It is way too modern. All of it. Jumpsuits and sunglasses as we know them have only been around for about a century. And the concept of going on vacation would have seemed utterly absurd in the Middle Ages.
I mean, summer estates in warmer climates or something were certainly a thing, so I don’t blame the author for not getting all the terminology correct, but this women sounds like some modern rich woman who had to leave her deluxe vacation house because someone was murdered in her main house and made things inconvenient for her.
I’m just imagining her going, “So I’m supposed to meet some people in a few minutes, so… can I go now?”
“Meet people? Ma’am, someone was just murdered in your house.”
“But I didn’t do it!”
“We need you to remain here for questioning.”
“Ugh! Whatever.”
Am I the only one utterly incapable of getting past Drakoth? Been at it for hours with all sorts of combinations to no avail. I’ve decided to give up as I am legitimately incapable of finishing the game.
There’s also spaghetti
When tomatoes didn’t exist in Europe until the Renaissance and spaghetti didn’t become popular until the industrial revolution
Fantasy lol
The game has a bug in the chase scene after the thief, a man appears even though he says he is attracted to women…
This bug has been fixed in the newest version; I recommend updating the game and trying again. If you continue to encounter this problem, please write to support@hostedgames.org. Thanks!
What are the names of everyone who you can accuse for the murder? I can’t remember any of their names. I want to accuse the daughter or the wife of Dora (I know that’s not his name but I don’t know what it is I just know it starts with a D) but once you get to the accusing part there’s no way to see anyone’s name
I’ve generally been enjoying it, but just got to a flashback scene where you are shown your life with your master and I’ve started zoning out and pressing next without reading. Its a bad habit of mine that happens when there are large sections of text with absolutely no choices or options. I’m sure this section is important but seeing large pages of text with no options just makes my eyes glaze over in this type of game.
Having played through it for a few hours, I think it’s safe to say that the tone of this particular title is… all over the place. Pretty hard anachronism (Spaghetti, jumpsuits, and sunglasses come to mind) tends to disrupt the immersion and the game’s approach overall feels like it’s all over the place.
A lot of narrative results when you make decisions makes it feel like the stats mean little to the overall course of the story (“You do well with this action in regards to the stat you are strongest in… but due to your own inexperience/narrative circumstances you still lose the fight!”).
I’m sorry, but I’m actually finding myself struggling to progress further through the story. I’m not sure if this is just due to my subjective tastes.
Ya same, seems like there has been 0 polishing done and the writer completed the ending and thought ‘Yup, let’s submit to COG’. The murder investigation seems tedious and pointless, I did it three times and it seems that unless you choose every perfect option there is no way of telling who the murderer is. Plus every option you choose if of the accused only instead of having like two accused of different crimes. Also it sucks when you playthrough the entire game only to die when failing to kill the dragon. Like i had 100 health and just beacuse i failed the fire killed me even though every previous fail did -20.
It almost seems like a hobby choice project instead of a HG.
I noticed that too. In the duel with the lord I maxed out my stats using notepad++ to see if I could win and I still lost, and my character was utterly humiliated. That didn’t feel fair at all and felt unnecessarily harsh.
Only played the demo. But man was the choice between saving or leaving Betty was hard.
I agree with what other people are saying… It seems kinda all over the place and that there could be more choices but I do think the story is very interesting! Also question is it possible to romance Ike/Ingrid? I’ve played though 4 times and still get the I don’t feel the same way and then i thought maybe the romance achievement was for Riley (even though on my route I play straight women) but I “romanced” and still didn’t get the achievement so idk
Is there a way to get past Drakoth? I have died in the 8 playthroughs that I have done so far.
@Mei_Hiroshi @yy_lai what did you make out of the lucky number & how did you use it as a 5 digit code for ester vault? I got 7, don’t know what to do with it.
Dion?
Also I would like to second the need for a list of names and all the collected evidence on the page where you have to choose them (or at least in the stats screen). The game specifically states that it will not leave you out in the cold and will not require you to write anything down because it will keep track, but then completely abandons you on the page where you have to choose and makes you type in a name. Not even multiple choice. I feel kinda lied to, ngl.
Yea you can, they just have to like you enough.
OMG I just found out who the killer was.
Ngl, I found it by just typing in every available name until I got a hit, because I legitimately had no idea.
The last person you would ever expect. Take the daughter to the forest, investigate the vineyards, talk to the coroner at the guard barracks, and investigate the murder scene. Once it’s time to accuse someone, name Kela as the murderer. It seemed nonsensical to me, but apparently the MC has all of this information that I don’t remember getting, and you suddenly have a bunch of unique dialogue options once the Sheriff starts asking the questions.
