Something I’d bring up is that Homo sapiens sapiens actually has much more physical endurance than Neanderthals, though we’re somewhat lacking in upper body strength. Prior to the invention of the bow, our favorite method of hunting involved walking after prey for hours until it couldn’t run anymore, then spearing the exhausted beast.
Whether H. sap’s greater endurance can be fit into the game is another story, of course (we may have too many advantages as it is).

I’m curious on how progress is going, this seems like a really interesting concept.
If your still looking for concepts for sentient creatures maybe a lion like creature would be cool for like a desert region and how can you forget elves they are famous fantasy creatures. For the sea you could always use the concept of shark people. I’d like to see this game progress, so keep up working on it.
Hey guys and girls, sorry for the lack of communication my my part! I haven’t given up on ‘Oxoic’ but I’ve had a busy two weeks to work on anything, as I have to focus on finding employment and the like. However I can say that the planning is nearly finished, so I’ll post another update when I start writing and coding the story. I’m delighted at all the kind words and suggestions so far and hope that I can make something interesting for you to play by the end of the project!

Thanks for asking, planning is pretty much done, hoping to start writing and coding in Nov. If things go well I would like to have a demo for the Prologue and first chapter or two up for early Dec.

Ok, writing on Oxoic is now just starting, I’m estimating it’ll be split into a Prologue and about 8 main chapters atm.
Quick update to let people know this is still an ongoing project, I’ve been caught up between job hunting and a crossover fanfiction project I’m writing. I have considered possibly leaving this to one side temporary so I might do a smaller project as a sort of test run for this one, since I do have a couple of interesting ideas across several genres. Thanks for sticking with me and your continued support.

Heh, well hopefully not that long, though at present I am devising a smaller, simpler gamebook with some suggestions from Adrian as a means of testing the Choice Script format for myself. Thanks for your support in any case.
