I didn’t know Book 2 had multiple endings outside the Count’s manor. What happens in this Bad Ending?
Oh, no. I was referring to the wrath ending in Book 1 there.
I guess there are some differences, though I haven’t taken note of any big ones.
It doesn’t really answer your question, but this is one of those that I kind of re-read purely for fun. I liked the pacing a lot.
My main criticism of the game tbh. It makes sense for the pervy MC who likes women, but for all the rest it feels like a forced mini- “out of character” moment.
Just finished book 2. Love almost everything, but would have liked a more definitive end, since Book 1 ended with the MC killing a spirit. If I remember right, the Emperor had mentioned like 6 spirits, so how many books are you planning to release? Gotta say it is a huge commitment and undertaking, so kudos. I hope you see it all the way through
Also, the romance with Momoko felt a little forced due to the lack of other options. But that may just be coz I’ve wanted Toshie chan to be the RO since Book 1 lol.
It felt forced because you didn’t want to romance her. I wanted to romance her since book 1 and it felt right.
That’s what I’m saying basically. There was no other option.
Doesn’t take away from my enjoyment of the game at all though.
It felt natural to me too. I think I had to take a cold shower after reading that scene.
How many books are you planning to write anyways , good luck and hope you have like 1000 times more patience then what I have …
I like to romance toshie and momoko. Is momoko only romancable in the books right now? Because I can romance her but toshie never happens.
you can only romance momoko right now. there will be other options in the future, if any future books come out
Makes me wonder if there’ll be a Junko option later.
Would love a junko option
I feel like the game is trying to force a romance with Junko. Although I don’t see the character as a viable RO the MC I’m playing seems to automatically do so.
Junko and the MC grew up together in a dysfunctional environment, I see them more as estranged siblings than lovers. Their relationship was probably more sexual than emotional and the two are probably bad for each other. Its one thing to have a ‘bad’ girlfriend/boyfriend that’s a negative influence on you but another to think one would have genuine feelings for a legitimate psycho.
Momoko is… okay but… I don’t think she ‘loves’ the MC as much as she literally throws herself at them with a severe case of dependency. Maybe she’ll get better after being let go. She and Hatch might make a nice couple, maybe, or not, who knows.
@MultipleChoice will our special animal powers be back in the next book? The fight against the serpent demon with the spirit boar was my favorite scene in the first book, I was a little disappointed to not use the invisible tusks and the berserk rage in this book.
The sprit boar is too badass, like when you awaken yours power:
[Wild Boar] “Do me a favor and don’t die too easily!”
Or after you defeat the demon:
“Yes! This power! Men, demons, spirits—you and me sow, we’ll kill them all!”
And another question, will Momoko return in the next book? I think it’s difficult for she to find back, but I really liked her and don’t want to wait for too long for her to come back.
There will definitely be some animal-specific combat sequences in Book 3. I’m also a big fan of the wild boar, so you can expect more badass scenes ahead! I can’t go into details about Momoko (to avoid spoilers), but Book 2 won’t be the last you’ve seen of her.
I cannot wait to fight with chipmunk powers again It’s as hilarious as it is epic.
Also, I cannot wait to see Momoko again! These characters have really grown on me. Except for Jun/ko. They can fly to moon for all I care
I really liked the writing in both book 1 and 2, some parts are so well-written and/or funny that I took screenshots to read them again. And I might have replayed the game a couple of times, I am hopeless.
My MC is a stoic salamander but even he’s going to find it cathartic when Junko finally dies. It seems inevitable for there to only be one adherent for their sword school. I see them as anything but lovers - bitter enemies, respected rivals, step siblings but definitely not lovers.
I found it kinda interesting how you could sleep with Momoko despite being attracted to men, and Toshio doesn’t point that out in the conversation with him.
Maybe he doesn’t know? It’s not like MC goes around, “Hello everyone, I am gay/straight.”
My MC did say to Momoko,"Remind me why I’m supposed to be attracted to this. He looks like a joke. " When talking about Saru- Sa- …Kabuki guy. That’s the only time mine has said anything about his preferance. Also, you can reject Momoko for that reason.
Buuut, MC’s traveling companions might know because of Jun/ko’s gender. Though MC’s preferances are limited to gay and straight, people could be bi, pan… etcetera. So maybe they only have an idea about it.
