Thanks for the update. I prefer the slow pacing as well. The prose makes it that there’s something about the game, especially with the romance part, that makes me creeped out but curious; a really dangerous combination. It’s either my issues with intimacy (i know the spouse is sweet, but that’s the issue… they’re too sweet), my paranoia, or how awesome this book is. Keep it up!
Anyways, the only thing I could remark with the new update is the numerous mistakes on the pronouns and the correspinding spouse’s name.

I’m so in love with this. Somehow, I know deep down in my heart that I should just leave this be, lest I want to experience any suffering. But my curiosity will kill me either way so 
I love how the relationship feels organic, even though its pre-determined, the scenes and reactions feel pretty natural to me.
And that story with my spouse at the end. Dear goodness, I’m that hamster, aren’t I? I feel like I’m the hamster. Oh gosh, is it bad that I’ve fallen in love with Anthony already?

I’m trying to treat my MC as a sort of redemption for whoever he was in the past. Past MC seems very bitter and cynical…probably a sociopath just like his husband 
so my MC is supposed to be more empathetic, but still very trusting of Anthony. (i chose the option to find comfort in the amnesia, like a new beginning) But I’m sure the baby bird story will completely scare the shit out of my MC and have him being a little wary now 
I think the pacing is fine! I like the contrast between all the sweet moments with the spouse and then those creepy moments.
Also I’m intrigued about Nico… and feel like there’s more to him than Anthony said. Will the MC have the chance to contact Nico if things go south with their spouse? Seems to me like he’s their possible way out.
And as for the chapter two ending… you already know how I feel about that

chapter 2 ending got me like
i know its fucked up but the spouse is like, eight and i have a friend who said she used to squeeze her neighbor’s baby chicks to death because they’re just too cute? am i too forgiving or???
caught this error (mc last name is hudson)
i went code diving but stopped reading because i dont want to be spoiled…
my mc is confused and forgetful, god help him. the amnesia doesnt help and he forgot to get parsley from the garden and instead took all the vegetables he could. he thinks the past is in the past but still wish to get his memory back to reflect and learn from them. liked anthony enough but thinks the pet names are bit too much
i like the pacing but…maybe add glossary to stat screen…i had difficulties especially with medical terms even though i have medical background myself, maybe its because im not an english native speaker

They were five, and objectively, it’s a fairly common behaviour for children that age. Even relatively less cruel, considering the fact that a lot of kids torture inscets and animals for fun.
Oh, I thought people wouldn’t care to know and just label it “medical jargon” and move on because it doesn’t really contribute to the story lol.

Five year olds have only the haziest understanding of death and its finality. Odds are she just didn’t really grasp that the bird was a fragile living thing in her struggle to keep her mom from taking it away. Although I suppose it’s also possible she saw the bird more as a possession and intentionally destroyed it rather than allow someone else to take it away. That would require an understanding of her ability to kill/destroy it which is unlikely the first time for a five year old.
The eight year old who repeatedly murders baby chicks is another thing entirely but not all children start out with much in the way of empathy. Many develop it later however, or at least take no enjoyment from harming animals.
I draw the line at bugs though, they’re fair game…

GAAAAAH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! The spouse is so damned creepy and lovely all at the same time…I super dig it. 
Below is my current theory on what’s going on…there are definite plot holes (in MY theory) but yeah, here are my thoughts:
Does anyone else think that Anthony is actually Nico? Like Nico fell for you in prison, and *did become a family friend of yours after he got out…enough so, that he came to know yours and Anthony’s relationship/stories enough where he could get rid of Anthony and somehow mess you up enough to give you amnesia and assume the role of Anthony whenever you awaken? And every time you figure it out he has to do something (I haven’t worked that out yet) to give you amnesia again (and sort of “greedily” start over) because you are his and he HAS to have you??? Also the cat hated Nico and the cat is no longer around, and “recovering” in the middle of nowhere sounds like hiding from the law to me, soooooo this is my current guess. Which will likely change w each update.
Anyway, THIS IS SO WELL WRITTEN. And I gotta say, even with this theory I am still gonna smooch Anthony/get a sexy bath every damned chance I gettttt

Usually, I’m more of a lurker, but I’m loving this WIP so much I felt the need to comment. The way chapter 2 ended sent chills down my spine.
So, I have a guess about MC’s past.
The MC was a serial killer and the spouse was an accomplice, right? The way they say they were sure to be dammed to hell implies they did some pretty bad things. The label for the “Misc.” hidden achievement does give that impression, among other things.
The way they describe the memory of the accident like they were running from someone, at first, I thought it was from the spouse, but now I am fairly certain it was from law enforcement or something like that.
