I didn’t want to vote for the second poll, because it honestly depends on your plans for the plot. Are there any arcs that are long but don’t take up the whole story? Because if there are acrs that last a good chunk, they’d be great candidates for splitting the story up. You know, the “London arc” or the “going on an adventure arc” that kind of thing.
Anna_B, thank you for the good question.
Short answer, yes. There are many plots and subplots and I can definitely think of ways to divide them up.
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
Long answer with a minimum of spoilers yes, to summarize some of the possible plots:
-Dealing with the matter of succession and dominion of the family’s towers.
-Finding and sorting prospects for the prot, her sisters, and her friends.
-Dealing with the Wanderflames, the secrets of the past, and fullout thereof.
-Rescuing and recovering the prots father.
-Dealing with one of the two main villians, their games, and the fallout.
-Dealing with a dark secret the prot and her sisters carry and the implications, fallout, and resolution of that.
-Dealijg with the fey
-Dealing with the local lycanthropes.
-Dealing with the duke, his sisters, and his family.
-Dealing with the bandits.
-Dealing with a certain thief and a thief taker that might be just as bad as the thief in some ways.
-Dealing with the Whiserie family curse.
-Possible plots dealing with french agents and regimented soldiers.
-Dealing with various love triangles and other matters.
-Dealing with mechanications of the prots grandfather and grandmother.
-Dealing wtih the ruins and the beings that dwell within.
-Dealing with matters of the other world, other worlds beyond that, the secret of the start of all magic, and perhaps a little time travel ditty somewhere in there.
-Other random plots, such as dealing with pirates, barbarians, arthurian side plots, etc.
Certainly a lot of matters to deal with . . . some of these are unavoidable, some are choice dependent.
If I were to summarize it into three books, I think it would be something along these lines for the nearly unavoidable plots:
Book 1: Dealing with intra-tower and family dramma, initial selection of a romantic interest, hints of future conflict, start of processing dominion of the tower, dealing with initial plots of villian for book 1, and various choice dependent subplots - probably with culmination at some regency gathering local, not sure which yet.
Book 2: Resolution of intra-tower dominion problem, oportunity to save prots father or not, dealing with fallout of having dominion or not having dominion, furtherance of romance plot from book 1 with at least 1 problem, introduction of a new romantic interest and certainly at least 1 romantic rival or general rival, possible love triangles or other conflicts leading up to conclusion and ultimite decision between RI 1 and RI 2 or not. Start of inter-tower problems and then, with out to many spoilers, dealing with a huge family problem which involves a dark secret of the prot and her sisters.
Book 3: Starts with dealing with inter-tower and intra-tower problems, heightening of tension, and ultimitely dealing with matters of resolving the sister plot which will possibly lead to epic conclusion.
Tons of other side plots to deal with, such as the issues with thralls, necromancy, the fey, etc. but most of those can be either actively pursued or just left to kind of fall where they well, up to a point.
End SPOILERS End SPOILERS End SPOILERS End SPOILERS
Sorry for the rather lengthy spoiler filled answer, but I hope that helps for anyone that wants to vote on that matter. Thank you again for the question.
Hmm, given that I do think 3 books would be good.
Leaning towards that, though we shall see where the poll goes.
********************** UPDATE AWAY!!! *********************************
At long last, I have posted an update. As mentioned previously, I have decided to split the romance update into two updates, as I felt it was past due since we had an update to the game, and there was no way I was going to be able to finish the romance update anywhere near on time.
This update mostly deals with chapter 6, where the prot can meet and potentially talk to a good number of the potential romantic options. One of my goals on making this chapter was to give an immersive experience of walking around a party and being new to that experience; I feel like I have a good start to this, but there are a whole lot of bells and whistles I want to add yet. Eventually, I hope and want there to be dancing, food, drink, party games, gossip, fan waving - you name it. Simply stated, not there yet, but its a good beginning, I hope. In addition to the chapter 6 content, I have now added in a new chapter 7 (only the very beginning available so far) and moved all later chapters numerically up one. There is also a short scene added to chapter 4 and a few other odds and ends, though I didn’t really have time to do more just yet.
I should warn that some of the NPCs have some cringe worthy moments; there is definitely a bit more innuendo at times, though I’d still label it overall as clean regency and sword & sorcery. For those interested, I am thinking on adding in more non-binary options, though haven’t been able to do that yet.
