Samurai of Hyuga Book 3 (Patreon/Early Access info on Post 1297!)

I must admit to being slightly disappointed at not getting any bonuses for ‘Sanjuro’ or even ‘Kuwabatake’ or ‘Tsubaki’.

Upon later reflection, I found it actually somewhat fitting for him to remain an unknown after all.

awwww still cool to know though! XD i did still manage to make everything mostly blue except for chivalrous… Kinda prefer the perverted ronin and stoic combination hahaha XD

You legend  Not enough people know the epic tale of Sanjuro! Tsubaki is included by the way, as a lady’s name.

So it is! I must’ve missed it.

Kohaku is RO or it’s only toshio and jun ?

I didn’t know that, I’ll be sticking with the names I picked but it’s still pretty cool to know.

Brutal Ronin + Wild Boar is the best Ronin, IMHO.

It is hard to maintain 100% attunement, when I did it I was very pleased:

I like playing a Stoic, Calculated, Brutal Ronin. I don’t know why, but that combination gets me. Maybe it’s the contrast between the stony facade and the writhing, bloodthirsty demon underneath? Maybe I just really like making an archetypical badass? Who knows.

At the end to the book 3

Spoilers

I separate myself from the group and toshio . Is possible to change that ?

No you can’t. That’s just how the ending is for book 3

Impulsive / Charming / Brutal all the way!

My main Ronin is impulsive/chivalrous/charming/protective/finesse, I like having the impulsive/finesse combo. Like in every day interactions shes really impatient and doesn’t really think before acting because she doesn’t know how to. But then when she gets into combat she becomes calm because she knows combat, shes always known violence.
And the chivalrous/charming/protective parts of her are the parts that want to be like that in everyday situations, they want to be as calm and collected as she is in battle. They want her to be able to have normal relationships with people.
The ending to this book really hurts.

Please put spolier tag, just highlight the sentence with the spoiler in it and go to gear icon your message menu. See screenshot below:

How to use Spolier Tag

In terms of Kohaku being a RO, there’s no definite indication if they are or not. The ending is really heart wrenching for me but it’s time for our Ronin to do some soul searching. XD

@Urban Perhaps but I don’t know if I could handle it xD

I know from personal experience that what most people greatly appreciate - and in many cases expect you to do - in situations like this is to edit your earlier comment and add spoiler tags to it.

Hello! I’ve been following and played SoH since book 1 came out and FINALLY mustered up the courage to make a cog account & wanted to say I’ve finished playing SoH 3 and I loved every second of it! Thank you for creating this wonderful and heart-wrenching game<3 I love all the new characters introduced. Especially ige but he was so short lived that I had to put down the game after I finished it and listen to some angsty songs(coz I like to hear them when I’m sad _(x’D )

Also, has anyone tried to date everyone, or just have one nights stands with all the ROs before committing to Toshio? Would that leave consequences for the ronin? I’d like to try it myself but I still haven’t done getting over with book 3’s ending x’D

Sorry for the wall of text. Can’t wait for the next book to come out(°∀°)b

Replaying book 2 and meeting Ige in the backstage of the kabuki theatre.

I really didn’t try it because my Ronin is quite chivalrous and don’t sleep with anyone she met (and it’s against my principle so there will less likely chance that I will start any polyromance part in the future) but I seem to recall something about this but I am not sure if Devon stated that there will be consequences in the future.

I thought my MC was committed to Momoko. Didn’t foresee the happy ending with Tosh coming up will make my MC committed to her instead.

My Ronin actually had a negative relationship with Toshie prior to the Baron incident. Seeing her torturing herself to stay sane in book 2 was painful, but I didn’t think trying to be supportive towards her and being successful at solving mysteries - an, uh… interesting turn-on, to say the least - would be enough to get her to fall for the Ronin when they’d been at each other’s throats beforehand.
