highduke Oh, that just adds to your kayfabe stat, in addition to setting your orientation. It wasnt really to add anything to the story, although it does foreshadow the angle with Madison if youre a homosexual male, and do the kayfabe face route…

Id also like to add that my favorite choice in the game is “Actually, I was just hungry, but he doesn’t need to know that.” Lol

@Highduke No I didn’t die but it gave me a pretty bad injury. Out of the three options I chose to go through intense rehab and kick Prototype’s ass, which you don’t actually get to see, but it still gave me closure. I actually enjoyed that ending as much as the one where you wrestle JJ.

@Chikiamco Ohhhhhhh, thanks for clarifying that.

@FairyGodfeather What happens differently between you and JJ if you retire?

@Marajade I’m absolutely clueless about Wrestling. I’ve never watched a single match. I can name one wrestler, The Rock and I suspect he doesn’t even wrestle anymore. I can tell you absolutely nothing about wrestling. I loved Slammed! Not because it was about wrestling, since I still have absolutely no interest in wrestling, but because it was extremely well written, I enjoyed the story, and I liked the characters. Wrestling though, meh. As good as it was it didn’t convert me. I doubt I’ll ever play another game about wrestling.

@Chikiamco Oh! I didn’t realise it was only available to female characters, or I somehow forgot. That’s awesome and makes it even sweeter. He so deserves to be punched, especially after what he does to JJ. He’s such a fantastic villain.

@Highduke Sorry probably phrased things wrong. It’s chapters previous to the ending, just after the moment when JJ doublecrosses you and you’re ousted from wrestling. During the ‘retirement’ where you can pick to return to wrestling as Cross, where you can go home, or you can get a job in a call-centre or something, you should choose to go home.

If you don’t, then your stuff with JJ will finish right after your fight. If you do, and you have no love interest, (since the endings with Rio, Ecstasy and both of them take priority) but JJ’s relationship is high enough, then you have a chance at a bonus scene. Depending on if you finish with him as a friend, or if you get the romantic ending, will change your interactions in that scene. But the changes aren’t huge, it’s just the difference of being friends, and being boy/girlfriends. Both endings are good. It’s best if you can also make up with Griss too. Because the best, ultimate ending, in my eyes, is the three of you all friends again, at home.

Tell me guys, do you prefer being a face or hell character ? Always love being a face character, having the crowd cheer for you, just love it :smiley:

@MIGHunter

The funniest part of the game is only accessible if you’re a heel. I prefer being a face generally. But the scenes against JJ, where you’re a heel, are really funny. Especially when you spend some time with his dog.

@HelloThere If you choose to ignore her suspicious behavior in the clinic, and dont discover the rvdx, she is removed from the picture regardless of how nice you are to her.

Who can you romance in the game I can’t seem to find anyone

@Undead

You can romance E. Ecstasy, Madison Rio, both of them at the same time, and JJ. But the payoff for the JJ romance is just at the end.

@MaraJade
I second Fairys comment. As mentioned I know next to nothing about wrestling and still don’t care about it, but the story itself is great. I stumbled during the scenes where you have to actually choose some wrestling moves in order to determine the fight (honestly, I cheated my way through it by picking every option, checking what the result is and proceed from the one I like most in that situation), but aside from that it doesn’t take anything from the story.
For me personally it’s one of the better stories on the page and has definite replay value.

(On a side note, I know two wrestlers: The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan. Though I’m pretty sure both of them retired ages ago :wink: ).

Nah, I’m pretty sure undertaker is still fighting. Many WWE fans would leave if he retired

I for one know a lot of Wrestling, (so excited for RVD’s return.) And I must say this game is marvelous. It’s the most Electrifying Game in Sports Entertainment. Had to say that. It’s a Must Play. Good Work.

@Nasdaxow
Hogan has left the WWE and I am not sure if he wrestles for some other Organization or not but the Undertaker is still wrestling in the WWE. Although he now usually only appears for WrestleMania, he still wrestles now or then and has continued his Streak to 21 - 0.

How do you get Rio to be your manager and initiate a romance with her? I’ve only ever gotten Jaws or Evelyn as my manager.

I’m not sure what triggers it Iggles. I will say though, my favorite ending is playing with a more psychotic character. Hint: You get a “Legend Killer Award” (at least I think you do). Emphasis on killer. After the deed was done, it was hilarious how the character started chanting something about him being the world champion.

@Iggles You never strt out with Rio, but can get her as a new manager in. Chapter 10 :slight_smile: Before your first promo against JJ, you need to decide to stay a face, then decide not to bring up your real life issues with JJ.

@Chikiamco

Ah I see. Thanks.

Played through it once and I really enjoyed it despite not really caring about wrestling in general. Very exciting story and very replayable. Good job to the author.

Why can’t I do a shoot promo to air JJ’s dirty laundry? I wanted to soooooo bad but I couldn’t