There probably also are some bugs and known issues (such as better differentiating blood lineage for prot between aunt and uncle characters). Sorry, just haven’t had time to adequately deal with those either. Hoping next update will give me time to polish and fix a few things.
Really hoping the update is enjoyable and that with the next update in about 2 months I succeed at adding the romance that was voted for. Hoping to continue expanding for NPCs those were most interested in via poll info and add scenes for those that I hadn’t been able to yet. Also, hoping to expand later game areas for some of the locals polled for.
******************** **Poll Results ** **************************************************
For future locals in the game, most interest was expressed for a Masquerade, a Ball, and the city location of Bath. Eventually hoping to have all the locations added in one form or another, but as I jump around in my writing, I will focus on the most polled for locations first. For fans of the other locations, fear not- they will eventually be added to, though may be a while.
Perhaps not surprisingly Moderate sized chapters won by a landslide, which I will then endeavor to try for in future chapters, with caveats that some sandboxy chapters are naturally going to be longer than others, and there may occasionally be a shorter chapter if its called.
Lastly regarding the polls and perhaps most importantly, polls indicate most feel 3 game books would best encapsulate the story, and that’s kind of my thoughts too. Which is good, in a way, as it means the game is a whole lot closer to the first game book being completed and ready for submision than it would otherwise (though at my speed, we are at least still a year to probably two years a way, but hey, that is a lot faster than it would be otherwise). Kind of excited for that, as I am eager to see the process for submission and to hopefully see the game make the cut and be actually released, and this will give me a better gauge of wider interest in the project.
********* **Apologies and Gratitude ** ********************
Lastly, as always, just a major thanks to everyone that has stuck with the game, and my appologies for the slow pace. Real world life can be challenging - usually try not to delve into it to much, but I think people deserve expanations for why it takes so long. As some of you know, I have a family member with increasing care needs. Unfortunutly, really the only other family capable of helping in this have not been able to for reasons I can’t delve into. Added to that has been an increasingly stress inducing day job . . . while I realize life is hard and we all have our crosses, what this all translates into is a major energy and time bleed on what I would give into my game projects. Some days it just isn’t possible to get any progress done. I fully believe in these games and want to see them happen, but at present it is challenging to get them going forward at times.
In any event, thank you for reading and playing. My goal is two months for the next update which I hope will actualize the pledge for more romance in the game and help resolve some of the current bugs and issues.
And we have another update released, albeit a smaller and more chaotic update. I shall work on Sense & Sorcery content for a few more weeks up to possibly one more month before turning over to work on my other presented project, Dice & Dungeon Masters for a while, so anticipate one last update before the break to come in a few more weeks - that said, I think I will fall far short of some of my goals with these current romance updates, but all in all these updates have greatly expanded the story of the game and set up strong footholds for future updates and in particular future romance updates; to those that wanted more, my apologies and a polite reminder that these things take a lot of time.
As for the current update today, what is there? Well, some additional content for Lady Sarah Swein, an intro to a non-binary romantic option, expansion on the peasant npc encountered during travels, an introduction to a new ro and rival, and great expansion into the history of the Wanderflames. There are also a couple small forays into the alt. start mini-games, though once more these are spoiler heavy, so only try them if you don’t mind that.
Now, trying to go for npc speicifc content as recommended by prior vote, anticipate, hopefully, more content for the Duke in the last update before break, also more for Gleheir the fey man, and probably hopefully Mr. Northwood and also a certain thief taker . . . may try for some of the others, but probably won’t have sufficient time for the rest on the next update. As a bit of an aside generated via various forum background chatter, it should be noted that none of these will be the complete romance - obviously this is still an alpha and a demo, though we are getting a lot closer. I’d say we are maybe . . . early mid-game for the first book, by the end of the current update. As this is not an adult romance game and there is a still a lot more story to come, it wouldn’t make sense to conclude any of the romances just yet . . . it would be kind of like an Austen heroine getting married a third of the way through one of her works, or one of the Bridgerton sisters eloping on the third episode of the series . . . just doesn’t work. My apologies to those that wish it were otherwise; I strongly hope and think the game is still very enjoyable despite that, the story strong and multi-faceted.
In any event, enjoy, and hopefully I will have the last update coming along in hand in a few more weeks, after which D&D update work will commence. After that work is complete, I will probably take a short break, to regenerate and then give some other projects some love and attention, and then come back to this game - unless it seems player wishes are contrary, I will then likely continue working on this game until game book 1 is ready to present for hopeful publication, probably starting with the next update after break being either late fall or early winter . . . though again my time tables are anything but solid.
