I’ve fixed all the bugs which have been thus far reported!
I wasn’t expecting people to make so many compliments about the game itself, I’m really happy you’re enjoying it. Again, a lot of this is stuff which I thought was funny quite some time ago, but I’m glad it’s holding up.
Definitely the buggiest section is the classical music monster truck rally and I’m still trying to pick that one apart a little. If anyone actually gets through that section with the best outcome, I’d love if you could report the path you took!
About that bad ending It’s definitely my favourite ending of the game. It’s really what the game feels like it’s all about, in spirit. And who is to say it’s bad?
For anyone who hasn’t played, do not read. This is a gigaspoiler for the premise of the whole game.
As you may have guessed now from playing it to the ending, the way to get the ‘better’ ending is to avoid doing anything to Len that feels like it’s sexualising or objectifying him. Specifically there is a tally of points for the style of things you say in his romance route chapter which tallies up how much you’re sexualising him and the situation you’re in. If you want a more exact walkthrough I can also give that
I played it all for a few hours straight and holy crap this game is amazing. I didn’t think it was going to hit me so hard, but it ended up shooting me through the stratosphere.
I do have to ask though, how do I achieve the ending where I can get Asterius a physical body to get out of the physical world. My brain is mush trying to figure this out lol
I keep getting “Technobabble line 1270: bad label song title” no matter what I type, was I supposed to type a certain chorus or something? (Sorry I can’t attach a screenshot for some reason…)
Congratulations on completing this amazing WIP. I love the premise of the story; it is unique, and all the characters have their own charm. To be honest, it’s a little hard to reach a good ending; I wish there was a guide. The fact that you worked on this WIP for 8 years shows your dedication, which is awesome! I really want to support you financially because this WIP needs a price tag. So, is this WIP considered complete, or are you planning to officially release it on Hosted Games? If you release it on Hosted Game, I will definitely buy it! Once again, congrats, and I look forward to seeing more projects from you in the future! You’re so talented
Thanks so much for saying this! Yes I’m absolutely planning to do a full release as a hosted game once the forums have helped to test it and I’ve found some more bugs.
I’m not sure exactly what the QA process is or whether I can start submitting it as a complete game right now before it’s been on the forum for a while. I’m basically ready to submit it other than bugfixing.
The bad endings, well, from playing it, I’m sure you can tell it’s by design. I think the one good ending that happens seems very cathartic to me. It feels more ‘true’ than good, if you know what I mean. That being said, I’ll write a guide to the endings perhaps once a few more people have played it. But I definitely think the message of the game is strongest in its bad endings, and intended for the players to almost always see those when first playing.
The password of the spacesuit room is guest after all this time, I can’t actually remember where that is printed in the game.
You can send Len outside without a spacesuit, though.
Proceeding to “fix” the antennae yourself with gum does not progress and/or present any viable options despite numerous attempts, even in light of having fully-repaired/powered the PC. Death scenario ensues following timer expiration.
Only workaround seems to follow if Len has high enough rating overall and can be convinced to fix the antennae himself, usually via romance route with MC. Otherwise, the above repeats itself endlessly.
edit for: can’t seem to get a tangibly reported bug or error aside from the constant loop-back of the issue in question that leads into greyed-out options and the like before of course time expiry
