Will the story focus entirely on your job or will there be scenes in your civilian identity as well? It could be fun to be the type of henchman that is not “on duty” 24/7.

There’ll definitely be a few ‘at home’ scenes.

Did something wrong happen?
I don’t know why your phrasing made me laugh, but I wouldn’t say anything went wrong. I was struggling with variables (still am) so I took a break for a while. Suddenly birthday, birthday, celebration, graduation, holiday, holiday, job interview, and it just got stuck on the back-burner.

Ah, variables can always be a pain. I used to just use notepad, but systems that use colored variables are significantly helpful.
Anyways, I’m glad to see that many others are just as excited for this as I am. Keep up the good work

Hey, I was wondering; is it possible to play as an “under cover cop” type of character? I mean, basically be a hero or a sidekick or something pretending to be a henchman or something.
Ooh! That sounds fun! If we do choose to romance someone, would we be allowed to live with them? Or, in regards to the hero and sidekick, have the love interest be completely clueless to our occupation as an evil hench(wo)man? Because, I had a tiny little fantasy when I thought of dating the hero. I’ll put it below, but I’ll blur it as well, just in case people didn’t look at the tiny spoiler in the game idea.
The hero, coming home all banged up, greets the villainous scientist MC; who was personally responsible for most of the traps that almost killed the hero. The MC frets over their lover, checking their wounds and patching them up to the best of their ability. However, the entire time, they’re looking at the wounds and working backwards to figure out how to make their works much more effective.

Yes and no: For the most part this is just a job for the MC, so they do have a home of their own to return to at the end of the day. Also, I’m planning the hero route to sort of center around the fact that the villain and (maybe sidekick) are the only ones who really know your ‘secret identity’.

this reminds me of a slightly older webcomic “henchmen for hire”

hope it goes well…
@xXOtakuKonekoXx As I was reading your comment, I thought it would be even funnier if both the hencgman/woman and the hero/sidekick were comically oblivious to one another’s secret identity. In short, on a day when the henchman nearly kills the hero with one of their inventions, or something, and they go back home to find their lover half dead on the ground, with the exact same injuries they caused on the hero, and yet somehow think that their lover was just mugged on the way home from work or something, not realizing that they were the cause of the injury. And, likewise, the hero would go back home and get nursed back to health and not even notice that they were nearly killed by the person they are dating! I, personally, think that would be funny. Not saying it should be in the game, don’t get me wrong, I’m just saying that that’s what @xXOtakuKonekoXx’s comment made me think of while I was reading it, and I just kind of like those kinds of comedies sometimes

…I remember reading about a story like that and for the life of me I can’t remember it.

Hell yeah, the stories like these that focus more on the henchmen are great.
Being able to romance another hench would be pretty rad too as long as the character is fleshed out and all that jazz I’m down for whatever.

Henchmen stuff is great, just look at Venture Brothers. I hope this works out well.

I love playing the bad guy that’s on the fence. One day I’m saving a hero, that I almost killed… That’s as far as it’ll get folks.

You know, I just realized we have spoken about having the villain boss as an RO, and the hero, even the sidekick! However, it seems no one has mentioned another henchman as a possible RO, or a henchman from a rival villain boss…

…Not in the way you’re thinking, is all I’m going to say on that.