Before ending this note, I did want to post a couple more quick polls. When the game is better ready, I of course want to see it published, but I wonder where it would best be published as. Hosted Games is the most likely candidate, though there is a bit of romance, and likely will be more by the end of it, so perhaps Hearts Choice might be a possibility as well? Thirdly, failing COG being interested, it is possible the game could be published independently, though this would probably take my recoding it all in twine which would be a pain to say the least.
Where do you think this game as currently projected would best fit?
- Hosted Games
- Hearts Choice
- Some Other Venue
Secondly, while I think this will be less of an issue for this game then some of my other projects, COG only requires that submitted games be active in the forum I believe a month or two. While this forum thread presents good feedback oportunities and I enjoy that, they can be difficult to maintain during periods of inactivity between projects. As I eventually mean to land back on making S&S my first effort to the finish line of getting a game book published, I wanted to check if players felt they needed a thread to keep up with the game? If I should drop the thread maintance I could still post it to the top of Dashingdon upon update and post something on my Threads account and I imagine those that are interested occasionally check back on the game.
Do you feel a forum post is neccesary for keeping up with the game?
- Yes - maintain forum thread for this game always
- No - people can still keep up with the game in other ways
P.S. Sadly didn’t get to the location sections I thought I would and to be honest I probably won’t with the next update, but I will keep the poll results in mind as the game continues to be worked on and new sections and locations are added to the story . . . sorry its taking a while to get to some of the stuff I am excited to present!
Not sure if this has been answered, but is the cheats staying or going? I’m a bad loser lol, so these features often dictates whether or not I invest time in games.
The only way I keep up to date with WIPs is the forum. If an author posts something about the project on a different platform but not the forum, I don’t know about it. So I definitely prefer when authors use the forum as the primary source (or equal source) of information, since they already need to be on here for their demo
Heart’s Choice games are commissioned before the game is written and edited throughout so it would be very unlikely for a completed game that hadn’t been edited by them to be released. Hosted Games is the one to go for once your game is complete
I think it’s best to keep it open, yes. It means you can keep people updated easily and players can give feedback in a central place.
Denzil_Melgior_Nagel, I plan to keep and perhaps even expand the cheat options up until the game is to be published, at which point I would probably defer to the publisher on that feature. Not sure how difficult these things are as I am very much a noob at the whole business, but I’d imagine if the game ever makes it to steam, probably I’d prefer achievements would be disallowed if a player uses a cheat, but thats way down the road from where I am now.
Anna_B, thank you for the feedback. Yes, this seems to be the consensus. For this game I don’t think that will be an issue, as with the linear stories, webcomic, and the alt starts I have more than enough content to keep the thread active between major updates, though for my other projects this may be more of a concern. But yes, as long as there isn’t some huge life event, I shall intend to keep this thread open to the best of my abilities until the game is published one way or another.
HarrisPS, thank you for the information. I really appreciate it! Yeah, I need to study up on the whole process as at some point I really need to read that in depth and better understand it all. Thank you for posting the links. Also, yeah, keeping the forum post alive and going seems to be the consensus, so I’m going to do that.
I decided to close both polls as consensus information was clear - thank you as always to all who voted. As summarized in the above replies, current plan is to try to get this published through hosted games when its ready (though failing that I won’t discount other venues but hosted is my preferred route for many reasons as well.) I will also try to keep this thread alive and going - as this is nearing completion, I think that is doable. Anticipate probably some more drops on linear stories and the webcomic in-between updates, i.e. during the summer to early fall break from this game. After that, as I plan to continue working on this project till completion, it should be easy enough.
Thank you again to everyone who has played and tried my game. Progress continues and I look forward to continuing to share the story of the prot, her sisters and family, and her prospects with all of you.
Code is showing
Ah, how embarassing - thank you for spotting that Gapaot; it shall be all fixed in the next update.
Quick note to everyone, as I noticed a critical problem with conditionals dealing with the duke and his eldest sister’s personalities, I have released a hotfix update to hopefully fix this - haven’t had a ton of time to test it but hoping that should work correctly now and I apologies for any inconsistencies you may have noticed with their personalities so far. As always, please let me know if you notice errors - often when I fix one thing it may break something else somewhere else in the game, sadly . . .
Other than that, progress continues, anticipate last update before pause within a couple more weeks most likely.
I love Alaris she seems very formidable. Such an interesting character
Thank you Frieza, yeah she is indeed formidable. some spoilers While her main game personality is probably more between the two extremes built into the alt start, anticipate her powers being comparable. The prot will need allies if she is to face Alaris. end spoilers
Wow! A Regency era themed book with elements of low fantasy? That’s all I ever wanted out of life - to be able to wear pretty empire waist gowns and cast spells! I think I am the targetiest of the target audience for your game.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get past even the first page.
I apologise in advance if this comment comes across as rude or destructive criticism. I do not wish for it to be either and am suggesting alternatives wherever possible.
Firstly, that AI artwork! It’s great by 2022 standards but AI has come such a long way and can help you create a far more coherent and less messy cover art for your book. I highly recommend Microsoft Copilot, even the free version of which uses Dall E.
Moving on to the typos and grammar. I apologise for the messy screenshots and markups. I’m lazy and find it best to make annotations on the screenshot itself so as to save myself the trouble of matching screenshot to feedback number.
Thee/thine/thou/thy are more Shakespeare than Austen anyway! It doesn’t tonally make sense here.
Do you mean to call young men debutants? Young men never made their debuts the way women did. And a debutante would not be described as dashing, I think. Dazzling or delightful might make more sense if you are attached to the idea of being alliterative here.
Then comes this paragraph:
I know you have taken a somewhat playful approach towards grammar, and while that makes sense in some cases (saying ‘only you and your chum - hey that’s the other you! -’ looks better than saying ‘only your chum - hey that’s the other you! - and you’, I guess), in a lot of other cases, it severely lowers readability. Even if you wish to be completely irreverent, you still have to use apostrophes correctly! I mean, you don’t have to do anything, but it would be highly appreciated if you did.
I have included the feedback in the screenshot itself. But overall, I do believe that this text would benefit from simply being edited once after running a spelling and grammar check in MS Word.
That’s all my feedback! Once again, I apologise if I come across as harsh. Perhaps it’s because I got extra excited after seeing the genre. But I also know that gender locked books generally don’t seem to do so well and I want you to maximise your audience.
All the best on your writing! 🩷
Hello HappyPotato, thanks for giving my game a try and the advice on the first page.
Yes, as noted, I believe language is fluid, grammar is always changing, and anyone who thinks otherwise isn’t paying attention. I think way higher in the thread I may have discussed this a bit, but as it’s been a while, I’ll summarize it a little for everyone, though I would like to add and emphasize that this aspect of grammar is most likely a spectrum - for myself I like to think of language as fluid and a creative, poetic place. However, for grammar purists (and I have known a few!), I realize that seeing what can be supposed to be bad grammar can be a bit like a slap to the face; so, my sympathy and apologies to those that are feeling that.
In regard to the questions on grammar and my writing, I’d probably break it down into two main sections: unintentional grammar errors and intentional or creative instances of grammar usage. I definitely want to hear about unintentional grammar errors - things like a missing apostrophe are exact instances of this, and I appreciate those being brought to my attention. Obvious unintentional typos as well, and, straying a bit from grammar but still strongly relevant, the matter of bugs - yes, these are all things I do please want pointed out to me so I can fix them. However, instances where I am perhaps being creative or poetic with language, such as the use of ellipses, semi-colons, hyphens, colons, etc., in general tools for pacing, I’d kindly ask not to be informed about as I probably put them there for a reason. I realize that sometimes it might be difficult to tell which is which, but for feedback that is my preferences.
Going further into feedback: If you feel that the feedback is something that will benefit the group discussion, yes, go ahead and post it here. However, please also feel free to shoot me an email or message on here instead if you believe that may be a more appropriate forum for feedback than the actual, ah hmmm, forum.
Now, probably more central to the main theme of your message HappyPotato, is the matter of editing. While I do thankfully have an amazing editor I am working with on my other presented game Dice & Dungeon Masters, an editor that I feel does a great job and that is on the same page as me regarding my writing, I have found that having editing occurring while working on a text based game in editing really does slow down and disrupt the process of actually creating the game. For this reason, there will not be any professional or even semi-professional editing on Sense & Sorcery until the game is much further along than at present. Also, for myself at least, Word is not a viable solution due to formatting issues; Choice Script is extremely picky with white spaces and Word is very aggressive with formatting . . . they would not be a great team. However, the good news is that I did recently add CSIDE, a Choice Script specific design program, which does have a spell check function. Now, the game is absolutely massive - truly massive - even longer than Lives of the Star Child, my prior longest work. So, it takes time to go through and fix spelling errors. That stated, I am slowly going through and doing tons of spelling and bug fixes each update; it may take a while to notice this, as admittedly there are a lot, but I think little by little the look and feel of the game will improve.
Regarding the art . . . well, it probably looks like 2022 AI artwork because it is - just the cover picture. Everything else I created myself. My goal is to eventually do a new sample of cover art, probably crafted by myself, but that will take a back seat for now as I just have to much else going on to bother with that at present.
In conclusion I kindly thank everyone that has given my game a try and especially appreciate those that have stuck with it despite the grammar faux pas and other limitations. Obviously, until the game is published, this game is a free service. People may give it a try. They also might not. I work very long hours, I have caregiver duties for a family member, and my eyesight is in a declining state, so honestly, I am beyond amazed and enthused for the state the game is currently in and all the progress that has gone into it.
The update continues but may be a few days later than expected due to a bout of illness that derailed me for a couple days.
***************************** On the Update(s) ****************************************************
And the update is released, which concludes our current round of updates designed to add more romance to the game as per the poll. While I feel most romanceable NPCs have had some content added, I do note again that none of these romance paths are complete at this time, nor have all NPCs had content added with these updates - there are a few noteworthy NPCs that I just didn’t have time and energy to reach with these updates. In a future update hopefully they will get their due. Though top four voted for, however, have what I feel is significant progress on their content.
Now, I should note that this last update was more edgy than I intended . . . still all clean regency, but there were a few scenes that I felt had triggerable content portions. Obviously read safely and responsibly. I think in a future update I shall endeavor to balance out the edgy content with at least some additional cozy, lighter content - but for now, some of it is out of balance. Not that it was all gloom and doom - to be honest some of my personal favorite bits were the lighter stuff.
Also, I am sorry to say chapter 8, where this last batch of new content was added, is turning out to be another rather lengthy chapter - if I could stop that chapter where it is now, it would probably be of the voted for size, but unless I add another new chapter in-between chapter 8 and the current chapter 9, that just isn’t going to work. I am definitely going to endeavor to have some of the future chapters be a bit shorter, though some by necessity will have to be longer.
Also, there may be some new logical inconsistencies relating to the new content. Some of the scenes used a ton of variables and these variables will need to be referenced in latter chapters to make things flow appropriately so that the causality of the story isn’t broken - in short, expect some things that don’t add up going past chapter 8 for now. Once more will endeavor to get that fixed up in a future update.
Lastly, I shall note that this final update before the pause was a bit of a tough one for me. There was a hard push at the end and probably a bit more errors - both in terms of bugs and typos - than I would have liked, but I think it is still very playable with some acceptance that these can and do exist. Most bugs are not game breaking and usually the main jest can still be inferred despite typos.
*********************** **Going Forward ***********************************
In the near term, on addressing between all my various projects, here are my plans.
As discussed previously, Sense & Sorcery will be paused for a while. The pause, barring some major life changing event, will be temporary, as I feel the project is moving ever closer to being finished (though it still has a loooong way to go!), and I am excited with its progress and eager to share more of the story with everyone. I am not 100% sure, but probably we shall return to S&S late to mid fall, possibly in the winter of this year.
In the meantime, what shall I be working on? Well, there probably will be a very brief break as working on this has been a ton of screen time, and I feel like some sort of weird text-based video game making lich at this point. There are a lot of real world things that need my attention and care, and honestly to much screen time just makes me feel so unhealthy after a while. This break shall be very brief, however.
After that break, I shall review some editing from the late winter/early spring for Dice & Dungeon Masters . . . after hopefully reviewing that sufficiently and getting the final agreement with the editor, there will be an editing update for that game. And then I shall be working on new content for that game. People have made it clear that they are most looking forward to the game within the game, i.e. actually playing D&D with their character in the game, so I shall be probably prioritizing that content over all else. Once that has been suitably done, there will be an update, perhaps a couple, before that game goes on pause for a while.
After that, assuming it hasn’t gotten to late in the year, I shall probably take another brief break, followed by perhaps some work on some of my other projects waiting in the wings, i.e The Ice King’s Call, Lives of the Star Child , and Super Sorority, amongst others. Probably smaller updates on these, though at some point I am hoping to get them forum worthy and adequately presented on here . . . ah, someday, someday!
Now, to keep this particular thread going and to make progress on *Sense & Sorcery * even while it is on pause, expect a few things:
-More polls, along as people don’t get to sick of them. These do give helpful information as sometimes I think a bit differently than the group consensus, so yes, anticipate those.
-More linear stories: I have two that need to be finished but haven’t had time to reach. Original goal was to write seven stories, though lately I am thinking of making more as I think they help flesh in the possibilities of the world of this sword & sorcery regency mash up in a fun way.
-Progress on the Alt Starts: These are designed to be smaller versions of the game exhibiting a different persepctive on the events in the main story. Probably don’t anticipate a ton of content, but so far I am happy for these as well and intend to continue them.
-More and new art: While I probably won’t go crazy with it, there’s a good amount of art I’d like to add to the main game and the linear stories. Haven’t really had the time to work on art recently though, so it will take some time before there will be content this way. This leads to the webcomic . . . next part of the story is very written, but doing the art will need to wait until I have suitable time to work on that. Hopefully sometime over the next five or so months though . . .
************************ *Polls *********************************************************
Figured I’d end this post with a couple polls.
First one is fairly simple and self-explanatory: Which non-romanceable character would you most like more content for?
- Ravana
- Morgan
- Glea
- Stara
- Sophia
- Mera
- Alaris
- Prot’s Father
- Prot’s Mother
- Prot’s Uncle
- Prot’s Aunt
- Farmer living at edge of Prot’s land
- Asylum’s gate keeper
In the Introduction to Society Chapter I had the free roam portion end when the player selected to do so. My original thoughts was to have the free roam automatically end after a certain number of actions or simulated time was spent, but it takes a bit more coding and i just failed to have it in me to do that this time around. However, it currently plays pretty smoothly and allows for players to do more, but it seems less realistic and gives the player more control than was intended. Would people like me to leave the scene as is where the free roam ends when selected, or ought it end when the prot has spent a certain amount of turns or spent enough simulated time?
- Keep as is - free roam should end when player selects it
- Change it - free roam should end after a certain number of turns or time spent
- Make it an option that can be selected by the player for one or the other
Lastly, there are obviously huge swaths of the game that need to be worked on yet. Excluding romance this time around (and fear not, that will continue to be worked on expanded regardlessly) which sections would players most like me to work on?
Note: I’m going to add combat to this poll, but this will be a simplified combat. The intended combat section will someday be added (at least that’s the plan) but from even doing the simple dagger tossing mini game I can see that it will probably take literal days to actual weeks to finish that section, and life is just to busy and hectic right now for me to afford to work on that yet.
- Clothing and Fashion
- Combat (Simplified Variant)
- Fill in Some of the Incomplete Sections
- Fix Bugs
- Fix Logical Inconsistencies
- Spells and Magic
- Spirit; i.e. Expand on dealing player/prot/spirit interactions
- Religion (expand on what is already there and add more scenes)
- Travel (actually get the travel section working properly and fully)
More polls and other items to posted about eventually; I’ll probably let these run for a while.
I hope the update is enjoyable and I am very grateful for all that have given my game a fair try.
Think I’ll let the polls from the prior post go a bit longer to give more people a chance to vote, but here are a few more polls:
Of the following story qualities, which do you think is currently most deficient and in need of more content/emphasis?
- Action
- Cozy elements
- Drama
- Fantasy & Mythological elements
- Historical elements
- Regency elements
- Romantic elements
- Sword & Sorcery elements
As compared to other similiar story books, I feel that Sense & Sorcery . . .
- Has a large amount of choice and multiple path elements
- Has a standard amount of choice and multiple path elements
- Doesn’t have enough choices and I often feel like I am rail roaded
If more romantic options are added for the current game book, I would most like there to be more . . .
- female romantic interests
- male romantic interests
- non binary romantic interests
A recent element I’ve added to the game is small alternate start story lines showing parts of the story from the perspective of a different protaganist. If I were to add more of these, which of these characters would you most like to have as a protaganist for an additional alternative start story line?
- Father
- Mother
- Ravana
- Morgan
- Stara
- Sophia
- Mera
- Lady Whiserie
- The Thief-Taker
Once more, a caveat that while I will definitely take feedback from the posts to help formulate my game, I do not take them as completely binding, though obviously I want to make a game people want to play.
Thank you to those that have voted and those that have tried my game. Honestly bit sad to be on break from the game for a bit, but hopefully it will lead to a strong continuation in a few months.
Hi, my saves aren’t working. When I load the save, the game just freezes. I don’t know what causes that. I saved on the “safe save” page, so maybe it has to do with that?
